As a parent, I love just seeing you travel as a family as we love doing so with our own kids. These types are really cool and fun to watch - not many folks winter camp. And literally staying IN the Great Barrier Reef was awesome. Maybe someplace along the coast? Beach camping? The Northern California coast is beautiful. Or many national parks in the US have lodging inside the park. Safe travels!
Hunter’s giggles are the cutest! I remember my late grandpa, he used to do the “ahhhh” sound after sipping his coffee, and my little cousins would drink and do the ahh sound too. This video brings back old but good memories.
Hunter indeed is a “Shining Star”! 🌟 She’s so blessed to have amazing parents. And you two are so blessed to have an adorable, sweet, and happy little girl !❤️ Continue creating priceless memories and adventures .
Congrats on getting Hunter to wear her gloves :) It's adorable watching her charm everyone that meets her. It's funny that the two of you are doing winter camping because very few Canadians have ever done it - usually only during the other seasons.
Wow! What an amazing and spiritual experience! I was teary eyed when little Hunter was named “shining star” what a blessed experience!❤️ Thanks for bringing us along!
I love how loving and enduring hunter was during the smudging. She truly embodied the experience for being just a toddler. I love how open you guys are to other cultures and beliefs.
FYI the branches on the floor aren’t birch but rather balsam fir. Birch is deciduous and looses its leaves in the fall. Glad you enjoyed Temagemi, and you are right you should come back for a canoe trip.
Boy, you guys are really going all in on roughing it, Canuck-style! I've lived here my entire life and even I've never gone winter camping in the wilderness. It's great that you've opted for a true experience of authentic Canadiana, rather than the usual touristy things I've seen in other videos of people visiting Canada (CN Tower, Niagara Falls, etc...). It's comparable to if I ever visited Australia, camping in the outback. Love the joy on Hunter's cherubic little face. She looked so tiny and cute nestled in between those grisly Canadian woodsmen. Good on ya! Think you'll be back in Southern Ontario before you leave?
@@alowishusabercrombie8318 Boo!!! Why so negative. The little gal is obviously loving every minute of it. Hint: just because your life sucks doesn't mean you have to shit on other people's joy.
You are raising Little Shining Star to be a wonderful person. Showing her the world,at a young age, instills in her compassion and acceptance. Thank you for being great parents.
Hunter's laughter is just one of the most precious sounds I've heard in a long time. :-) After watching this video, I now have some new activities on my bucket list...
There is so much I loved about this vlog...watched it with a smile on my face the whole time. Hunter has the best parents and I'm so happy for her that you're making these videos because she is too young to remember them but when she'll be a bit older and watch herself doing all these amazing things, well, I think you're setting her up for success as an adventurer, world traveller and nature-lover. Kudos to you both. I loved watching Hunter try hot chocolate and those big burly men talking to her like she's an adult and not talking down to her was so cute. Truly a heartwarming vlog. The only one little thing that's wrong with it...sorry to correct you Jess, but you said it multiple times haha...those are not birch tree leaves (birch isn't an evergreen....maybe balsam?). Thanks again for sharing your wonderful adventures! Sending much love from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada 🤗🤗🤗
A 'welcome to country' in the wilderness. Enchanting. Being in touch with nature is the most authentic visit. This episode is that. Little Hunter will remember those drums and warm welcome.
It's awesome to see you all enjoying the best of what Canada has to offer in the middle of winter. It would be fun to see you come back during our summer months so that everyone around the world understands that Canada doesn't always have snow. A lot of people assume that Canada is a frozen place year round but we have some amazing summers too. Hunter makes me smile every single time and her laugh is the most contagious thing.
Hello all. About 20 years ago I went on a tour in March that called into Yosemite National Park. Most of us coach going tourists were middle aged but there was a family of Australians on the tour. They had two young girls. They had not seen real snow before and at the park entrance we had to pull over and the driver had to put snow chains on the wheels. While the driver was busy I’ve seen so many middle aged adults playing in the snow with these Ozzie kids. We were snow-balling, making snowmen and snow angels. Never seen so many adults playing in the snow.
Every episode with you is a new experience. Thanks for reminding us that the world is so beautiful. 💕 There is something out there that keeps us stay hopeful.
I'm so glad you're enjoying your trip to our country! You've inspired us with your fabulous winter camping trip, since I live in Ontario, Canada and have never tried it!
Just love this vlog! So special and really enjoying the cultural aspect. I think when God blessed you with a baby, he selected Hunter personally so that you could all enjoy the world around you with her. What a little trooper she is! Your vlogs just get better and better, if that was possible. Just brilliant! Xxxx
I watched this while snow is falling outside my window here in Virginia. I'm impressed you went camping in winter. Such adventurers! I loved how the men talked to Hunter as she sat between them. I hope she let the pacifier go easily. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
After watching your amazing adventures all over, it’s so exciting to see you guys in Canada doing some of the same things I do with my family! You guys are troopers! Doesn’t matter where you are what you are doing you enjoy everything so much. Hunter little snow onesie is the cutest ever
Once I have watched this video I will have completed watching every video of yours from the very first one to the present (18/1/2022, 1:53am in Adelaide). I have done this in about a month. I only started from your first video in the week or two before Christmas 2021, before that I watched your various travel playlists in reverse chronological order, unfortunately. After doing that, I realised there were more videos to be found that weren't in the playlists so I decided to go to the very beginning and here I am, all caught up, it has been very interesting watching you all grow as people over your years (my weeks) and the quality of your videos improve every day. Also I have been sure to press the like button on each and every video and watched some more than once (travel series). So you're welcome for the thousands of likes and views lol. I'd love it if you could let me know how many videos you've posted so I know how many i've watched and the minutes of content if youtube shows you that. Keep up the travels! I'm currently on a gap year just after finishing high school before uni, I plan to work for the next few months then either go to Canada or Queensland (very different I know) for the remainder of the year. P.S. I am half Canadian, half Australian.
Everytime I watch your videos I can't help but feel like you guys gave managed to give yourself and your beautiful daughter a live worth living. You guys are humanity at its best; travelling, sharing stories and culture, and bringing up your child with nature rather than screens.
You guys are the best... The way you are raising hunter is sooo inspiring...love to see, how she is adapting all the adventures so quickly when sometimes we grown ups can't do... Well done, I loved Winter camping. I came to Canada in 1990 and joined a Canadian Scouting Rover crew, and we camped all year round. But amazing you did it with a toddler. I am living just North of Toronto, and love how close the wilds are. Have fun with all the Canadian Winter activities, hope to see you, ice skating on a frozen lake and enjoying eating Beaver tails! Keep warm, it's chilly out there.
The last time I watched this channel Jess was pregnant. Life and a certain world event slowed me down for a while, but I'm back and I have a lot of videos to watch and catch up on your lives :)
LOVE this video so much! That little Hunter is such an amazing sweetheart 💕 She is such an adorable pumpkin and is doing so well! You definitely would of had to go through the dummy withdrawal regardless, so I say keep going with it! I also would say another trick is to put the remainder of her dummies into a fancy bag whenever she finds them and say you will give them to the fairies for the babies that need them as she is all grown up! Put it on a tree limb overnight and in the morning take the bag down and tell her the fairies have taken them to all the babies that need them! So many parents I know have done this and has worked like a charm! Otherwise, if you just hide them from this point, I am sure she will get used to it. I also love those ideas about the ice fishing and activities in the summer! They sound amazing!
Another fantastic video, sure makes me want to go and experience a night in the snow. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next video. All the best.
What a beautiful experience for all 3 of you, especially Hunter. Steve & Jeff I want to congratulate you for being such awesome parents to your little “shining star.” She’s going to learn so much. Oh and as a parent, I know what it’s like for Hunter not to have her dummy…awww poor baby. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with all of us ❤️
Wonderful video! So glad that you enjoyed your outdoor Canadian experience. Just a quick note....those branches on the floor in your tent are likely spruce branches, not birchwood. From a fellow Canadian and botantist :)
Little Hunter is handling super well with the cold weather out there and snow then I would do.So brave..Enjoed this vlog. Can't wait for your another adventure.
Delighted to be catching up with you! So glad you survived winter camping and it was not -25 C which would have been just harsh! We had a month of -25 to -35 C in Alberta but mild winter camping is definitely fun! Come to Alberta in the spring, summer and fall for Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton. Train through the Rocky Mountains to Vancouver if you can... Happy trails! Your little Hunter is adorable! Xoxk Joanne 🇨🇦
I’m so amazed at how you guys adventure! I just get so happy when I see a new video in my list. Also Hunter’s laugh, that is the medicine I needed today 💚 we need an dummy update!!
What an awesome fantastic video wauw 🤩 truly a beautiful memorial time ( For Hunter too look back on) Hunter giggles in the slee, just watching her Face light up,with fascination, joy I can see you going Back once Hunter bit older to do more of those Adventures 😜😍. Great video. We are also planning a Canadian trip to fish. I love watching you learn about the tribe. I really wanted Hunter to have a hat on her little Aussie head. Brrrrrr. :-)
This was so special. Thank you for enjoying our Canadian winters. I feel a little hypocritical saying that considering its currently double negative temps outside and I'm toasting warm with my furnace going LOL. I love your visits to my home country. You're welcome back any time 😊 You've been to Western Canada and Ontario so next time you come may I suggest Quebec (Quebec City is the only walled city in North America) and our Maritime Provinces - New Brunswick (Bay of Fundy highest tides in the world), Nova Scotia (Gaelic culture), Prince Edward Island (home of Anne of Green Gables) and Newfoundland (discovered by Vikings over 1000 yrs ago - and you need to get screeched and kiss a cod).
This video was really special for me. When I was a kid I spent my summers at a camp in Temagami, on Lake Temagami. It's a beautiful place and it's a really small town. I've never been there in the Winter and I loved seeing your Winter camping experience, as well as all of your experiences camping. Thank you.
Wow! Hunter has already had so many great adventures with the two of you! That was so nice to see the sharing of the Indian culture with everyone! Your videos are very entertaining and educational. Thank you again for sharing!
Literally grew up an hour north from there! SO excited that you guys are exploring what many Ontario friends have never seen! (so thank you!!) Stay warm!
When I was a baby, my Moma called my pacifier a “dum dum binky “. You are the only one besides her I’ve heard reference a pacifier with “dum”my in it. It made me smile as I just lost both of my parents due to a tragic car accident. Thank you for the smile. ❤️
Such a cool experience for you guys love camping in winter in a hot tent! Nice you had mild weather! Thanks again for the great video! See you next time! 👍✨AA Family
So glad you came back to Canada with little Hunter. We live in such a beautiful country! I live in Manitoba which is in the prairies which has plenty of rivers for canoeing and plenty of beautiful forests. I would love to see you on a canoe expedition in Canada! It's one of my husbands favourite things to do!! Love you videos!! Happy travels!!
What a cool camping trip! Winter camping is definitely it’s own special experience. My husband and I have the same mentality as you: we love traveling and doing things as a family. And okay, Hunter straight up looks like a little fawn in that snowsuit - so cute! She looks to be having a blast in the snow.
That was truly one of the best blogs I couldn’t stop smiling , hunters laugh is so beautiful and honestly the guys camping people were really nice and wow all that snow ,, and aww hunter you done well without your dummy ❤️
That was so special! Thank you for sharing this adventure! For shower the ritual with the Tribe was so impactful! May Hunter someday see how much you both love life and God’s children! She is a true snow ❄️ bunny 🐰 🙏🥰🙏
Wonderful adventures! Happy to see you guys enjoying family life! It was very interesting to know your take on experiencing snow as Australians. It's such fun to see Hunter grow and discover new facial expressions :) Love from Ukraine!
So happy to see you guys enjoying your time in our wonderful country! I'm on the other side of Canada (in Alberta) but thrilled that you are here with us.
OMG - I was going to express concern and fear about hypothermia, but your hosts were absolutely awesome and had you all beautifully sorted! What an amazing surprise with your Indigenous visitors - really memorable! I can’t believe the quality of your dinner as well. Great experience enjoying our country! Many Canadians have NEVER done anything like this so maybe this will inspire them to not see the snow and cold as a curse! 😂
What a lovely vlog, it put a huge smile on my face!! Such a beautiful location! Hunter is adorable, absolutely wonderful to see her loving this just as much as you two do too-she has the cutest laugh! And yes, would love to see more videos like this for sure! :)
I can’t work out if I watch your videos for the epic adventures or Hunters glorious expressions as she experiences new things. It’s pretty 50/50 at the moment!
I enjoyed watching all your videos and have a little one with you, “Hunter” she is the cutest, funniest, love able, prettiest one. She Adapts so well to every element that you bring Hunter too. Hunter is very very lucky to have amazing parents like the both of you are. Can’t wait to see what is next. I can’t wait.
Once upon a time I had watched every single one of your videos. I think I was sub 600 something. You were one of my favorite travel channels and back in my own travel blogging hayday I watched you guys do your daily vlogs religiously. I just thought about you guys today and decided to see how much you've grown over the past five years or so. I knew you were steadily growing, so I'm not surprised to see how far you've come. But I am overjoyed to see you two (now three! eeee!) still out there doing what you love. Just thought I'd share some feel goods with you.
This was such a lovely video, put a huge smile on my face. I especially loved when Hunter was copying one of men by going "aaah" after drinking the hot chocolate.
This is amazing!! The best and cutest family trip❤️ it reminds me of The Bucket List Family!!! I love seeing these families with little ones traveling😍 breaking the stereotype. So sweet!!
We hope you all enjoyed this video it was such a memorable experience - let us know if you want to see more of these types of videos and where :)
Do you guys want another baby?
Hey, just so you know those weren't Birchwood leaves, they're pine tree branches. ☺️
I really enjoy watching all your family existences ❤️❤️
As a parent, I love just seeing you travel as a family as we love doing so with our own kids. These types are really cool and fun to watch - not many folks winter camp. Thanks for bringing us along!
As someone who have panic disorder, watching Hunter really makes me feel calm and relaxed. She is adorable
Same and it’s good knowing I’m not alone

That was truly one of the best blogs I couldn’t stop smiling , hunters laugh is so beautiful and honestly the guys camping people were really nice and wow all that snow ,, and aww hunter you done well without your dummy ❤️
That was so special! Thank you for sharing this adventure! For shower the ritual with the Tribe was so impactful! May Hunter someday see how much you both love life and God’s children! She is a true snow ❄️ bunny 🐰 🙏🥰🙏
I'm so glad you do all this for me :D. Love watching adventures that I would never dare to do myself.
Yes would love to see you guys on a canoe trip with little Hunter
Wonderful adventures! Happy to see you guys enjoying family life! It was very interesting to know your take on experiencing snow as Australians. It's such fun to see Hunter grow and discover new facial expressions :) Love from Ukraine!
So happy to see you guys enjoying your time in our wonderful country! I'm on the other side of Canada (in Alberta) but thrilled that you are here with us.
Me too
such an amazing vlog. Hunter is such a trooper🥰. Thank you Stephen and Jess for this amazing video. :)
I love hunter she is like a snow queen . Giggling
Wow what an amazing experience!! Hunter has the cutest little laugh ☺️❤️❤️
I had a school called Shining Stars in Visakhapatnam, India. That's what I envisioned, every child - a Shining Star. Hunter is one awesome kid!
Love the video of this type of adventure content. Keep it coming!
Please do more tours with this group! They were so cool!
Loved your winter wonderland adventure and enjoying all your videos xx
