This is arguably the best line up Testament has had; DiGiorgio and Hoglan with Peterson are a relentless rhythm unit; Skolnick is in a league of his own in terms of lead work and Chuck Billy remains one of the most unique, original and consistent singers in metal. What a great band.
This line up kicked SO much ass ! Lombardo right after was absolutely insane and Dovas now is doing really well - they might change a few people here and there but they're like a big family and ALWAYS deliver ... most consistent and humble Thrash metal band out there - they deserve every inch of the fame they have and i think they should get more :)
I agree I've followed Gene Hoglan for years. One of Metals best drummers. Check out early days of Dark Angel and you know why Testament was glad to have him.😊

Not that the replacements are a bad fit but I did also enjoy listening and watching Louie Clementi and Greg Christian were fucking awesome with Testament.
Gene Hoglan and Steve DiGiorgio are one of the best rhythm sections metal has ever known. Even before Testament, their work on Death's Individual Thought Patterns album was and remains phenomenal!
I'm always expecting to see Greg Christian on Bass, then it's the new Bass player Steve! 🤔😏😂 LOL 🤙🤘✌️👍 I'm just so used to seeing Greg what is he up to these day's, I'm an old Thrash Metalhead, seen Testament numerous times always Outstanding love these dude's! cyjazz no actually. This is recorded live. The camera guy I'm talking about is not the man behind the camera. I am talking about the man behind the desk managing the multiple cams, who has no idea what to focus in a metal concert. I caught them on that New Order tour as well. I may have seen them earlier. For sure at one of the shows Chuck Billy did a stage dive right onto my head. He was a big guy so I guess I'm lucky I suffered no damage.
Wow so many times hearing James Murphy cover Alex Skolnick's solos, it was nice to see Alex return the favor! Great set! Glad they threw Low in there! One of their best albums! They should play more off that
as usual, Alex shows he is world class, in the running for best ever guitarist in the world, BUT Eric shows he is right there with him, although not as "popular." Heck, from a lifelong fan, Eric may even be better IMHO. He is a monster if you pay attention. Either way, Testament, is world class and should be recognized as one of the top bands in the world.
Agreed. I personally think Eric Peterson is up there with Hetfield in terms of rhythm guitar skill, some of the best, crushing riffs in metal have come from Eric Peterson, and his leads are not bad at all.
Saw these guys two weeks ago in Manchester and they were fuckin awesome... the energy is unreal. I’ve seen people make comments for the likes of Metallica slowing down because they’ve gotten “older” over time. These guys still lead the way in metal for me. 🤘 (big Metallica fan before I get hated on haha)
My god! Chuck's voice only gets more brutal over the years!! I saw him this year and it was insane in rock in rio! He performed 3 songs only but were unforgetable ones! LONG LIVE TESTAMENT AND THRASH METAL!

Arjan Snijder, objectively false. Kemper profiles sound as close to the analog version as possible. Check out Andy Sneaps AB tests if you even pretend to care about objectivity. Furthermore, the reason for this sounding crap, is because the audio's taken directly from the board and then streamed live. There's no post processing, no mixing. Just raw audio.
I go all the way back to the days of The Legacy and Practice what you Preach. I still love the Big 4 but Testament will always be my favorite. Should be the Big 5. Wanna see you guys again soon.

I still think they don't belong in the Big Four of Thrash, for one reason only. They are the BIG ONE! What a criminally underrated band, Skolnick is a legend and Peterson is a riff monster, need I mention the Chuck and the cyborg sitting on the drums too?
This set makes me want to get back into Testament again. I kind of fell off them after Formation of Damnation (amazing album btw). I didn't lose interest, I just got really busy in life and didn't have time to get into their new albums. I love Testament and I don't even know half these songs :(
You won't be disappointed. The latest Dark roots, Snake and Titans are awesome. Cant wait for them to record with Lombardo now. Chuck is as brutal as melodic, what a voice. They are classic thrash yet they don't sound tiring. Secret? Tons of talent
30 YEARS after THE 'Dynamo' gig, Testament still sound great, but I miss Greg and Louis sound, no disrespect to either Steve di Giorgio & Gene Hogan (respectively) but I'm a very 'old school' an and miss the Origional sound - Chuck sounds great, as do Alex & Eric - Rock on lads!
I find with comments like these, it depends on how young the person is< I came into thrash around 1983, so for me ALL the 1980-1990 Metal bands that still exist and gig, are THE consistent bands, and still sound great, just look & listen to Overkill and Annihilator for example :0)
You know I guess I never realized that testament is my favorite band. I watch all their shows and have been to dozens. They never ever let down and i have never seen them have a bad show...just solid metal and a good time. Wow i never realized that till now!
I've been a Testament fan since.....'89. I love watching Chuck Billy preform, who else thinks Chuck should pick up a guitar? He plays air guitar with his mic stand the entire show, he should just learn to play and join Eric & Alex...

They should have added Souls of Black and The Legacy to the playlist, anyway this is terrific.

I still think they don't belong in the Big Four of Thrash, for one reason only.
They are the BIG ONE! What a criminally underrated band, Skolnick is a legend and Peterson is a riff monster, need I mention the Chuck and the cyborg sitting on the drums too?
My hero alex skolnick is there....love u master...
This is the 2nd Testament concert I have watched this week, and NOT A FUCKING PHONE IN THE AIR!! \m/ \m/
Should be more love for Gene Hoglan in the comments!!! \m/
Gene ATOMIC CLOCK Hoglan. Amazing drummer for decades!
Gene Hoglan stands alone. His legend needs no words.
Sounds fukn killer!! It's awesome seeing them rippin it up and having fun at the same time. Testament still THRASHIN!!!👊
I love this band so much
Estos tipos sobrepasan los 55 años y logran mantener la energía y el cabello...increíble
Y el buen oído.
Chuck is such a happy dude love this guy
30 YEARS after THE 'Dynamo' gig, Testament still sound great, but I miss Greg and Louis sound, no disrespect to either Steve di Giorgio & Gene Hogan (respectively) but I'm a very 'old school' an and miss the Origional sound - Chuck sounds great, as do Alex & Eric - Rock on lads!
Dynamo :) Brings back memories ;)
I wish i was there
Metal never ages...and this is a Testament to that. 😁
I see what you did there. 🤘🤘🤘
What a great performance! Love the solo in Electric crown.
Testament deserves more respect.
Alex Skolnick is fucking unreal, one of the best shredders in the business
Awesome!!
Love all the love for each member of the band on these comments !
If there was ever a competition of consistent quality music released in heavy metal Testament wins. Accept, Priest, Dio, Sepultura comes close.
Sepultura? They haven't released a good album since Arise. You forgot to mention Overkill.
Cenot4ph Roorback, Dante XXI, Mediator, Machine messiah are all great albums. Yes Overkill are consistent too.
Johan Olofsson kreator, artillery, voivod, annihilator, flotsam and jetsam, exodus, death angel, metal church, etc. are great also
sepultura bullshit isnt big
I find with comments like these, it depends on how young the person is< I came into thrash around 1983, so for me ALL the 1980-1990 Metal bands that still exist and gig, are THE consistent bands, and still sound great, just look & listen to Overkill and Annihilator for example :0)
always loved how chuck plays air guitar with his mic, i would totally do this too if i was in his shoes!
Centuries of Suffering 10:13 😁
Lol! yep they chunked it up pretty bad there. It happens to the best!
Bow to excellence and precision in the musicians the mighty TESTAMENT CREATED.
