Nicely done brother as always. Interesting fact about Angostura Bitters. When it was first released in the 19th century, the label the company ordered for thier bottles was too big. Nevertheless they still released it. And now since then it has been part of thier trademark. 👍😎

      Paul Goodwin yesss!
I am a big fan of that product.
Didn’t want to go much into details since quiet few videos online about their history. They are nicely passionately done by angostura reps 👍😊
We wanted to dive into cocktails since still a lot of people don’t know where to use Angostura Bitters besides old-fashioned and Manhattan cocktail 😉

I'm told a dash of bitters in sparkling water is a good hangover drink to help settle the stomach.
It may or may not be placebo with the bitters but the carbonation makes sense to get the water from your stomach and to the next stage for absorption quicker so you rehydrate faster, same as how sparkling wine kicks in quicker than still.

Try the Last Word cocktail. Equal parts Gin, Green Charteuse, Maraschino Liqueur and Lime Juice. 0.75:0.75:0.75.0.75oz ratio should do it. Or even try the Bijou? Get involved and give it a try.

I'd say Peychaud's as it's also a gentian based one but it's not quite the same thing. It's as good as Angostura but it has more of an anise aroma. And I'm not sure it's easier to find.
It even makes a fantastic combo with Angostura's by the way, and it's a good idea by Vlad to make his version of the Sazerac have both of them which is quite uncommon (as Sazerac is traditionally or marketingly made with Peychaud's as far as I know) but interesting since the combo is used in some of the best Louisiana cocktails like the fantastic Vieux Carré.
I'd still say, go for Angostura as it is the most common (even if I have a hard time finding some in France for instance, and this is quite ironic since it might be the only country in the world maybe with Italy, to have some widely produced gentian liquors like Suze), super versatile, and it really does wonders to some cocktails. I crave it and I try to experiment a lot with it since it's bitterness seems to add some thirst quenching properties to your drink.
