Such a lovely tutorial. This gentlemen, takes his time to help which is good for me as, learning Classical Guitar, at the age of 66 years young is difficult to say the least. Many thanks and Kind regards Colyn.
Many thanks for your message! I shall try with, a great deal of practice. I tend to listen to a certain point, then write it down and read from your kind tutorial. At present, I'm having trouble trying to actually read music, as such i have written the complete list of notes on the entire fretboard. Also, i never forget....P.I.M. A. Hopefully, one day i shall be able to play, a complete Peice of work. Thanks again for your message. Kind regards Colyn.
Very nice tutorial. I have a question please. I have struggled with fingerings on the very first measure. I am using music by Andres Segovia "Studies For the Guitar by Fernando Sor", and my music shows a bar chord from the pickup note, through most of the 1st measure, which would indicate that the D is played on the 2nd string fifth fret. (C chord raised two frets) thoughts on this?
You probably mean to identify the D note on the fifth string, fifth fret. It does not matter. I like the open string in the beginning of the piece but either way is fine. Do what works best for you.
Se Sor avesse voluto far continuare l'accompagnamento avrebbe scritto note di maggior durata. In realtà le note durano 1/8 e a mio avviso vanno fermate. È anche un esercizio per il pollice.
Este es un tutorial realmente aburrido. No es necesario tantas indicaciones. Insoportable. Deberias de tocarlo completo antes de hacer un tutorial tan desesperantemente lento y aburrido.

In the Segovia book, the show a CII on the first note, constituting bar.
Yes. In some situation I chose different fingering options than Segovia's to reflect my specific interpretation of this study.
Thank you so much my friend 👍
