Steam versions of Kingdom Hearts 3 were given an update that added optimization files for the Steam Deck that in turn broke this as well as many other mods. I have also added an update file created by Aproydtix that makes C-Mod+ compatible with the mod loader. 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌: First make sure you have the most updated version of C-Mod+, then go to this link and download the "Steam Update Startup Crash Fix" mod that was created by Willow. www.nexusmods.com/kingdomhearts3/mods/2201?tab=files&file_id=5708 Upon downloading the file go to your pak folder and drag the file in. The path should be: ...\steamapps\common\KINGDOM HEARTS III\KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content\Paks This modded file is a combination of all the newly added pak files they developers added to optimize the game for the Steam Deck. After placing it in the pak folder, delete all of the files that contain the _P suffix and your game should be working fine. If you are still running into any issues please look at the instructions on the mod page itself. 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐃 𝐋𝐎𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑: There has now been a updated fix for this. Hey, it seems like the zip file is somehow corrupted, I can't extract it and the file size is shorter compared to the one in nexus, tried in different browsers but got the same result, I am not sure if this is a problem on your end or if its something with Nexus
@@CriticPerfect Thanks, it is no longer corrupted but I found another roadblock, I use the modloader and I noticed that I keep getting crashes after trying to load a save, this happens after I reach the point of inserting the CmodMenu command in the Modloader menu and this causes the game to crash, when I boot it up again it shows the golden notch on the main menu but crashes during the loading screen with the message "LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown [Line177] Unexpected concurency while adding new object". I made sure both the zC-Mod-Menu+ and the C-Mod_ModLoader are on the ~mods folder, I also tried without the C-Mod_ModLoader file but that just results in no notch, so I don't really know what is causing this since I even did the previous instruction with the Steam updat startup crash fix.
So I keep getting a fatal error every time I put cmod into the mods folder and boot up the game so I don't know if that's a bug or steam just breaking every time I put it the mods folder idk but steam verification broke the game and modding support for steam deck so it worked before the verification but now it just doesn't work anymore I even put the fix in the .pak folder and it still doesn't work. Don’t have a gaming PC but just wanted to say this is phenomenal work. So much attention paid to the GUI too. Excellent capabilities and awesome graphic design. You did good. You did real good
This is beyond amazing. AMAZING job!!!!! I can only imagine that in the future, someone can combine your mod with another and create custom quests or maps. Imagine bringing back maps or even characters from previous KHs! Or a multiplayer arena =O. Seeing you achieve this, makes me think anything is possible👏👏👏

Kingdom Hearts 3 breaking on a Loading Screen when BGM is turned off....is kinda fitting lmao. You can mod the most crazy stuff in it, but dont you dare touch something insignificant as the Background Music in the Loading Screen then all hell breaks loose.
As I noticed others mentioning it too, I also had the initial problem with the game crashing on startup after installing C-Mod+, but I've been able to find a fix for it. Don't know about users on Epic, but on Steam, since the last update of the game, there are about 70 new files added to the Paks folder that all end with "_0_p". These are the files that break the mod and crashes the game on startup ..... so you either have to delete the files, or (like me) make a backup folder to store them in separately from the Paks folder, just in case. Once that is done, the mod will load on startup without problem! HOWEVER, I've encountered a new issue. After that initial success, C-Mod+ did work for me alongside other mods too, like the Coliseum mod, as well as a few other retexture mods that I use, no problem. But for some reason, without any further mods to the game, when I tried to load the game in any area / location in any world, I now get the "fatal crash" error that instantly crashes the game. To be exact ... the crash happens on the loading screen after about 3-4 seconds. I've tried to finagle my way around it, and the only thing that works is loading the game unto the world / galaxy maps, as the loading time for these are almost instant (1-2 seconds), and it also works fine if you use the Room Loader to go to any of the small areas that aren't from the base game, like the Old Mansion computer room, Radiant Garden, Dark World, Scala etc., as these load very quickly. But any base game locations with more than 4-5+ seconds to load now crashes the game for me. EDIT: THANKFULLY .... the new mod called Steam Update Startup Crash Fix, recently uploaded by Lotruees, truly does fix the crash issues. Just follow the simple description of the installation process, and add the mod file into the Paks folder, and you're set!

The upgrade looks incredible though I have a huge question. When I played the previous version of Cmod, I've always been curious about this error for years, Line 177 "Unexpected Concurrency while adding new object.". It keeps happening occasionally at times when playing the logic version of the Cmod menu back then. The only thing I know about that error is that some base game effects tend to be missing like the lanturns in the reapers fight in Corona. Is that fixed? I'm just curious.
Been wanting to use the hearts as one music for Roxas' data fight mod. Is there a way to change the music for the data bosses? Been trying to change but nothing happens when I try changing the music in limit cut.
Hey does this fix the playable kh3 riku in data battles. Because in the original c mod menu. Kh3 riku if you played as him it would skip the intro unlike other characters and jump in automatically into combat. Also another issue was sora would not be able to use some buttons like X of the shortcut menu.

hey mods do work on an external SSD, if you were using Steam then there was an issues that was recently fixed. Please just update the mod and follow the steam instructions.
For some reason when I downloaded and launched it and did everything to install mods, after the credits it would only be a black screen for awhile and would never pop up with the red loading screen, nothing worked with the c-mod modloader when I tried with it and without it. Can you please explain to me why it isn't working? I waited for about 10 minutes and nothing popped up saying it loaded in

i plan to do minor updates but nothing that will change the fundamentals that you see in this video, when it comes to multiplayer there is actually already a mod that does a local multiplayer! you should check it out

When you move to areas you normally can’t move to, how do you go back to the original map you were in? Like.. turn the c-mod off and return to normal… Everytime I visit a place, I get stuck there and can’t seem to return..

After installing the mod my game gets stuck before it reads the save data I've taken out the mod and the game loads perfectly after that. Any help would be appreciated.
I seem to get that 177 error whenever I try to use it but can't seem to figure out why. I saw someone else say it was certain keyblades so I removed the mod and switched to base game keyblades to see if that fixes it but now it crashes even quicker now. Not sure what I could do to get it to work because your tutorial seems so seamless
hi i want to know how does kh1 sora work in all cases. the position's i want to know most are what happens if he's in battle. i know he doesn't have attack animation's but i don't know if he can still hit but it's just invisible or if he just cant hurt at all. i also want to know what the icon art look's like when he gets hurt and low on health. i hope you can answer these question's for me
KH1 Sora is very limited in what he can do, basically all he has the capability of doing is running around. If you install a mod that goes over him thats a different story
I did unlock all keyblades and i try to equip the Ultima Weapon, OathKeeper, or Oblivion it crashes my game but Save the Queen and King+ work fine for Donald and Goofy
I put the pak file in the correct folder and did everything right but the gold notch thing isn't showing up on the main menu or in game why is it not showing up ?
The only two reasons I can think of are you either have other mods conflicting with C-Mod+ or you may have installed in incorrectly. Please just double check to see you installed it and placed it in the right spot one more time please.
@@CriticPerfect I put it in the Paks folder of KH3 so I didn't do it incorrectly I was paying attention to the steps but it still won't show so I'm not certain whats going on.
@@CriticPerfect i am having this exact issue also, have checked and re-installed the c-mod pak into paks folders many times, removed all other mods one at a time, and still nothing shows up :( does the simba summon still work to activate?
@@awi3483 if it’s not showing up then it was either not installed properly or there is a conflicting mod, as of now the only conflicting mod is the mod loader. just double check everything and let me know if it’s still not working
This crashed when I clicked on KH3 Riku in the Data Battle Party Selector. `Unexpected concurency while adding new object`. I think it's not compatible with mods that replace those original characters, I was using Luigi's Axel/Lea mod at the time.
Advice: If you cant seem to use the menu, dont put your mod in a new folder called mods, just chuck the folder in the zip file directly into the pak folder, nothing else.
EDIT: I GOT IT WORKING! :) I don't know why lol but I moved the PARTY REHAUL PAK out of the "MODS" folder and up into the PAKS folder and now it's working! :D I left CMOD MENU in the MODS folder. I guess you have to separate them or something to register them? I got it installed but even with PARTY REHAUL AI they're kinda useless lol? :( They just stand around and do nothing unless I kite enemies within like 5 feet of them? Please help?! They also don't follow me like in your video!
Ah, it seemed to have worked, but I'm getting a fatal error when trying to load into the game after the title screen on Steam Deck. That said, the menu itself did show up and could be interacted with

yeah that issue is completely fixed since this doesn’t used the same method as the logic mod method at all

Is it possible to try this on steam deck i got the CMod Plus working but couldn't get KH2 Sora and his drive Forms
yes it would work, but I cant promise full functionality since the steam deck uses a touch screen as its mouse for kh3

Steam yes, steam deck is maybe but is 99% a no since you cant use a keyboard/mouse with it most of the time

hi i want to know how does kh1 sora work in all cases. the position's i want to know most are what happens if he's in battle. i know he doesn't have attack animation's but i don't know if he can still hit but it's just invisible or if he just cant hurt at all. i also want to know what the icon art look's like when he gets hurt and low on health. i hope you can answer these question's for me
KH1 Sora is very limited in what he can do, basically all he has the capability of doing is running around. If you install a mod that goes over him thats a different story

@@Gamecon2008 yeah but he doesn’t have the different icons if that’s what you’re wondering, health goes down but he just keeps smiling

I did unlock all keyblades and i try to equip the Ultima Weapon, OathKeeper, or Oblivion it crashes my game but Save the Queen and King+ work fine for Donald and Goofy

thing isn't showing up on the main menu or in game why is it not showing up ?
The only two reasons I can think of are you either have other mods conflicting with C-Mod+ or you may have installed in incorrectly. Please just double check to see you installed it and placed it in the right spot one more time please.
@@CriticPerfect I put it in the Paks folder of KH3 so I didn't do it incorrectly I was paying attention to the steps but it still won't show so I'm not certain whats going on.

@@CriticPerfect i am having this exact issue also, have checked and re-installed the c-mod pak into paks folders many times, removed all other mods one at a time, and still nothing shows up :(
does the simba summon still work to activate?
@@awi3483 if it’s not showing up then it was either not installed properly or there is a conflicting mod, as of now the only conflicting mod is the mod loader. just double check everything and let me know if it’s still not working

I've installed everything correctly through steam but I dont see the golden notch. Not sure why it isn't working.
Can you first double check you installed in correctly and then open the game like two or three times to see if it shows up.
This crashed when I clicked on KH3 Riku in the Data Battle Party Selector. `Unexpected concurency while adding new object`. I think it's not compatible with mods that replace those original characters, I was using Luigi's Axel/Lea mod at the time.
try using it without the other mod installed, if it doesn’t crash then the two mods are conflicting

Advice: If you cant seem to use the menu, dont put your mod in a new folder called mods, just chuck the folder in the zip file directly into the pak folder, nothing else.

EDIT: I GOT IT WORKING! :) I don't know why lol but I moved the PARTY REHAUL PAK out of the "MODS" folder and up into the PAKS folder and now it's working! :D I left CMOD MENU in the MODS folder. I guess you have to separate them or something to register them?
I got it installed but even with PARTY REHAUL AI they're kinda useless lol? :( They just stand around and do nothing unless I kite enemies within like 5 feet of them? Please help?! They also don't follow me like in your video!

Ah, it seemed to have worked, but I'm getting a fatal error when trying to load into the game after the title screen on Steam Deck. That said, the menu itself did show up and could be interacted with

@Eichsterd123 Yea, I tried that. I added the Keyblade and removed the mod, and I got to keep it.

no it’ll freeze because they freeze anything except their own version of ui that’s separate and it’s own thing

If you are using the steam version there was an issue that was fixed. Just make sure you install the proper mods.

Hi! Your cursor should be visible, try and click onto the game in the middle of the screen first and then try to select something on the menu.
@@CriticPerfect That's right, the cursor can be seen. I still can't select anything. When I press "K" the menu opens. Otherwise I can't select anything
