I enjoyed this fairly well. I do have some suggestions and opinions if you'll hear them. (I'm biased towards TDS) 1.) I think it's important to counts smoothness as well. I think that TDS wins a point in this category as it's UI feels smoother. Even things such as shooting gives good anticipation : result. 2.) I think that TDS and TDX at least tie in the category of balancedness. TDX is fairly new, making powercreep much less relevant, however it also means that players don't have a clear goal. Older players will not feel as rewarded, so new players will experience thrill, but there is no good late game (im biased tho). 3.) I think that the two paths shouldn't give any advantage. Instead, counting it twice was good, and maybe giving it some brownies points for being able to use both paths in the game Idk what else to say Great work everybody subscribe!
Tds graphics are very good, the only reason I gave tdx the win in that category was because it is more detailed. I didn't try to say the graphics in tds are bad.
at the time of the release of tds, below was 16 years old, a team that was also not developed, you can notice that the troops that are being reworked are much more beautiful than the old ones that received few reworks or a new animation
I'd say both games have pros and cons and are unique in their own ways, especially in game design, and thus shouldn't be compared. Also, keep in mind that TDX is still in a BETA state; there are still a lot of maps, towers, features, and more unique game modes in the way, while TDS is already a well-established game with a pretty long history of content updates.

It's in a BETA phase, of course they need some basic and generic towers like Grenadier and Golden Ranger (both towers coming out soon) at the start for foundation of the next updates. Also, the new towers we got are very much original and work in their own creative ways, so I don't see your point.
If i were to have a complaint in tdx it would be the grinding it takes forever to get some higher end towers but atleast the tdx devs are trying to fix this
I really wouldn’t say that the graphics in TDX is better. The maps may be more detailed, but just look at the explosions and animations on some towers (accel, mini, etc), they just look gorgeous. And for balance, TDX also has the same problem, shotgunner is worse than ranger the starter tower. Plus fallen is not meant to be a hard mode, the difficulty should be normal
For multipliers, the thing that makes Mystery enemies so hated is RNG and Multiplier just does what it does and multiplies enemies plus if you set you targetting to strongest the towers will snipe the strong ones first and the Multiplier will end up cloning the weaker enemies. As for Mysteries even if you use the same strategy that won't work because it spawns and not clone enemies and thus allowing to spawn bosses with RNG in which no one likes
The graphics aren't bad in tds. I just think tdx is more detailed. I haven't played elite and expert mode yet in tdx and got all my information about these modes from youtube and the tdx wiki. So I could be mistaken about the balancing.
I mean both games are great, each have pros and cons on their own. TDS already had great animations for towers, enemies, etc. The quality of the game has drastically improved from the start. Unfortunately, it seems many people believe that Beginner Mode is somewhat harder than Molten Mode that they treat Molten Mode as something "Beginner Mode" but better 😂 due to poor balancing. Sometimes the events are good, sometimes the events are kinda unfair to beat. My current issues with TDS is that how it lags to which I teleported way late than usual, maybe because of poor optimization... Only in TDX... We have great enemy concepts, tower concepts, and more to go! So far, TDX hasn't released any events so I can't give an opinion on events from TDX. The gameplay is also super fun, and I don't feel the whole lag mess in this game thanks to the better optimization. Anyways, both games are great!
Although this is a good comparison video, comparing things like tower amounts or map amounts is a little weird considering you're comparing a game that just released and a game thats been up for much longer. Also, like u said in the video balancing for tds is awful and some things in the game that have been unbalanced for many updates never got fixed, cosnidering the games scale it would be hard to balance everything theyve made in comparison to tdx's so far small roster.
It's true that tds Is way bigger and fixing all the issues will take forever, but they shoulden't have been broken in the first place or should have been fix LOOOOOOOOOONG ago. Beginer mode being the biggest example of this issue.
Could you re-do this comparison since tdx was quite knew at the time Also another thing about tdx is its more skill based than gind based basically what Im saying is you need some of the best towers to beat most modes in tds but someone got to the final wave in expert with ranger in tdx. So it played right you can get far with nearly nothing in tdx but you need alot to get far in tds.
So I noticed some things 1. Tds is removing mysteries and replacing them with breakers 2. The events are hard because the reward for the event is usually quite good (at times the event is made easier by the developers anyways.) 3. You are using golden mini in the clip of you killing the fallen king, which costs around 55,000 coins lmao. 4. Quite a lot of tds’ enemies are very detailed and nice to look at, also why does it matter if tdx looks more realistic?
you can literally win faster with ranger and minigunner which is much more cheaper than 55k coins the tds enemies are much more simpler except for bosses (ONLY) tds events need full servers and strategies

Lets be honest: Tds is just a better game overall with all of its special game modes and its variety of towers, etc. But if you think about it, these 2 games arent really comparable. The thing is TDX got it easy they learned from the mistakes of TDS as there owner maybe still is but was a TDS admin John Roblox there from the start an best friends with the owner of tds, therefore TDX is basically TDS but a newer improved version.
There are alot of cool tds enemies. However, there are also a lot of enemies that look basic. I also feel the proportions are off on the newer enemies, but that might just be me.

Personally I've played both games but I never managed to get into TDX, the problem I have with TDX is I feel like its progression system takes way too long. The longest mode in TDS for example is hardcore which lasts around 35-40 minutes, TDX intermediate mode already lasts about 30 minutes as well. In TDS the hardest tower to unlock takes about 10 hours if you use the most efficient method (Engineer), but in the TDX the hardest to get is the Warship, which requires you to get to level 225, that an average player would probably take months to get. Other than that both games are good in my opinion.
Alright alright -Intermediate takes 25 minutes -expert takes 35-40, exactly like TDS hardcore mode -Progression is almost the same speed -Warship is not really supposed to even be unlocked yet, its unbalanced but its here so if someone REALLY farms they can get it early, the required level will be lowered You can not like the game, but you cant say untrue things
this is just my opinion but tds has no strategy whatsoever. In tds, its "ok i will place minigunner YIPPEE I WON!!!!!!" but in tdx you have to use your brain and strategize. in tdx its like " ok i will place juggernaut but juggernaut doesnt have bullet stealth resistance so i can either get sniper or laser gunner for ability, laser gunner is better because it has bullet stealth resistance with also an ability. and now i will spam towers to bait the boss otherwise it wil stun my juggernauts." TDX just requires alot more brain power, which is why it is less popular than TDS.
Tbh as someone whose played both games quite a bit (tds im in mid 150s, tdx mid 50s) I think tdx is better as it has better balancing (as of right now), 2 upgrade paths, and weekly updates that can include a new tower or skins or just more content in general. Tds has gotten quite boring for me as being late game theres nothing to do besides events, and even then it just feels dry and soulless. Old tds was vastly better for balancing, simpler gameplay, less p2w content, etc but anyways tds just isn't fun for me (its an opinion i think tdx is better but i can see why tds is better for others)
I will say tds has a lot more content I just nearly completed it, If that makes sense. When it updates sometimes I’ll check it out, that mercenary base tower or whatever it was called (150 one) was really cool

I agree that tdx needs more strategy.. slightly. Your only taking into fact normal mode, molten mode, and fallen mode and not hardcore or polluted wasteland. Hardcore took me over 100 attempts finding the perfect loadout, perfect strategy etc. That was the hardest and most strategic thing i have ever done in a tower defense game. And polluted wasteland requires people to have strategy aswell, even if everyone has pretty good towers.
Pov the good ending to the 2nd tower defense war of Roblox: TDS falls off and becomes the new TB, Planet sells TB/Gets a real dev team, TDX becomes the new tower defense of roblox.

tds is better but not way better, i think its on opinions but not more things means the better. also events r supposed to be hard like it took me 3 days to get commando from the area 51 event, and ik for a fact that commando isnt coming back for a while bc of how hard it is. and also tdx is a copy of tds
in the variety section yes tds has more tower/maps/gamemods but the problem with them is the balancing. Because tds normal mode is harder than molten. Some tower like freezer are completly useless some map like wrecked battlefield is showned hard but it is ez. Compare to tdx were almost everything is balanced + in the gamplay section tdx requires more brain than tds (tds you can spam tower to win but tdx you have to farm place towers with different paths and change there targeting 24/7
I personally disagree with your statement that tds is easy and you can just spam everything to win, you see how hard the event maps is especially in surviving the early-mid game and thats why strategies are made. In late game, yes you do spam dps like minigun or accel everywhere to kill the boss, but isnt it the same as tdx? You spam your strongest unit to kill the boss in late game. You also have to farm and can change targetting in tds. But it doesnt mean that tds is harder than tdx, since we all know that tdx has bosses that can kill your troops/units.

remember that towers in tds cant see some flying zombie right infront of them despite them being on the same height level

I also think expert and elite modes are suppposed to be hard. It isn't called expert mode because it's easy.

There is a little detail I like on TDX. Everytime you win the tower units dance on Victory.

Camparing tower count of tds and tdx it feels like tdx chooses quality over quantity and the towers are balanced enough to where it feels like they serve their own unique purpose and not just a decent,better and best tower system like tds choosing quantity over quality since there are beginner towers intermediate towers and advanced towers (the only good towers you should buy) and thats it and also tdx will be introducing more towers and will be realeasing a railgunner tower at 8pm CST the same day as this comment is posted

I agree that tdx needs more strategy.. slightly. Your only taking into fact normal mode, molten mode, and fallen mode and not hardcore or polluted wasteland. Hardcore took me over 100 attempts finding the perfect loadout, perfect strategy etc. That was the hardest and most strategic thing i have ever done in a tower defense game. And polluted wasteland requires people to have strategy aswell, even if everyone has pretty good towers.
I think it’s too similar to tds and I’m not grinding a new game after all my effort in tds
One thing I’m mad at is the only reason tdx was made is because the owner of tdx said played tds having a idea and out of no where and over passes tds

I hadn't tries elite or expert mode yet when making this video. I got all my info of these modes from youtube and the tdx wiki. I could have misjudged the balancing.
I also think elite and expert modes are supposed to be hard.
tds is better but not way better, i think its on opinions but not more things means the better. also events r supposed to be hard like it took me 3 days to get commando from the area 51 event, and ik for a fact that commando isnt coming back for a while bc of how hard it is. and also tdx is a copy of tds

making a tower defense doesn't mean it's a "copy" of tds or any other td , except if it actually copies like tds did multiple times

in the variety section yes tds has more tower/maps/gamemods but the problem with them is the balancing. Because tds normal mode is harder than molten. Some tower like freezer are completly useless some map like wrecked battlefield is showned hard but it is ez. Compare to tdx were almost everything is balanced + in the gamplay section tdx requires more brain than tds (tds you can spam tower to win but tdx you have to farm place towers with different paths and change there targeting 24/7
I personally disagree with your statement that tds is easy and you can just spam everything to win, you see how hard the event maps is especially in surviving the early-mid game and thats why strategies are made. In late game, yes you do spam dps like minigun or accel everywhere to kill the boss, but isnt it the same as tdx? You spam your strongest unit to kill the boss in late game. You also have to farm and can change targetting in tds. But it doesnt mean that tds is harder than tdx, since we all know that tdx has bosses that can kill your troops/units.

Bro you need some laser gunners and some edj's and then in early game you need to micro targeting as hell in expert mode.
