Awesome 👍 job guys
Thanx 4 the clip...takes me back. Had a 76 D100...rebuilt the stock 318 bottom end with a factory hardened steel crank I lucked into. Had a set of 'J' heads redone and shaved down with intake matching and a mild CC 268H cam. Strong, dependable lil motor...and truck.
mopar or no car!!
There’s plenty of performance parts for the 318 LA engines available
I got a 1972 D100 with the 318 lol, gotta love it
Sounds like a little monster, sounds awesome.
Sounds hella good
318 SOUNDS GREAT 👍
The number that matters is duration at .050". Total duration or advertised duration tells you nothing.
238° of duration, intake and exhaust is what the camshaft has on a 110 LSA.
It's huge, there are much smaller cams that would run a lot better.
Love IT!
wyatt withrow, its pretty low, never replaced pistons, i would say 8:1 max.
What head on it stock 318 head 1.74in 1.50ex ? Rocker set ? All stock only cam you change ? i built one with 340 intake with edel 600 but in future i put another cam
Ah yes, the eight cylinder symphony.
Big cam low compression. Can’t imaging it has much power. Sounds nice tho!
Is it a complete dog or how’s it run?
Flat and and just normal driving?
Any chance i could get the specs on your build
Can I swap a 360 1979 in to a 1989 318 ramcharger.?
@fpeletz so since no one else said it- "hey thanks that saved me countless hours and who knows how much cash..." because people think they know better, right. Thank you
What brand did you go with your cam? Size? I been looking around for a cam for my 88 D100
Shawn Shaw mqpar performance 284 duration int and exh .474 lift int and exh
does carboraitor give you more power than fule injection
It can, check out "Nick's Garage channel where he compares a carb to EFI on his dyno.
How did u set up ur alternator for regulator and what size belts are those
What intake
whats the specs on the engine
Horsepower?

Beast lmao
What kind of cam shaft? I’m looking to make a budget drag truck out of an older dodge pickup. It has a 318. And any other ways to make it faster???
You can get a 318 up to about 400 HP pretty easy and still use it as a good daily. Get good flowing heads, better cam, and bump the compression up by decking the block and higher compression pistons
Awesome motor I'm getting ready to build one to put in a 1966 Plymouth satellite what kind of performance parts did you use :)
mopar performance camshaft 280 dur, .474/.474 lift, melling oil pump, cardone water pump. sealed power valve springs. not a lot of new stuff. oh, and summit long tubes
Where can I get an overflow top of the radiator jug like you have on this truck?
do you have all the specs for this engine
How to make a 318 sound like a 440, lol.
what cam is in this
something is not tuned right. could be a bad ground. i can hear it but not impressed.
+Limber Giraffe I think he's saying that the cam wasn't "worn" properly.
+Jennifer Pina apparantly you're not accustomed to hearing a cam with a ridiculous amount of overlap
you are probably just hearing things. the timing does sound kinda off though, including the engine shaking. unless you have bad mounts.
The 318 is actually the strongest Mopar small block because of the bore size. Other than bore diameter they are identical. A 318 bored .040 over with an eagle stroker crankshaft turns it into a 392ci monster!
