She explained that perfectly lol it is EXACTLY how it feels. I had back labor and (TMI) I literally shit probably around 50 times while I was in labor. It completely emptied my bowels lol I pushed out my 8lb 6oz 22.5inch princess in 8 pushes and i think it was because of all the pushing I did while going to the bathroom all damn day lol I was a pushing machine by the time it came to pushing her out!
The story telling capability Lisa has makes this so entertaining to watch, even for a male who will never experience this. watched the whole 33 mins and i wish you and the baby the best!
Christina and Lisa, I salute you guys! Women are this powerful! You are the best parents to your kids and I know that they will grow up and be the best people. Also, Kath goodluck!
Some people have tough pregnancies and an easy delivery, some people have easy pregnancies and tough deliveries! Or all tough/all easy. You never know what will happen. Thank you for sharing your story! I think it’s SUPER important to talk about how the bond between mother and child can take a little time! And that’s okay. It doesn’t make the love less, you’re just in survival mode or you have to get to know each other a little.
I had a kind of similar experience with the birth of my son. Went in for an induction bc he was a huge baby, epidural ran out TWICE, contractions almost killed me (not literally), and then had to go for a C-section. Hearing someone else have a similar experience has helped me heal from the negative emotions I had during that whole time. My baby is healthy (and chunky!), and I wouldn’t have wanted him to come into this world any other way. Congratulations Lisa! You are an amazing mama and your daughter is absolutely adorable
I am an ob/gyn and have given birth myself twice and I feel like this was the most accurate birth story ever! All the ups and downs and just surrendering to what's to come... Just so accurate and so relatable!
“Coulda fooled me. Had no clue that she was in or out. Can’t tell.” LOL! It's so true. 4x c-section mama of huge babies here and I can confirm much of this is typical, including the bitterness! Repeat c-sections without laboring are a heck of a lot easier though, so I hope your next experience is more pleasant.
Lisa I love how you are describing this! So full of life! I had gestational diabetes in my last pregnancy and was high risk for both of my pregnancies and had 2 c sections (1 emergency and 1 planned). Thanks for shedding light on how natural birth is not always possible and taking care of yourself and your baby are the most important.
I LOVE Lisa’s storytelling style. Also, I love how much she loved the pain killers and spinal block. I have two sisters and one had two natural births and the other has two cesareans, each has two healthy happy baby boys. You do what’s best for you and the baby.
Dear Cimorelli, This ones for Lisa. You are truly a gem among the dull rocks that fill this world. You are so unique and so beautiful. You are strong, bold, and caring and I wish you the very best with little Lily! Sincerely, your BIGGEST FAN, Faith❤️
Awww I went from laughing my butt off to the verge of tears to feeling so happy. I can only imagine what it was like for you and Chad. I am so so happy for y'all!! Sending so much love and hugs
I really really appreciate you girls being so honest about your birth experiences, it makes me feel a little more prepared to be honest lol instead of thinking its just going to be a perfect planned experience. Both of your experiences were so traumatic, but you girls are so incredibly strong. I hope i stay as strong as you ❤️
This is how I feel about them sharing their experiences as well. So grateful for their honesty in everything they talk about and I to hope Ill be able to be strong
I can’t wait for this!! Even though it hasn’t premiered yet, I already know Lisa is so strong to have gone through this (though all of this sisters are strong). I hope Kath’s delivery goes well when it happens!
Yes! No one should tell anyone what they should or should not do during their labor. I've had three babies, three way different births. But at the end of the day, three healthy babies. Each mama needs to do what's best for her and her baby.
I had a similar experience with my first baby. Labored for about 27 hours. Spent around 3 of them pushing. Failed vacuum assist. I didn’t have an epidural, so when I got the spinal block it was the most relief I’ve ever felt. Congrats mama. You’re a warrior.
Thank you Lisa for sharing your story. My daughter Korbyn is 24 weeks pregnant and hearing your birth story was encouraging. Congratulations on your precious baby girl 💗
For my first, my epidural wore off. For my second, they couldn’t give me an epidural because they were stuck in an emergency c-section. Almost died with my first. Fun times…man you can’t go off of other people’s experience because our bodies are all different!! Glad you made it through! Love this video!!
Lisa Cimorelli, a great mom (I am already sure of that), fantastic singer and songwriter, and one of the best storytellers that have ever lived on earth. I could listen to you for hours Lisa, whether you’re singing or speaking. Thank you for this video.
You did exactly what you should’ve done. You’re the mom, you made the very best decision you could’ve ever made. Yours and babies health and safety is number one. Proud of you momma bear.
Yay! I’m so glad Lisa’s back. Hope you’re doing well! I’m praying Katherine’s delivery goes well too. Christina- you’re also such a great mom to Barrett and I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future. Lauren and Amy, thanks for your goofiness and joy you bring to the band, keep on being you 💕
This was by far the best birth story ever! Everyone else is all “unicorns and rainbows” and she was super real and hilarious. Also, next time you’re pregnant starting taking Magnesium Glycinate a week or 2 before birth, get up to like 3 capsules a day, and that’ll help prevent constipation without any of the stomach cramping and pain that come with laxatives. It’s so gentle, but also works really well. Stool softeners do nothing.
This was a great story for us to hear right now. We are expecting a baby in March! Thank you for giving your story but also keeping it unbiased as well! It means a lot to hear about the process beforehand with expectations properly set for when we get to that point! You're amazing Lisa!
I love Lisa so much ! Her smile and personality has always put me in the best mood every cimorelli video I’ve watched throughout the years. She’s going to be such a fun mom 😭❤️
I throughly enjoyed every second of this video. This is entertainment! So sorry you had to go through it all, Lisa, but you are such an awesome story teller. I cringed, laughed, and felt every other emotion you described. So happy you and baby are doing well! Thanks for telling those of us who haven’t gone through it yet the truth!
Thank you so much for being open about your experience with your csection. The part of not having emotion when your baby was born and like not crying. I have felt guilty cause I have never had someone who had such a similar story to mine!
Sis is hiiiilariousss!! “A week after giving birth, I went into labor again….WITH A GIANT TURD. It was horrifying!!” When I tell you i screamed with laughter at 2am in my dorm 🤣🤣
This video is the most helpful. I was always really scared of C-sections because my mom almost died when I was born and had a 20 day recovery at the hospital. Surely we have to make the best choices for ourselves when the moment comes. Anything come happen and as Lisa said we just don't know yet and noone does either. Best of luck to everyone out there going through this. You got this!!!!
I'm so happy that you're back, I missed you so much. I'm sorry to hear that your birth experience was very bad for you, but I feel like your way of dealing with it is very great. Congratulations on your daughter, she is really cute❤️
Congratulations!!! I can relate! had an emergency C-section with my first baby due to his heart rate dropping to 40. I felt the same way, I was so exhausted at that point I couldn’t feel excited once he was out. However, I just had baby number two at the end of July and we did a planned csection this time around and it was the best thing ever! I wasn’t (that) exhausted and I was able to be excited
Getting c-section is my worse fear and I’m not even pregnant yet. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. You are like couple years older cousins who gives great advice to me, you helped me so much. I’m so happy you and your baby are healthy. Nowhere near having a baby but glad to have listened to an honest feedback on birth which like Kath said regarding pregnancy, is glamorized and not talked about enough or is whitewashed! So happy that Lisa is back! ✨ Wish Kath a safe delivery ❤️
What an amazing birth story. Great to hear the range of your emotions and being honest. Your mom must have been a champ going through all of those births with you guys. Have you and your siblings heard each and every one of your birth stories?

I give birth in 1-2 weeks 😳 this is such like a clear and honest experience. I needed this reality check. Like anything can happen. You are so strong!!!!!!
I think the most important advice I've heard from women giving birth is : nothing is going to happen as you've planned it! Do not expect a perfect experience, you'll just be disappointed if it's not like you've imagined, even though you're doing something extraordinary. Just let it happen and what will happen, will happen. Good luck to you and your baby! ❤️
This is just in time because tomorrow’s your birthday, Lisa!! (And Nick’s too!) I celebrate YOU, your life, your existence! You are indeed a warrior momma, Lise!! I LOVE YOUUUU 🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yayyyyyyyy I'm so excited that Lisa is back. I missed her voice, I missed her jokes because every time she says them I can't help but laugh. I'm so happy for you Lisa that you have a baby and I hope she is doing well.

I really think this is going to help so many women!! I was blindsided by so many things too! I totally forgot about the constipation part. That was so entertaining to watch too. Congrats!
Gonna have to wait until this afternoon to watch but glad mommy and baby are well! Lily is a cutie pie and a lucky girl to be born into your family! Congrats to all! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I had an induction turned emergency c-section. My daughter’s heart rate went down to 52 bpm. It was so scary and everything happened so fast! We are both fabulous now, she’s 4 and thriving!
My husband and I also lived with another couple who had her baby in January and I had mine in March. She said it was so easy her whole labor and delivery took 45 minutes so it really is DIFFERENT for everyone. 🤷🏼♀️
I missed her so much please never leave Lisa, this is the first time I'm watching a cimorelli video in 2 months, it just seems so much different without her even though the girls are doing great. Anyways I love you all
I can’t stop thinking about what it would be like to have Lisa as a mom
It would be funnnnnn🥳
I just know Lisa’s the fun parent
lisa would take you to a drake concert XD
