It’s funny how obvious this is to everyone in comments. Im Mason the guy in the vid and I was oblivious for years. It was actually my brother talking to me one the phone one time and saying . “Our parents and upbringing were so fucked up, we could be in a horrible relationship and think it’s totally normal and nothings wrong, and just accept almost anything” and that was what actually sparked me reading a bunch of books and finally finding people like rich.

She told me she wasn't going to leave. I told her I would be calling the cops to facilitate her exit from my home. Stop giving these women free passes for horrible behavior.
We should congratulate that woman. She had 3 kids on her neck and still was able to find the guy who will give her another kid and take care of her. Good job, if an average woman would have this kind of skill then it would be game over for men.

I feel him. I've endured this on 2021. Just divorced a single mom in California back in August 2021. Lost everything due to the divorce, savings, 401k, and while thankfully no kids under my belt, I still have to pay her $3k in alimony a month for 5 years. Even worst, she is an immigrant and when I was a beta I gave her and her two daughters green cards. After bringing them to the US, her daughters became woke feminist teens (No surprise, it's California). Lucky I don't have to support them due to their age. I was getting disrespected every day coming home after a long day at work. Provided everything to them yet I was living a nightmare and of course her mother would always side with them instead of me even while her daughters were disrespectful to her as well. I was going into a severe depression and even suicidal thoughts. Called it quits and obviously she had everything prepared. literally two weeks after separating I got the family court papers and her asking for everything she didn't deserved. California Family Law Court its a men grinder. Men have no rights, prepare to lose everything. I'm starting to reconstruct my financial life. Completely changed my mentality to Alpha. Don't care about seeking women nor LTR. The divorce made me a way stronger man, I'm focusing on myself and building my empire. I'm no longer focusing on women nor taking them seriously.
Unfortunately this is usually what it takes for a man to completely change. The simps are still simps because they haven't experienced the BS yet on this level. The sooner/younger the better.

He needs some serious advice before he thinks about ending it and possibly months of work reorganizing himself, time with his child, severing accounts, house, etc.

Suddenly drop a $250k job (which is probably a business or self-practice) and get an $80k job, any half-ass divorce lawyer would argue he is doing that specifically to avoid this.

Divorced my wife in 2012, no kids, lost the house, two cars, half of a 401k and 1/3 of another pension.

Having been through a divorce, with two of my own children, I can sympathise with this guy. Don't judge his decisions. He's made a poor choice and it's gone badly wrong. You need a pretty ruthless lawyer in a situation like this. Listen to them and don't let emotional commitment to the mother or kids cloud your judgement, otherwise, you're likely to end up completely financially fxxked. Hope it goes well. Lift weights, eat well, stay close to friends and try and stay positive. This is likely to go on a while, but listen to me... you will come out of this, as bad as it seems now. You have the 1000 yard stare that every man has, facing divorce.

If they were acquired while he was married, it's now community property and she is entitled to half. That's why men should never marry, or marry LATE after they have already acquired all their assets before marriage. What you own prior to marriage is yours and not community property. Talking from experience.

I was raised never to marry nor be in a committed romantic relationship with a single mother (never married/divorced/widowed) and worse a woman older than I am. I have always find it strange when some men in their 20s/30s/40s marry single mothers to start a family (though in my circle they are an insignificant minority)
Shame, this gentleman didn’t have elderly men like a father, uncles and or grandfather in his life to guide and or advice him. This is a good lesson for young men who are dating single mothers.
You can take the loss brother. A spouse dies. A kid dies. You can lose all your wealth. Will you stop trying when it happens? Convince yourself these have happened and start over. Read Viktor Frankl's "Man's search for meaning" and see that a man can withstand almost anything.

Building, her business is in this building. Loosing 1/2 the real estate in the current economy might be much more difficult to recover from than in the past. I may just have to bite the bullet and live with the choices I made for my daughters sake. Plus with current economy, it seems like an awful time to be starting over.

I just dumped an LTR who kept disrespecting my lifestyle, my business, and only wanted me to adjust my time to her late working hours so I could take care of our son when she was working, while at the same time she did not want to take care of my daughter from a previous relationship. I believe it's too late to set boundaries, it will at best give him more time until the unavoidable. Better deal with this now once and for all, especially being a 30 year old chad having his finances in check, pay whatever he has to pay for his freedom and start again fresh and ready for the next best chapter of his life.
The nature of my business would make that extremely difficult. 1. I have a commercial building and her business is in the part of the building. 2. My fathers wife works for her business. 3. There’s a good chance that a separation and loosing half of the real estate would put the whole business in financial jealousy, I’m not sure I could recoup in current post pandemic climate in that regard. I have a degree in neuroscience, so if I lost 1/2 the real estate and that were to fail as a result I may just say screw it, and go into the neuroscience field.

This is textbook. She got pregnant by Chads and riding the carousel in her twenties. She needed a weak beta male that would stay around. She basically married you as a child care provider. An older single mother was your only choice because you had no other options. She never respected you. It’s hard to believe she hasn’t initiated divorce because women despise/hate weak men and are repulsed by them. If you initiate divorce this might even shock her into your frame. The only thing that gives that gives her a shred of respect and keeps her around is that you make more money than her. If you do become single again being in shape and making that money-if you learn frame you will be killing it with women. Do the divorce research as Rich always says. Don’t go into court without the power of knowledge.

It’s complicated. I was going downhill for years with her. And actually felt she actively worked against me when I tryed to change for the better. Probably out of fear and insecurity. It was me hitting rock bottom and decided to embark on a journey of reading 1000 books that changed me. 4 years later after reading 3-4 books a week for years I was a completely different person.
What ever it takes get out dude. It's going to cost you. But the sooner you get out the sooner you'll have more time to recuperate. You'll be broke for a while but you'll have peace of mind and in a few years you'll bounce right back
