I am getting so maaaaaaany requests and it’s pretty shocking because I thought “Gento” was my first and last reaction on sb19 but the fact that they are intriguing and there are a lot of song requests I feel like this is going to be a looong journey. Better have an SB19 playlist and be entertained by the different music genres they dish out. You should also watch their live performances because if there’s any pop band out there that can slay it live, you are listening to one. I kid you not!😊
Another English song is WYAT (Where You At.) Try the official MV first. After that I would try a few ballads. There are two that are performed live on the Wish USA bus, called MaPa, a tribute to their parents and Liham, a letter to their fans. Both sung in Tagalog, a very poetic language and both performances have English subs. These guys perform many different genres!

The concept of Gento can be difficult to grasp for an international fan if you haven’t gone down their rabbit hole and know their story especially as it has many puns and humour expressing the way of life intrinsic to Filipinos but as the mv shows they are digging in a gold mine working their butts of to fight for success and be the best at their craft from which many don’t make it like literal miners looking for gold. Their mvs are always witty but full of meaning like the ending scene looks random aliens looking on but in fact it’s suggestion people alien to their music stumbling on them and seeing their gold of potential and then seeing the other gold nuggets of other great Filipino artists. But if you’re not into rap perhaps Gento is not your thing but they different genres in their discography especially their ballads are superb. This is definitely a bop and reminds me of their song WYAT but again as always their mvs are full of symbolism. The concept is in a swimming pool and they are underwater. It evokes swimming where there’s no singing and very synchronised movements,the correlation between the moon and water thus the white ,silver,greys. Justin the youngest member and the creative director said in their bts vlog that he wanted to create weird look and quirky dance moves to reflect how your mind works when you fall in love and nothing seems right in your world and you do the weirdest things because you’re in love. But trying to keep in control Yet the moves are such that it shows a celebration of the ecstatic feeling experienced when you find the one. Some are suggesting that the circle is like an egg and when they bop up and down is the inception of ,that which invariably happens when you do what you do under the moon light😂😂. SB19 loves to hear peoples views of their music. They love when fans dissect,analyse and come up with their interpretations of their lyrics and mvs. Thank you again for watching them.

This is their first international collaboration where PABLO (their leader) did not take part in any of the lyric writing and production. SB19 is a very hands on and self-produced group; they also own their own management company, 1Z (all 5 of them co-own it and their leader PABLO is the CEO).
