Thank you for this! I’m pretty sure you saved me from having to buy a new printer by giving a glimpse of how things are supposed to connect under the hood when I had to take ours apart to fix a broken gear and then reconnect some ribbon cables
It is very fiddly to do but can be done. The easiest way is to unscrew and remove the sensor ends, it makes it much easier to get the smaller ribbons in and then put the sensors back in place.
