@nelsondsilva2543 It's similar to how the video said. In my opinion it's very technical although it doesn't take center stage like the bass does. both bass and subbase sound amazing and you can certainly feel them slamming in your ear. For my ear, it strikes a fine balance between technicality and bass with some of that extra holographic "fun" which the BC driver brings to the table 👌🏻. If you're using a mobile device to listen at all, absolutely make sure you're using JamesDSP with the Convolver as it really brings out the power of this IEM 😌👌🏻
Haven't heard this IEM, but I'm guessing that peak is more of an artifact from the BC driver interacting with the measurement equipment, which isn't completely representative of a human head... which has bones... for conduction...
We don't know. the 5128 usually has a resonance due to vibrations on that region, so with a bone conduction driver, that gets multiplied by a 1000x, it gets weirder and highlights the difference between a microphone and an actual person, so will that happen in your head? Probably no, and if it does, it'll be like a vibrating resonance that makes the bass more meaty or thumpy, but it'll not be as extreme or incoherent as it seems on the graph
I own an Origin. It is an IEM with a great amount of slam which hits harder than the Z1R. It has rumble and heft that gives the impression of being like a subwoofer in the ears without blasting, while the Z1R captures the essence of subbase and fun while still feeling extremely nimble. Basically, Origin ismuch more bass orientated, while the Z1R is a fun tuning that is choosing not to be really heavy. Though neither would be what I would consider a neutral tuning.
Why is there an issue using resin in higher end IEMs? Is there something lacking with their acoustic properties or is that they don’t feel “premium” enough?
Its a trade of, resign is more comfy but less durable compared to metal who is rarely comfy. Don't worry about sounds because its all about implementation of drivers.
Does anyone know where I can find a set of MMCX to Recessed 2-pin adaptors? I'm using the UTWS5 and the 2 pin connector will not fit into Recessed 2-pin IEMs like the DaVinci.
Question, for someone who considers himself picky and audiolover(not to say phile cause that's too pro)... what IEM should I start with if I'm into metal music and EDM? I've liked Sennheiser's sound sig and like excitement in my music, love bass but clarity as well... what would be a really good 100 dollarish more or less recommendation? THANKS!!!
This thing could legit be my personal endgame if only it didnt have a chonky shell... fit comfort is one of my biggest issues with IEMs so I legit can't use any of these big ones. Guess I'll keep rocking my Letshuoer S08 🙏
Tried both. Origin takes the cake for me. Simply sounds more "holographic" if you will in it's approach and bass actually can be "felt" under certain tracks. This is coming from an owner of Monarch MK1, MK3, simple tws like Samsung Pro Buds 2, oldies like Shure SE535, the MEST MK2 and now the Origins. Seriously, these babies take the cake and will be my new endgame until one day something extraordinary comes to take it's place. (P.S. it won't be easy, these are amazing)

Some fellows say mest mk2 has better resolution and soundstage. Origin was not in the market when I asked, was only being reviewed, and finally went with mest mk2 and i have absolutely no complains. I don't know if origin is better or worse, but mest mk2 is definitely endgame for me.
I was interested, because of the BC driver. Contacted Thieaudio to know if they'd make this available as CIEM, answer was no. I lost interest. If it's not available as CIEM, it doesn't exist.
I've currently own MK1, MK3 and now recently, the origins. I'm sorry but I 100% go with the Origins. Especially if you prefer a more spacious "holographic" sound and more tactile bass 👌🏻
@@etherreal4393this is what I hate about the monarchs. My ears feel stuffed and so do my eardrums. How are female vocals and Treble? The mk3’s slam acoustic songs but fall short on electronic and digitally recorded songs.
@@vera_bh8091 Sry for late reply, but female vocals and treble don't take center stage on these IEM's, however, I can say that they are well separated and fit nicely into the "orchestra of sounds" these types of IEMs tend to produce with their imaging. So if you like well-balanced yet tactile/impactful bass with great sound separation and clarity in the the treble, these are the ones for you. Hope that helped 🙂
I bought the Origin's based off all the hype & honestly was not impressed at all just like with the Monarch MK3’s. Maybe I’m just not a fan of Thieaudio’s tuning but I’ve had my Moondrop Variations now for >2yrs & listening to both the Origins & MK3’s I just felt let down & can’t justify the massive price bump for either over what I already have. Don’t get me wrong the MK3’s are better, slightly than my Variations but $400 better?? No way so I thought well maybe the Origin’s would be worth it at a cheaper price but no they were basically on par.
Just going to say they make the ugliest iems. Generally as you get more high end the design gets more refined sleek nd less colorful. These and their other products are just ugly.

How do these sound compared to the 7hz legato
Was waiting for this review for a looong time.....
Could someone please explain how would the little sudden peak at around 200~300 Hz affect the sound in general?
Yeah I'm looking at that with a bit of concern given the price.

Anything like that is almost always a measurement artifact though that looks pretty different from what I've seen, but 5128 is likely the reason.

Thiea have qc issues with prestige and prestige ltd due to the resin. But resin is the way for mass production.

The legacy 4 and legacy 5 are pretty solid
