The composer is Mark Mancina, the same of Speed and Twister, that's why the music sounds very similar. From Michael Bay from the 90s, highly recommended: The Rock and Armageddon, 2 of his most successful movies.
You’ve gotta watch Bad Boys II. You’re going to love it. If Michael Bay were a drug, Bad Boys 2 would be the main ingredient. It’s more insane Bay action, more comedic, more chemistry between Smith and Lawrence, and it’s just all the best qualities of a Bay film (which usually turns off a lot of people but I cant imagine another Bay film that synthesizes all his sensibilities.
"You know you drive almost slow enough to drive Miss Daisy." Fun Fact: Theatrical directorial debut of Michael Bay. Fun Fact: After the studio refused to fund the final action sequence, Michael Bay paid the studio $25,000 to shoot the scene. New Beginning Fact: The opening scene where Mike and Marcus are held up by two carjackers was shot in Los Angeles weeks after principal photography had been completed. Columbia and Michael Bay wanted a better, more comedic introduction to the two lead characters than what was filmed. Forget The Script Fact: Director Michael Bay didn't like the script and often engaged Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in discussions about how the dialogue and scene could be improved. He often allowed them to improvise while the cameras were rolling. He secretly told Will to call Lawrence a bitch before the car scene. The whole "two bitches in the sea" was improvised, as was Martin's comment when Téa Leoni called him gay.
It was fun rewatching this with you. Hope you react to the rest of the series. Critically, the 3rd movie Bad Boys for Life is considered the best one, which I agree with. It’s actually the only one with a “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Also, with the movie Twisters coming out next month, I hope we can get a reaction to the original Twister if you haven’t seen it before.
@@LJExpedition The reviews say otherwise. Even Dan agrees (I’ve already seen his reaction to Bad Boys for Life). Higher stakes & a more personal story = better film.
@@EvanRC91 the reviews don’t say that though.. you’re actually incorrect. You can argue the story is potentially better and has more meaning, sure. But the comedy and connection between Smith and Lawrence just wasn’t as good as previous. He might like the 3rd better but that is not the normal my friend. IMDb and every other reactor says so.
Dese already reacts to the second movie as well, it has a much bigger budget and great top-notch action scenes. Bad Boys 1 was Michael Bay's first movie, and he didn't get a lot of money for being a rookie and a first timer, in fact the studio made life difficult for Bay with the budget and he had a hard time. Several years later in 2002, 2003 when the second one was made, Bay was already famous and was synonymous of successful Blockbusters, there if they gave him all the money he needed for the sequel and you can see every dollar spent, that's why I recommend it, it is much better.
Back when everybody loves Will Smith… this is like a guilty pleasure, it’s hilarious and like you, I looove big explosions 🤣 and yes, watch the rest of Lethal Weapon movies
Not Bad For Michael Bay's Directorial Debut, there are few directors that get it right the first time, Bay did it right. The rest of his Filmography is "Meh" at best.
40:07 fun fact Michael Bay paid his own money just to shoot that scene of the guy blowing up out of the plane cause they had no money to do it and in Michael's words the line producer on the movie was a complete ass with no faith in the movie and being Bay's first movie he looked down on him Bay felt that was an essential badass moment were the audience claps and he was 💯 right money well spent
You have to lighten up to watch Martin and Will do their thing in these movies. They are comedic actors doing an action movie. I hope u watch it a second time because you were talking theu a few more popular lines and memed scenes. You'll love BB2, Im sure.
Technically reactors watch everything a second time when they edit. They also watch with headphones so even if it seems like they miss something they’re not really missing anything bc the movie is very loud in their ears.
I don't believe I missed anything. If you feel like I did, feel free to point it out. Also, just a few points to keep in mind... - My headphones are much louder than my voice so my talking will never be louder than my voice. - Realistically, I probably only talked less than 20% of the movie, it's just that the TH-cam edit will include most of the times I talk. If you were to watch the Full Uncut, I am definitely quiet for most of the time. - Reaction videos require me to talk. If I don't, then it's not really a reaction video because you won't be able to hear my live thoughts, and also, the video is more likely to get copyrighted if I am not talking because TH-cam won't see me as truly transforming the content. I appreciate the constructive criticism, to be honest I've had your same comment said on many of my reactions and I see it on other reaction channels too, but a lot of it is either misinformed or just not fully understanding how reaction videos need to be in order for them to work. Which is totally fine, I just think it's important to point these things out.
I hope you do the rest, 2 is my favorite but I love them all....

One of my favorite franchises. All of them are so damn good

Love the first 2. A lot of fun. Thought the 3rd one was meh. Too serious. Just felt like the 3rd one had been made too late personally
