  • Celine Dion has been out of the public eye, or at least off the grand public stage, since revealing her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022. But that is about to change… A new documentary coming out today - ‘I am: Celine Dion’ - will give audiences an up-close-and-personal look at the aftermath of Celine’s diagnosis, showing her in her most vulnerable state yet. The powerful documentary got us thinking, how easy is it to show vulnerability? While Coleen thinks vulnerability shows strength, Christine isn’t a fan when people overshare…

This isn't oversharing at all. This is a very rare disease and in this care, I applaud her for sharing. I think this is amazing of Celine to show the how the few people who have this, how much they suffer.

I think one of the main things we are forgetting here... is that now we're more aware of Stiff Persons Syndrome. Because I for one never knew it existed and also in general, we are able to see what average people with the same condition are going through. This documentary will give a much needed awareness and possbile funding for research in finding a cure.

But that's how Celine has been her entire life, sharing personal things with her fans, the people who gave her what she has in regards to fame and love for music. Plus it brings awareness and much more to the cause

I understand not making a documentary about every bad thing that happens to you, but I don’t see why something like this should be a secret. If she wants it private, fine, but it doesn’t impose on me if she chooses to share.

shes been unable to identify the issue for 17 years until it was announced. She has always been this open book her whole life. and when she hasn't been able to share it for her fans thats been killing her. As she stated, this is a thank you letter and love you letter to her fan

@@Krobra91I mean more a response to the panel. To me it’s fine if she tells or doesn’t tell, but the media really picks on people for being vulnerable.

I think people have been speculating what's going on with Celine and wanting to know the truth so she felt compelled to share her story. Also it's freeing to get the truth out and not keep it hidden. She can help others with her story. I wish her a good recovery.

If vulnerability of others makes you feel uncomfortable then maybe you should grow emotionally.

@@rhondastover6697 it was heartbreaking to watch I've been a fan for 27 years and saw her in Dublin in 2008. I've followed everything she has done including french which I also speak due to being a super fan of hers and this docu really did tear my heart but I've also seen her new interviews in last few weeks and she is singing good again and I hope it continues and they can manage her symptoms

I hope felines has loving family and friends. Moral support, love caring family and friends is so important. When woman like celine is going on tour around northern hemisphere. As well as the southern hemisphere. Really rentuless. Full on going out on stage night after night. Celine even though we will never know each other never will. Have a forefilling positive future. I apologise for the length of this comment. 😢😮😊😊❤❤❤❤

It’s ok for women but if a man is vulnerable and cry’s in front of his date she’ll friend zone him and say theres no chemistry
