When I was a young girl we rescued a Bobcat cub, fed it milk with an eyedropper and she grew up to be a beautiful stunning creature. She was tough, ran the neighborhood and took no crap from anyone or any other animals. I'm 67 years old now and I still hold her deep in my heart. She was an outstanding pet.❤❤❤❤
You couldn’t do that now. Now, we know better. It’s not a hobby any more. “Running the neighborhood” is not desirable. And you can’t possess a bobcat without legal permits. What happened back then is exactly the reason why.

I didn’t realize that tiny squeaky thing coming up the drive way was gonna turn out to be a BOB CAT!! But respect to the people that kept him & raised him. He’s very pretty.
Beautiful animal..so happy you found room in your lives for him..he seems very happy. I know you must love him as much also!! My daughter found one injured on a road in Cali. She stopped ( she loves animals). The bobcat was alive. She got help. They resuscitated the cat, got him off road away from traffic. After knowing he was ok, Sent him on his way back to his habitat...she didn't risk leaving him in traffic no matter....all animals can use our help..❤
There are so many beautiful videos of people adopting abandoned animals. But while I think its a very wonderful and noble thing to do please don't forget they are still wild animals🎉

When they become mature, what do you think is going to happen with their instincts and aggressions when they’re not afraid to express their instinctive behaviors? Think on that, and then think what will happen to such an animal.
Long ago around '68 to '72, I was an assistant to an equine veterinarian and I rode with him to a small ranch near Superstition Mountain where the family had a mobile home as their ranch house. It was late in the day as we finished the work and the family invited us in for a little refreshment while the owner wrote out the payment. (Back then writing good checks was common.) While I was seated in the living room the family cat left the kitchen and went to the bathroom, quietly using and flushing the toilet. At first I was surprised that they had a pet bobcat, but the bathroom usage astounded me.

Even domesticated animals run away, attack, etc. This just goes to show that animals are intelligent survivalists. The tutu is a lot and I'm not a fan of the anthropomorphic nature of it all. I also agree with what someone else mentioned about special facilities designed to treat and release animals like this back into their habitats. This attempt to domesticate is very different from living in harmony with nature. Who knows if or why this bobcat's mother was no longer around. Perhaps she was wounded, sick, or worse 😑 Real help would include respecting the animals' world. Perhaps that log cabin, beachfront property, campsite, mountainside mansion, or latest sprawling production might have to find another home but at least lovelies like this bobcat would be able to thrive in peace ✌️

Yo también tuve mis bellas La Niña una gatita blanca con su cabecita gris era preciosa la rescate junto a sus hermanos recién nacidos su madre no estaba y gritaban de frío y hambre los puse a los 6 en una cajita de zapato y me los lleve a la casa, su mamá al otro día la encontramos y estaba muerta , compré leche los abrigue y de los 6 la única que se salvó fue mi niña que se aferraba a la mamadera y los otros se fueron eran muy chiquititos y muy delicados. La niña estubo con migo 3 años maravillosos y se enfermo con leucemia la salvamos una vez pero la otra vez no pudimos y se fue. Sufrí mucho , y llegó otra gatita la Motita mi regalona era maravillosa ella sabía cuando estába enferma y llegaba a estar junto a mi. Y no se que pasaba que al ratito yo estaba bien. Y también la atacó la leucemia y se fue, nunca las olvidaré han sido una parte importante de mi vida y estarán siempre en mi corazón ❤️ al igual que mi perrita Negrita que nos dió 15 años de su vida todos la amamos y una vesícula Biliar se la llevó. Fue muy triste verla irse . Todos estuvimos con ella y descansa en nuestro jardin. Los animales son parte de la familia. Espero un día volver a verlas. Ani de Chile

Yo también tuve mis bellas La Niña una gatita blanca con su cabecita gris era preciosa la rescate junto a sus hermanos recién nacidos su madre no estaba y gritaban de frío y hambre los puse a los 6 en una cajita de zapato y me los lleve a la casa, su mamá al otro día la encontramos y estaba muerta , compré leche los abrigue y de los 6 la única que se salvó fue mi niña que se aferraba a la mamadera y los otros se fueron eran muy chiquititos y muy delicados. La niña estubo con migo 3 años maravillosos y se enfermo con leucemia la salvamos una vez pero la otra vez no pudimos y se fue. Sufrí mucho , y llegó otra gatita la Motita mi regalona era maravillosa ella sabía cuando estába enferma y llegaba a estar junto a mi. Y no se que pasaba que al ratito yo estaba bien. Y también la atacó la leucemia y se fue, nunca las olvidaré han sido una parte importante de mi vida y estarán siempre en mi corazón ❤️ al igual que mi perrita Negrita que nos dió 15 años de su vida todos la amamos y una vesícula Biliar se la llevó. Fue muy triste verla irse . Todos estuvimos con ella y descansa en nuestro jardin. Los animales son parte de la familia. Espero un día volver a verlas. Ani de Chile

I'm cynical, but we can hope it's because most people realise that they're wild animals, they get big and that they need to be rehabilitated so they can be returned to the wild where possible.
