Exactly. The Lions and Bears benefitted from picking in the top-5 or top-10 in the draft for years and years - and screwed it up. Then the Lions got a good GM who was able to take advantage of it. Now, he will face the same challenge that Gutekunst typically does. Gutekunst has had some really solid mid-round picks, and excellent FA signings. No one gets it right all the time, but he’s missed too often in the first (and third) rounds. Imagine our defense- very good as it was this past season - if Stokes and Van Ness were even above-average?
It's not necessary the draft picks , it's the coaching.. GB mostly always drafting 25 - 30 while the Bears and Lions sooner is because the Packers has been the division leader.. drafting sooner is nothing to brag about

The problem with LF is i'm not seeing enough players growth they aren't better then they were the year before that's a coaching problem. LF does not design game plans that utilize his best players that like all the greatvplay callers do is to scheme your best players to get open don't see it because it doesn't happen. When he does you say his play called is to easy to stop. So that goes in hand with either he changes his Approach and style on that situation or hand it over to some fresh eyes and see what happens...
