The Flesh that hates and SCP-914: This story illustrates more than any other example, how painfully obvious it is (at least some) these SCP stories are written by incredibly naive civilians of a mundane background; A bunch of "researchers", first and worst of all, huddled around their experiment in the middle of the test chamber akin to a smoke break pow-wow that make a backyard scientist look like a world class pro; All wearing hazmat suits like that would somehow protect them from violent, physically destructive so, resulting test subjects, with the only obstruction being 2 security guards (who aren't even wearing hazmat suits themselves, thus becoming security liabilities themselves, further irony). That's just the basic surface level issues, so very painful to acknowledge these details and not... comment, on the underbaked and unintuitive insight of the content thus far; The further more specific laughable part is specific to that of the scientist's or researcher's process (amplified in crude execution by the above issues), how they are just testing with a try #5, 4 3 2 1... etc. of testing, with no collection of more intricate data or prediction models or any sort of understanding at all, may as well be a bunch of middle school kids role-playing and just trying the different settings on a washing machine to see what sounds each one makes, is metaphor that pops into my head in regards to the intelligence level of the "World class cherry picked researchers" of the SCP. (look, I know on the intergalactic scale humans are bumbling idiots, but this is just depressing levels of portrayal, even imo.) Hopefully this is not a key writer in the core baseline SCP content/stories, as I'd say whoever wrote this is more suited for a sci-fi inspired Friday the 13th setting/genre, rather than a Quasi-Militant Corporate/Government paranormal genre content.

Hopefully this is not a key writer in the core baseline SCP content/stories, as I'd say whoever wrote this is more suited for a sci-fi inspired Friday the 13th setting/genre, rather than a Quasi-Militant Corporate/Government paranormal genre content.
Those repeated screams and other sound effects are heavily annoying. I want to hear a story, not a soundboard beeing smashed repeatedly.
