Been slow traveling for over 30 yrs...160plus nations, Antarctica and space....had a thai woman go to my bank account w faked marriage papers...she took 1.4million usd then tried to kill me
i met a couple who have travelled to almost all the countries in this planet .now both of them are in the Nursing home ,due to age ,with the husband having dementia. i met another couple in an Assisted living facility ,who couldnt recognized me anymore ,as both of them have developed alzheimer's disease . it was too depressing as few yrs back we were celebrating Christmas Day jollibly . i went back to the facility ,but they were gone already .im planning to retire in the Philippines and hire maids /driver ,who can take good care of me ,until my last breath .i just couldnt afford it here in the US .
as a Home Care Physical Therapist here in the US, i do understand what you are saying......... staying in ALF/Nursing homes here is depressing......and it is getting expensive as per what my patients are telling me....sad to say, this is the reality here in the US......once you get old, family members, although not all, will be thinking to put you on those facilities...or if you are alone, those facilities, will offer their services in return of the title of your property.....very sad reality.....but some of my patients, very few of them, still has their family members like adult sons/daughters who come and visit them regularly.....goodluck on your plan in retiring to my home country, make sure that you will not be fooled by people who will pretend that will take good care of you
Funtastic plan! Same for me...Americans could sure use it
Interesting perspective. I've been to over 40 countries. I found the 7,000 plus islands should keep me busy enough with my Filipina and our 2 kids.
Filipinos are wonderful people, when I clean the beach from plastic, Filipinos just come up and start helping me put it together, it’s wonderful !
Why can't they clean it when you are not there?
Haha.. then on the other side of the point, The Filipinos are throwing trash in the water
@@pimpnsam1
Excuse me it’s not Filipinos those trash came from other Asian countries and foreighners that visits our country!
The same people who threw it there in the 1st place, hahahaha
You shock me covering stuff not many cover...bravo salute.
I have to totally disagree with this guy, great video but i just think it's exausting to constantly travel, and life is short and goes by faster if you're constantly traveling. I've been living abroad since 2009 and I really prefer to minimize my traveling, once you've done a lot of traveling it stops seeming so glamorous, the best thing to do is find one place where you actually enjoy living.
Love it. Contrary oppinions. But read his user name. Amazon seller. Guess what, I was an Amazon seller and quit because (at the time) was too hard to do physical products when you move around the world. And it is boring to stay in one place forever when there is a big world out there. The good news is you are in charge of your life. So park you butt if you are more like him or go on an adventure if you are more like me. Thanks again, Dan
@@VagabondAwake It's not that I like to park my but, it's that I preffer to expore one country, and the Philipines has over 7,000 islands, it's more than enough for me. Plus I curretnly live in Russia, the biggest country on earth, there are plenty of place i can visit without leaving the coutnry. But I personally find a lot of flights and passport control and long trips really exausting and you miss out a on a lot buy not staying in one place long enough to know your way around and form a lot of personal relationships.
Depends if you've found what you've been looking for.
You both are right, it just depends on your personality. I think I am more like you, I'm moving to San Juan, La Union and that'll be home. I'll vacation once or twice a year abroad. BTW I'll be in town 01/20/2024 so I need to download that book on finding an apartment from @VagabondAwake.
Kinda greedy to expect for everything to meets your expectations and still expected everything to be cheap
This video is all over the place. The "reasons I left the Philippines" is a minor topic. It was made a title in order to get views.
It is exactly why I left the Philippines. I went with those because I didn't knwo what you thought about the Philippines. We are all different. 67 countries in 17 years. Why wake up every morning and eat the same ice cream when you have 15 flavors you love?
Thanks Dan I am currently in Malaysia and had this conversation with someone tonight. I said why would you put up that big amount of money in a Malaysian bank when you can get 180 days a year without getting the retirement visa. So far I’ve spent 11 days in kl 7 in Ipoh and my 7 days in Georgetown is up on Monday. On Monday I have a week booked in Langkawi. So far I like Georgetown the most.
Malaysia blows philippines out of water
Night and day
And if you like Filipinos
No problem
Malaysia is full of them
Some people do not like the hassle of leaving the country after 90 days, 180 days. Hence they look for digital nomad visa and mm2h. Currently mm2h is being reviewed but many also applied for sarawak mm2h as it is affordable for expats.
Thanks for this video; it makes good sense. I left the US in 1997 for Cork, city Ireland. It replaced Boston. Once divorced, I've lived in Haarlem, Netherlands 3 years, and also 2 years each in Portugal and Spain (Sabaris, Baiona). I left Ireland in Oct 2022; it's very expensive, and I've bounced between, mostly Malaysia and Thailand; (I love both), and also Vietnam, and Cambodia. Im in KL now. I was a Marine grunt in Nam in 68-69. Two short tours. But, have felt rootless since, and don't think I'll settle permanently. But, spending 5-6 months in a country is a good way. Thanks again
Lived fifteen years of my life in South East Asia, mainly Philippines and Indonesia. Then I moved to Brazil. Will never leave South America, best place to live in these uncertain times!
I enjoy Brazil also.
How about safety there?
@@natalias1212 Already travelled all around South America including very remote places. Never had a single problem, but I'm 100% fluent in spanish and portuguese, that helps a lot to avoid any kind of problems around here.
Dan, I arrived in Baguio last Friday. It hasn't disappointed. Thanks for the retire cheap reports, so glad I decided to purchase a Vagabond Buddha membership. Knowledgw overcomes the fear of taking a chance.
Hello @kevinreist7718, thank you for your personal note of encouragement. It really does make a difference for us when we know people appreciate what we are doing.

Try Cold Stone Ice Cream Shop in Tagaytay. It’s American and it’s Fresh! Only 30 flavors though!😊
Hi Dan I love the analogy with Baskjn Robbins 😊
The tax information is a really interesting point ðŸ‘
I think Qiang (apology on spelling) adds to your couples vids 😊
And have to say your vids of different countries is inspiring 😊
Your information is very valuable, it may seem insignificant, but if we listen carefully we can decipher the secrets you are trying to explain.👌
So nice of you
I'm a polygamous slow traveler, flying solo, but it's mostly because I've discovered that if I keep it moving through the world, it's easier to stay safe. It's starting to get tiring...mostly because I miss safe ice and the use of a blender and a freezer. 😂 I spend a lot of time thinking that I might have a little hobbit in me. Every hobbit needs their hobbit hole home, I guess. 🤷â€â™€ï¸ Maybe I like Lord of the Rings analogies better than ice cream. 😅
Great video Dan! Love the Baskin Robbins analogy. Currently I'm trying to find a happy medium of sorts. A home base and travel from there. It's a big world out there...go where you're treated best and enjoy the most! Hope to meet you both one day on our travels.
I started keeping a home base. But after a few years when I realized I enjoyed moving forward more than going backward so I could spend time wit "my stuff" I got rid of my home base. That saved a bunch of money not paying for an extra place I wasn't sleeping in anymore.
Dan's mode of traveling and earning/managing his money works for him. I am on board with a lot of it but i do have a couple countries that i would like to have closer ties with. So i have bought a couple properties abroad. I also like diversifying my assets and not having all my money in US currency. Of course you should do your research/due dilligence and understand the tax implications.
I am based in both Las Vegas and Makati, I go back and forth and travel to other countries as well - all over Asia, Europe, etc. I've been on F.I.R.E. mode already for many years through passive investing (real estate and stocks), and this allowed me to have this lifestyle. I am also a digital nomad.
Las Vegas and Makati are very good bases. Travel to other countries is a breeze...
good luck to all ...
That does F.I.R.E. stand for exactly?

Most health insurance policies (outside my native country) follow the reimbursement model. If that’s important to you, educate yourself on all the options. ðŸ‘
Here's a funny thing about my relationship with Baskin-Robbins. I ate at my first Baskin Robbins in Malaysia. I didn't even realize I had two Baskin-Robbins in my hometown. They have since shut down over the years.
I wish I could see myself living in the Philippines. Sadly I think their healthcare is scary. I need good healthcare.
lol
Life is short - take a risk or two.
@@alant383 I do tend to leap before I look, but Malaysia has a lot more offerings for me and good health care. I visited there a few years ago and had a great time.
One thing that is not mentioned.. the dreaded Stamp in the passport. Take for instance Cambodia.. they put a large stamp that takes 1 whole visa page in the passport. Thailand takes half a page, while Philippines is just a small stamp. I have a US passport, 31 pages still free after 2 years use. If I where to go through 3 to 5 countries, how many pages and how fast would i use them up? passport re-newel can be a pain in the but and now take up to 6 months in the USA.. I will ride it out here in Thailand until this place changes too drastically to stay. I would like to make a circle from Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, but not at the expense of eating a passport every 3 to 5 years. Plus the cost of short term rental contracts are higher then long term. for me, having a base country, then taking 1 or 2 trips a year to see other places is more convenient.
31 Flavors of Baja California North!!! one flavor I like is Lobster: Yes, it is crayfish lobster. Yet, here I can fish (er, lobster?) for them. Some locals, like the teachers, didn't realize the Aztecs had mined for gold here!! I like the flavor that it was me, not someone else, that made this local observation. It is hard to leave where the locals value me and protect me in every way.
Great video. Love following the TWO of you.
Awesome! Thank you!
As I hv mentioned before, when you are young and healthy you can live wherever you want. When the age catch up with you, we start buying supplements and visiting hospitals or clinics. We hv to be honest with ourselves. Which country is the no 1 in health tourism in the world and in south east asia. Next of course is food. I agree with the Baskin Robbins example.

Another fantastic video. As someone who has been in 80+ countries, I struggle whenever people ask me what my favorite country is. I too, usually use a food analogy, saying that when I go out to eat, sometimes I feel like having pizza, other times steak, and once in a while I crave a salad. In the same way my preferred country/countries can change from day to day depending on what I'm missing. But if I had to pick just one country to stay in for the rest of my life, it would be the US, simply due to the variety of both geography and people. Only issue is that it's difficult to afford living there!
In regard to Baskin-Robbins, since you like salted caramel, drop by Pola Gelato next time you're in Merida, and give their blue cheese apple compote flavor a try. Sounds weird, but I had it last week and it was amazing! Perfect level of saltiness from the blue cheese, punctuated by the sweetness of the apple chunks.
Loved the harem analogy. Definitely got my own favorites, but have never specifically thought of them that way! Initial thought for countries I've revisited repeatedly: Latin America = Mexico (where I am right now), Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil. Asia = Indonesia (specifically Bali) and Thailand. Europe = Italy, France, Germany, and Austria.

Good stuff
Great topic, its got me thinking. I've been to Philippines before, nice place but not perfect. Infrastructure issues, inefficiencies, and health care system have me on the fence about retiring there. Malaysia looks better, the Sarawak MM2H is the least costly and restrictive (required income is $18k per year and only a minimum 30 day stay, not sure about bank deposit requirements if over 50). It makes for an attractive home base in SE Asia and you can slow travel for a good portion of each year.
The Sarawak MM2H for over 50yo, appears the requirements are for a single person, RM150,000 (32K USD) Fixed Deposit and a monthly of RM7,000 (15K USD). If this is incorrect, please add your comment.
lol
I am leaving the PI after 7 years, totally burned out. Food horrible, dirty, loud mouth filipionos yell when they talk, never cover mouths when coughing, walk 4 abreast on sidewalks and wont move, i bring headphones everywhere so i can eat without hearing yelling. People look as u as ATM machine, foreigners mainly come here as sex expats....
Horses for courses I guess - particularly at my age (66), I much prefer the security of having a long-term visa (I'm currently on my 2nd Colombian 3-year pensionado) and being settled in within a particular place to dealing with the imperative of having to relocate to a whole new country every six months and adjust to the climate, language and culture of that place. Granted, after the honeymoon period is over, the place you've settled in may not hold the same fascination for you as when you first arrived, but there are a host of other palatable options for moving to right here within Colombia where I can continue to leverage my long-term visa status. Ideally, I'd like to maintain where I am as a base of operations and make shorter 2-3 week trips to see other countries as finances permit.
Yes. Knowing yourself is more than half of the battle.
And finding yourself is the other half.
You handled very politely the sand to the beach comment. You are wise to appreciate and enjoy the love and companionship of a warm and beautiful women, (and stopped looking).
I still look when a beautiful woman walks by. But that is just nature.
Of course! Never stop appreciating beauty.@@VagabondAwake
This year, i lived in puerto galera on mindoro for 9 months.I had 4 gf's-none over 26yrs.While, they did use me for money-i got my money's worth.
I'm now in Thailand,it has better; food, roads, hotels and imho-better people.
Being 10 to 15% cheaper makes the Philippines a more attractive place for those living on a pension.
If you know the GFs are using you for money...they are not really using you, you are just taking it out in trade!! Good on you! Ya gotta have a hobby! And 20 something women are a great hobby!
Somehow I bet you have been a thailand fanboy all along, tons of overly expressed opinions on the supposed "betters" as usual from you thailand nerds.
@gangstagummybear3432 Not necessarily, one flippina gf was 19yrs, I couldn't afford something like that in say, Thailand.
Also, being diver-the Philippines has some of the best dives sites in se asia.
But, where's the problem-it's only a 3 hour flight between the 2 countries.
Ok, so I am sold on slow-travel now after having watched this. You do an excellent job of explaining it. To lay out the reasons you state: 1. Never worry about being taxed (because you stay less than 180 days) 2. You can move about to enjoy the best weather in each of the different countries (any one country will have an off-season). 3. You get the joy of world travel, without the cost (because you are not traveling as a tourist, but as a local). 4. Late in life, we get tired of the same ole same ole easier than when we were young. When you are young, you are focused on your career, your relationship, discovering what it is like to be an adult. When you are 60, you are ready to let the good times roll. But the good times wear out after a while and why not just move on to a new adventure! I have to admit it is a little scary to pull up roots and just hit the road full time, but I am getting close! Thank you for the best retirement videos out there: Your videos are always chock full of actionable advice, not just an anecdote of someone's vacation. Keep up the good work. I do think I am going to start with the Philippines, and I will get your guide to get going. Time to try the Jamoca Almond Fudge!
Nice summary. :-)
Thanks to your video, I will be moving to a place you visited and lived in the past, Las Terrenas in Dominican Republic, thanks, Salamat Kanimo Dan.

One obvious reason is... your partner is not "Pinay" so it's understandable you're only here for short time and you and your partner need to go back to her or your homeland. You are still welcome here in the Philippines if you have plans to visit again.
We are slow travelers. We do not keep empty beds in our home countries. We move forward through the world. We only visit family and friends once per year or so for a week or two.
Looks amazing there in Philippines
What a great break down. Especially the 180 days in relations to taxes, and bank accounts.
I think I remember seeing a report you made on 1st steps to prepare for slow travel.
Like setting up residency in a non income tax state if American. Renewing driver's licenses, passports. Getting 2 bank accounts Set up with debit cards, getting a few credit cards with travel points ?
Etc etc just the kind of reports one enjoys reading over and over.💪ðŸ‘

Some Pharmaceutical drugs cost more in the Philippines than America.
Very expensive 75 peso a blood pressure tablet.Thailand much cheaper.

Glad you enjoyed it
Can't wait for you to come back again 😊😊😊
Me too. Great country.
It's simple. Instead of nitpicking on the Philippines for clickbait, just leave and never cone back. The Philippines will not adjust or change for you no matter how who justify yourself.
Thanks for commenting.
Hands down, you provide the best balanced information on living overseas. I have a small farm that I love in the USA. So I could use this as one of my wheel countries, except for the cost to fly to the Philippians 2 times a year. Any ideas on how to find cheap USA to the Philippines flights? I am sure you know those tricks.
Thank you especially for your tip on foreign bank accounts. All this makes me want to establish a permanent residence in Puerto Rico. Most of my income is tax free. That is a very big number. Thus tempting to me. But I don't see any reports on Puerto Rico. Did I miss something. Or some reason why Puerto Rico is not all it cracked up to be? I get the crime problems there. That is partly solved by where you live and how you live there.
Skyscanner. :-)
Just google cheap flights to the Philippines, and book moth before your flight.
Theres no perfect country. If you do not want to adjust you ended up hopping and hopping
I love hopping. Let the band play on. :-)
Philippines is heaven on earth for rich Filipinos only Foreigners in PH can't even own small portions of lands but can own condos In PH lands increase in value over time but not condos Foreigners in PH have very limited rights

True. As a foreigner , your rights are virtually non-existent in the Philippines.

I do appreciate your videos. That being said, many of your points would fall better under a title such as "Why I don't stay in one country too long". Many of your points here while valid, have nothing do do with the Philippines. Please don't hate me for saying so. haha.

The cons on Thailand are: English is still a tough thing to find in rural areas and even some larger towns…of course the exception would be Bangkok..con: thailand quickly becoming more expensive to live with just the ave rent for one bedroom at 650 usd per month..So Bangkok rents are what us rents were only 20 years ago…, meaning their catching up. Fast..
Have you been to Morroco? I feel such a pull to go there!!! I have never been outside of the USA and Canada but this is one country I would love to see!!!
Yes, loved it. :-)
@@VagabondAwake do you plan on extensive travel in Africa in the future?
I've been to Morocco twice. The country is fascinating, but the hustlers are relentless. Gabriel Traveler did a video about this exact topic, and his experience matched my own. th-cam.com/video/6EBIihYqzZA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2oWtc34fQ98fx2ux
I said I've been there twice. The first time (in 1995), my experience with this was so bad that after three days I turned around and went back to Spain. I wanted to give it another try, so I went back in 2015-ish for a couple off weeks. It seemed slightly better, but not much. Since I was older, it's possible that I was better-equipped to shrug it off. Now that I've hit the highlights that I wanted to see, it's very unlikely that I'll ever go back.
Great advice Dan! Can you remind me which video you discuss finding short term rentals (not Airbnbs)? Thank you!

Well thats understandable since you dont have a pinay gf you dont have any reason to stay in the country usually people only settle on their own country or their wives country. I think the only one who really enjoy the Philippines are the ones who can afford to live there no matter what the consequences maybe
I love the Philippines. But it is a big world out there. Why not enjoy it in retirement? Thanks, Dan
Why is he hinting towards a Hugh Hefner lifestyle?, coming soon
Analogy. :-)
Fidelity also rebates atm fees like Charles Schwab
🎉very 👠good
Thank you very much
From IRS:
Who Must File
A U.S. person, including a citizen, resident, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, trust and estate, must file an FBAR to report:
a financial interest in or signature or other authority over at least one financial account located outside the United States if
the aggregate value of those foreign financial accounts exceeded $10,000 at any time during the calendar year reported.
Love it. You gave added substantial value to this channel.
@@VagabondAwake It’s because I have $4,000 in a Bangkok Bank savings account, so when I vacation there, I don’t have to bring a lot of cash on the airplane. Also there’s not $10.00 ATM fees for each transaction.
The harem effect in the Philippines .... you had us worried for a minute there!
Whew. lol.
Brother you didn't read Thailand has passed a new law. My tax preparer in Bangkok says the proposed law has not been approved by the Government. Might want to hold up on spreading miss information 🤔
Happy to revise my thoughts on this. Do you have a source to verify this? Thanks. :-)
@VagabondAwake Thai/American lawyer, Bangkok, Benjamin heart. Managing director of integrity legal. He has a TH-cam channel.also American International tax advisors in Bangkok, Thomas Carden. Both my lawyer and my tax advisor disagree with you.
@@VagabondAwake Well, according to the local news, it looks like they will pass the law. However, the tax for most folks is negligible. Still once again, Thailand steps in it..
Welcome to phlipines tito and tita sir ma.am
Thanks for this valuable information Dan. I was looking for a place to retire. But the idea of settling in one place now seems boring. I think you have convinced me to become a slow traveler. I’ll take a few months out of every year and explore….
And I couldn’t believe the comment about bringing sand to the beach. Are you F ing kidding me? Anyone watching your videos and seeing your girl and can’t recognize that she is the diamond in the sand at the beach is an idiot. Lol.
I always thought she was your motivation for traveling all over the place. She would definitely be mine. Not traveling with her would be like having a Lamborghini in the garage and never taking it out for a spin. As a matter of fact, it would be a crime to go to any beach in the world without a girl like that! Keep doing your thing, man!
You never visit yet further north like ILOCOS NORTE and the hidden paradise of the Philippines BATANES
Next visit. :-)
Nice video. I’d have to add an 8th reason. Bad haircuts. While the price is low, in any vlogger video I have seen showing barbers, the end result isn’t too good. Where is that place at 10:40 in the video walking on the walkway over the water? It is stunning.
Lido Beach north of El nido.
Baskin Robbins has 32 flavors, not 31!
Good for you lol
Thanks for correcting me. :-)
33 flavors
@@XxArielxX986 Since when?
@theuwugirl -
That's Bresler's you're thinking about.
Used to like their Bubble Gum.
Suggestion. Just glance at a note card to remember your important points and talk off the cuff. Who cares if there are a few hiccups along the way.
That’s the same thing me and my woman do we travel to her families, houses different islands stay there
So stay more so that know more
Take care on your next country of residence.
Hey Dan. There is an ice cream parlour in Merida Venezuela that has over 400 flavors. Try pickle.
lol. I think I will wait until Venezuela is more stable politically.
Dan, Baskin Robbins, really? 🤣🤣
Bottom line is you have itchy feet.
What was your favorite Island in the Philippines

I normally make - comments though you tend to be very diplomatic I traveled from 1974 to 1992 lost count - what I noticed after 25 , 30 years many changes happen, A beach house I stayed the back door opened to the sand, today is lined 20 to 30 story building on the beach side their is no way to be diplomatic about it! SUNY ISL BEACH 1992 WAS lined with 2 story hotels today its Golden beach lined 40 story building with the cheapest apt $3,000,000.00 dollars for the price of one apt today you could buy the comple building in 1992
So true.
I thought you were gonna say you left the PI because of the crime level.
I have never seen crime there.
And so since you already left the Philippines and exposed all the things you hated about it, its safe to assume then that this will be the last video that the country will be featured in your channel, right?
Tongue in cheek no doubt--67 countries in 17 years. Why wake up every morning and eat the same ice cream when you have 15 flavors you love? I will eat the Philippines over and over again in the future like I always have.
@@VagabondAwakekapaI ng fez
Not a fan of this tasting analogy. Kind of gross.
Ok
So when can you stop jumping around and be stable to a place that you love the most?
Jumping around the world is too exhausting.
I disagree with your analogy.
Sorry !
You get to design your own life. That is for you to decide.
You spent MUCH longer in Philippines than I thought you would.
Why is beyond me 😊✌ï¸
not beyond me
Dan--I'm sure you mentioned previously: how do you guys get around: rent a motorcycle/moped or buses/tuk tuks/other?
Depends what country and how close we are to the city center. In the Philippines we rent a scooter uften and then take buses and ferries between cities.
Go some other places ilands that you never know
How does the wheel work? Each person on the lease, or landlords allow sublet? I like the idea, I just see circumstances where landlords would NOT like it, so curious how to make this idea work. I am still in the rat race, so not yet ready to make the plunge into slow travel, but man, I dream about it every day!
Most if not all landlords in Asia don't care who lives in the house as long as someone pays rent and bills.
Hi Dan. What advice can you give a new traveler to reduce accumulated ATM fees or international wire transfers fees for banking/currency exchange?
Open a Charles Schwab account. They reimburse you all ATM transaction fees. There great
Bring all the Cash , Cash is King in Every Country To Avoid Charges in ur ATM 😂😅😂
Use money transfer services like papal/zoom, remittly, wise etc. Avoid WU thou.
Google Charles Schwab foreign atm rebates.
@@VittoShulman Thank you.

Where are you a tax resident?
Usa
Good points..all the way around.. never thought of some of the things you pointed out. I'm really in love with the thought about the Philippines. But like you said you really need to look into the well dark matters. I'm looking to retire in around 3-4 years. Thank you â¤
Well said!
Visit other countries before the Philippines so you can compare. When in the Philippines, stay in BCG or Makati if you prefer Western living. Get health insurance or travel insurance where you don't have to experience what he experienced, If you are from the US, there are already banks that have branches there. I don't know about taxes because my family and friends have not had that problem. Visa is very easy. Regarding Baskin Robins, they do have all the cream he is talking about, he just doesn't know the places. You can also have all the International food in the Manila area. Look for cheap flights and book ahead of time, at least months.
You say you keep bank accounts in the US. What do you use for the home address for those accounts?
Family or friend.
What about the Baskin robbins and harem approach with women? One can flavor get old, boring and annoying too, right? Variety is the spice of life.
Never really been my thing but many people like to partner swap instead of country swap. I only sample multiple potential partners during the dating phase, not the relationship phase. If a woman is not enough to remain exclusive with it is time to let her go to find someone who appreciates her enough to stay honest.
I will never retire to Philippines.Only 3 destination for me in Asia.Thailand Malaysia or Bali Indonesia.
Malaysia is best choice imho
Bali is congested even on motorbikes
Crackhead comes to this video just to say that, you can stay in those overrated destinations.
Perhaps the most important reason for leaving the Philippines on time should not go unmentioned: the impending war between the two superpowers. The Phils will definitely take a big hit for the huge amount of US-military bases thruout the Phils.
derp
China isn't going to invade anytime soon. Have way too many problems to deal with already and that would only make their problems worse.
America is using those countries like Taiwan, Philippines, Japan, S. Korea as shield so that war doesn't spill to the mainland USA. That's how evil America is.
I don't think China is dumb emough to attack the Philippines. Just my opinion of course. Taiwan maybe.
@@VagabondAwake I was referring to Taiwan.
To much complaining. I will unsubscribe. Forget this blogger guys
Thanks for commenting.
So just to escape the IRS/ taxes in the other countries that I visit, so I should be jumping around the world like a Kangaroo ?
Sorry, too exhausting !
lol. We usually tour a region of the world before we jump to another region.
Don't like the monogamy as country analogy
okay.
I think the Philippines is promising to become better than what it is if only the national and local government will develop more airports because the Philippines is made up of big islands and small islands. The traffic and bad infrastructure in the Philippines is horrendous however the tourists spots are beautiful and amazing if only the local government continue to keep them clean and maintained. Banawe Rice Terraces used to be very beautiful but now that the locals built houses on the terraces and built buildings that are half built showing ugly infrastructures below the streets, the beauty of Banawe completely disappeared. The locals and their government are not thinking progressively. Currently the locals are building big buildings to house tourists but tourists will not go there if one sees chaos, traffic, dilapidated and unfinished buildings. I wonder what the local government and locals are thinking? LOL..
Thanks for sharing your concerns.

Why i wont retire philippines
As you mentioned ice cream is awful as is the food
Very unhealthy fried sugar fatty
Expensive too poor selection
Long line at checkout loud rap music playing in supermarket
Its stinky people burning plastic and garbage in street
Crowded
Slow Internet
Constant power failures
Beggars poor
Lousy justice system
Where is arnulfo ?
Typhoons
High taxes beaurocracy red tape
Gasoline gas soda electronics electricity and soon snack foods expensive
Loss of civil rights
No guns no freedom of speech no voting no land ownership in your name
And pay immigration for this privilege
If you have permanent residency 13a your wife can withdrawl her sponsorship or if you annul or if she dies your visa cancels and reverts to 9a tourist ive visited nearly 100 countries in 40 years no other country i know of does such a cruel thing
Like you said there are 200 countries in world need to compare
I did eventually find a place thats very nice
I never had trouble with filipinos
I.e. scam cheat steal broken heart etc but 10 million Filipinos live abroad and millions more trying to escape
Theres a reason for it
You forgot earthquakes and volcanoes.
@@metalguru5226 I never experienced those

Least favorite thing here is how hard it is to find foods I love. I'm a Mexican food junkie and where I am there just isn't any to be found. I also love korean food which fortunately has become more available. Still miss my tacos though and that's hard to deal with.
I also can't stand Bayambang, I'm sure it has something good but I haven't found it. It's just ugly and needs a complete face lift. Too many cars on badly outdated streets, not as friendly as other towns in the area.
where are you talking about exactly
Just get out of there.
