    Oh I KNOW that feeling... getting bogged at 6am trying to start the waters and check the fences is a PITA... Espescially when it's already 32C and rising aye. That soil is just so hard in the Northern half of the country that the water just pools up and the ground get's that polished slick as glass consistency. SO different from the soil/terrain here in the Pacific NW US where I'm from.
    Beautiful trucks and great show guys, Subscribed.

      there both Toyota Landcruisers
      the one with the trailer is a 79 series and the other one is a 200 series but that one is more commonly seen as a wagon rather than a ute.
      And yes the are both tough and reliable but like all cars they do have there limits.

    Interesting comment about not having front lockers engaged whilst winching. Have done a lot of 4WDing over the years & the first time I have heard of this issue. Having front & rear lockers on my Patrol, I better check out this for my own peace of mind.

      i think it was to do with the angle of the winch direction and the fact he was turning the wheels as diff locks are designed to drive straight, but with the extra weight that could be the bigger issue with extra pressure on the diffs

      4.5L V8 Twin-turbo Diesel, Heavy loads, big boats/caravans, touring, luxury - 200 Series. 4.5L V8 Turbo Diesel, Hardcore 4WDing, very remote and secluded destinations, simplicity and reliability - 70 Series

    Is there a law against better tires down there? We run minimum 315\75s or 12.5 x 35 inches with lower gears up here in California, those tiny stockers are doing it in hard mode for ya.

    • @GrimReaper-ly8zk
      @GrimReaper-ly8zk 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      10% larger than factory.
      Otherwise it all needs to be certified by an engineer. Stronger axles, suspension, brakes. Rules vary by state.
      Pretty hard to get away with 35s on the jeep.
      Lockers and a winch is about it.
      3 inches of lift.
      So you could run 2 inches suspension and 2inches on the tyres

    • @geraldhenrickson7472
      @geraldhenrickson7472 5 ปีที่แล้ว
