9:55 and other times, are there cap plugs to close the ends of the tubes? It would tighten up the appearance, and discourage those darned militarized red wasps from building nests inside the tubes.
I'm kind of torn. I really like the looks and much of the control design of the Aerolite 103, but is seems there is only one currently produced engine (Hirth 33) that keeps it FAR 103 compliant. (Please correct me if I'm in error.) On the flip side, the Kolb Firefly scores points on the fast fold wings, but again, what are the engine options to keep it 103 legal? The FAA really needs to do away with the seemingly arbitrary 254 lb. limit and just call it an even 300 lbs. so other engines become more viable for the category. I realize this is "Ultra-lite" but who doesn't like more power, especially out west where density altitude can be a real issue.
How do you tell the year of manufacture? I am buying one andno one seems to know. Excellent condition. Has a 503 rotax. Oil inj. Elec. Start. Power brakes. Thanks
The support tube for the horizontal, is that horizontal tube threaded??? Or ho do you put the nut on the back side of it, if it’s covered on the back side of the tube?
why the kit price is so high , you need to keep price low to attract more people and i do not think the production cost is that much
Enjoyed it very much, hope to get one some day. Thanks for sharing.
