SD Valis officially counts as Valis 2 for the genesis, but It's not the Valis game I would have wanted as a Genesis fan. I'd rather take a definitively made version of Valis 2 with all the best qualities.
I prefer this version over the X68000 any day. That one was just too dark, and the villain there was portrayed as a total asshole instead of having some sympathetic traits here.
Though Valis II is the weakest of ther original 4 games, at least the voice acting is quite strong in the Japanese version. But to be fair, all 4 games had wonderful VA in the Japanese versions due to using pro voice actors for the speaking roles.

The fact that this series never got a proper remaster is a crime in itself.
So it begins.. For about 20 years I've had this name, because this is the series I adore. 3 was the best of it. It is a shame that 4 was kind of bad.
Hirotaka Suzuoki as megnas sounds like Takaya Kuroda.
I feel like the cancelled CD-ROM Super Famicom adapter would have games like this.
