When my girls were little I bought a small plastic basket at the dollar store to put all the hair accessories in…..always worked well & we knew where everything was 🌼

Good to see you got new toothbrushes. My doc told me it's a good idea, after a sickness to replace your toothbrush. When you brush your teeth during an illness, you are putting all those illness germs on your brush..then as you get to feeling better , those nasty germs can be re spread, as they are still on your brush. So, good call Hannah! Do we have a nurse in the making? ( Boiling water can also kill germs on the brush ).

Tom a paper towel stand that stands on counter makes a great hair tie holder and you can get one at the dollar tree sometimes if you'd rather, or walmart of course
Solomon is reading so well. Hannah is quite the organizer! I love hearing them figuring the cost per ounce!!! I do that all of them time, much to my husbands dismay at times! As the children grow in age, so does the grocery bill! Lol
These boys could do the whole shop for you easily with a comprehensive list. Free up some time for u , they could go during the day or when you on a date night or something
On chicken broth. In hispaci area they have chicken broth cubes and granduels just mix with water. Really great flavor and best price. Shelf stable. I sprinkle in my roast and throw in cup or two of water . Lots of great helpers. Have a blessed day.
You should try putting dry onion soup mix in with your roast. It makes your roast really moist and it has a super good taste. Yku may want to use 2 envelopes depending on the size of roast.
When learning what kinds of meals you fix,do you guys ever make nachos, tortilla chips, shredded cheese, canned black retried beans (or regular refried beans) sour cream, could add fried ground beef, fresh,canned tomatoes, or salsa,?? Or however you like nachos.
Tom, I live do baking to like you do. I made homemade pumpkin bread, chocolate chips cookies, peanut butter cookies, Biscuits, and on homemade made foods is homemade Mac and cheese, homemade pizza casserole

We eat so much processed food. The budget can be saved by making and freezing pancakes, waffles, breakfast burritos,oatmeal squares,doing your own chicken nuggets. It was great however to see your children helping with the buying and putting up.
Should shop at a bread store they have more then bread . And a out let store. My daughter first stop saving is the bread store I'm very proud of her stretching money and they give her so much free.
I've been sick for about 2 weeks now. Been to the doctor, they don't know what it is. This cough just hangs on and on. I'm weak and lately just going to bed. Hoping that you and your kiddos feel better. At least you have a second driver in the house, I don't.
Greetings, In my opinion, it appears “brand named products” are high in your list along with convenience foo. If money is no object then fine. But with a large family one would think you’d make more homemade items. Maybe a trip to a bread store and a big box grocery like Costco or Sam’s would actually be worth the extra time and gas. Not trying to offend anyone. What you spend in one trip we could live on for 6 months. Have you ever thought of using coupons or digital coupons?? Every penny helps.
Thanks for the comment karen. When my wife was alive she made our chips, bread, laundry soap, window cleaner, dish soap and countless other items. My life now consists of homeschooling children, running my busniess, dropping and picking kids up from school, making dinners, doing chores and cleaning besides the daily issues that a large family has. At times in my life I didn';t have a lot of money, and I traded my time for it, working more to solve that problem. Now I just don't have a lot of time and I will HAPPILY pay for it since I find time much more valuable right now. We can certainly buy more generic items, but there are some items that we just don't want to purchase generic, like cheese slices for example. While coupons save me money, the time in getting them and using them makes there benefit negligible . I don't know how many people you have in your family, but with my 10, there doesn't seem to be any way someone could live 6 months on 1000, or $166 a month, no matter how many coupons I use. One day I will have someone who can help me do more like that, but right now I am just trying to survive :)
Totally understandable. I meant no offense. I was taught economics early in life and it’s a hard habit to break. I have stocked my pantry, every open shelf and extra closet. I can everything I can get and my freezers are full. So now I’m able to buy the specials and pick up fresh produce and dairy. Some months I don’t even hit $100. In fact I do self pantry challenges. The longest I’ve gone between grocery shopping has been 2 months. I wish you well.
So I recall Andrea discussing how you would not support your kids if they wanted to go to college as you don’t see it necessary. I am curious to know, would this outlook change if one of your kids wanted to do a job that required a university education such as being a doctor? or would you try to guide them into a similar career that doesn’t require as much schooling like a lab tech or administrator?
No Andrea never said that. We haven't changed our opinions at all. Going to college is fine, I have a BS in IT. However starting a life with 50,000+ in debt is a bad way to go, but obviously for many things it's necessary. I would rather encourage apprenticeships or hands on training if possible.

since you are still sick have you tried vitamin omega 3 with fkaxseed and calcium magnesium and zinc i had a cough for a month started taking the above and no more cough and i drank lots of chicken broth at night and drank no milk for 3 days
