This a hugely reliable vehicle. I own this exact model. It easily tops 100 mph on the higway, sustained, going Houston-Dallas. Bought it used and hasn't required any job, except regular oil changes.
If it's black and has an aftermarket stereo in it it could be my old one. Bought it new in 98 and traded it in 2 years later for a Maxima for more horsepower
My 99 Altima always sits at about 750rpm at idle... it runs good but when I'm sitting at a stoplight the rpms fluctuate from about 500-750 a bit concerning but... It still runs great
Dorm you're still putting a load on the motor when your stopped at a stop light it's when you take the transmission load off the motor by putting park or neutral you'll see it go back up in rpms
