Yasss I love love love book content! It’s just so cozy and I love reading myself so I always love hearing what books you’re reading and your thoughts on them. I would love book related content every month or as often as you want to post it! 📖
Hey Carter, your channel is absolutely a comfort channel for me and I’m so grateful for it. I actually work for Penguin Random House here in the states and so I hear about new or new to me books in all sorts of ways, but I feel like my reading tastes are pretty similar to yours and I constantly add to my Storygraph while watching your videos. I’m also a pet parent to a 14 month old pup so I love the Lila and Stella content. Thank you so much for all that you do to give a realistic look into one way to approach your mid to late 20s which is enjoying the slower / more repetitive seasons of life and just making a solid effort to carve out a life that makes you happy amidst all the chaos and noise. It’s been so soothing to me in an era of my life that’s been less action packed than I might’ve hoped for. And, you deserve that galley, I’m so glad you got one!
Love the long chatty vlogs, especially the book videos - thank you for always giving great suggestions for my TBR! My favorite book so far this year was “The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store”, it was a great palate cleanser & a reminder that there is still good in humanity ❤
carter i love these book videos!! we don’t have the exact same taste, but it does overlap a bit. but the book videos really are some of my favorites. my favorite book of the year was probably either butcher and blackbird or lights out! both the audios were so entertaining and funny
Great vlog and congrats on getting Rebel Witch! It’s so deserved. Your recommendations seriously helped my book consumption this year. My favorite this year was Daughter of Darkness.
I love hearing you talk about books! Even if we don't share the same taste on all of them, it's just so nice to hear someone who loves reading as much as I do! My favourite book of the year is probably Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors. (I also loved her second book - Blue Sisters.) Looking forward to more booktalk! :)
Ahhh City of Girls! One of my absolutely favourites! Glad to hear you like it too. I'm still trying to figure out if our book tastes align exactly, so the more data I get, the better. Lol
I am in love with the book content! My favorite book this year was probably Gothikana by RuNyx. I read during the autumn months and it was a 4/5 star for me. Love all of the new book ideas and longer content!
I love this style of video! Definitely would love to see more! Favourite book of the year is not really an easy question to answer haha. So, I'm giving two 😇 The Heartless Hunter and Kingdom of Ash.
I love listening to you just yap away, it feels like listening to a friend ❤ My favorite book of the year was probably don’t hex and drive or smoke show ✨
Love the bookish content. i watch every video you put out but would definitely move a bookish vlog to the front of my watch later!I think my favorite book of the year is Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hildebrand!
I been refreshing my phone all day for your video today! And this is perfect timing I’m folding laundry and baby sleeping ! So excited for this video!!
Always my auto-watch TH-camr for all the coziness & bestie vibes🤍My favorite read of the year was probably Fourth Wing🙈 Just added some of your recs to my 2025 TBR!!
Hi Carter! My favorite book of the year was The Spellshop. It was a super cozy fantasy read about a homebody introvert with a talking plant who finds their family. I found you a couple months ago and have loved everyone of your vlogs. Thank you for all your hygge content
Such a cute little video! I also reorganized and went through my bookshelves today. I think my favorite book(s) of the year so far have been The Crimson Moth, A Tempest of Tea, Somewhere Beyond the Sea, Apprentice to the Villain or Dungeon Crawler Carl. All of these have just given me life when I have read them. I hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday!
I always get so confused because I think only North America calls at heartless Hunter and the rest of the world calls it crimson moth😆 But ou A Tempest of Tea is on my TBR!!
Enjoyed this bookish vlog very much. Needed something to listen to on audio book...so as a fantasy reader..downloaded Kiss of Iron. Excited to begin this.. Thanks for your book recs. Life doesn't get any better than this. A bookish video from Carter on a gloomy, rainy, day. 🖤📖💧🌧🧋
Loved this longer format and would be great to see this as a regular feature of your channel! My fave book of the year so far is probably The Wartime Book Club by Kate Thompson. This is my GR review Such a good book! It has joined the legions of other books about books that seem to have proliferated over recent years. But this one really does stand head and shoulders above the pack. Not that there is anything wrong with the others, but this one sets the bar a little higher. It exquisitely details the deprivations of the Channel Islanders during their occupation by Nazi forces in WW2. How they helped keep the morale high, how some came to turn on others and denounce them to the Nazis. How some young, impressionable girls fell in love with their oppressors. We follow their lives during the war years and then catch up with those that remain in recent times. Why, oh why, can we humans not learn the lessons of what has occurred before?
Favorite book(s) of the year…A Novel Love Story (thanks to your recommendation), Laurie Gilmore books (The Cinnamon bun Book Store & The Christmas Tree Farm), The Summer Swap & Love at First Book. 😊
I started the first Throne of Glass book on New Year's Day and I thought it was such a magical series!! It started my interest in fantasy so it holds a special place in my heart this year. Empire of Storms and Kingdom of Ash were my favorites! I love the covers you have 💌
Love the book content!!! Silence for the Dead is my fave Simone St James book. Haven’t gotten to Murder Road yet, but hope you enjoy whichever you pick next!
My hold came through on the eBook for Silence of the Dead too so I ended up starting it last night and I'm really liking it. It's giving me The Only One Left by Riley Sager vibes🫶🏻
I absolutely loved this video. I’m in CT and it was a perfect cold, snowy day and this video just fit the vibe! I can’t wait for more videos like this one. My favorite book of the year was Collected Regrets of Clover - I highly recommend it. It’s fiction and about a death doula, her experience with death/dying, grief, etc. Just the way death and grief is demonstrated in this book was just beautiful. I loved it so much I chose it for my book club book! I think it’s so awesome and generous that you do these giveaways.
I dont know how I’m going to pick a favorite this year cus I’ve had so many stellar reads but two top contenders are Heartless Hunter and The Songbird and the Heart of Stone! ❤
Omg this year has felt so long that I have soo many favorites from the year 😭 But if I had to choose it would definitely be Powerless by Lauren Roberts. I loved that she didn’t just make the main character into this perfect person and give her powers that were “hidden all along” like many fantasy books, I love that she was powerful in her own right 🫶🏼
Not usually the video for me, but love hearing your perspectives on books. I don’t hear a lot of people than can speak so eloquently and uniquely like yourself
Crazy that you commented this because I find my biggest flaw as someone who likes to talk about books is that I am not good at describing my thoughts/feelings on books well. So this actually meant alot 😭😭
Omg, the arc for rebel witch 👀 I loved heartless hunter and I can't wait. My favorites were heartless hunter, tomorrow tomorrow and tomorrow, the secret history, circe and the red rising series :)
Starling House by Alix Harrow was my book of the year! It was the perfect fall read. I loved the witty inner dialogue from the main character, Opal. This story also reminded me of the movie Up in the sense that the house is just as important as the characters :)

My top three reads of the year would have to be: small favors by Erin A Craig, Phantasma by Kaylie Smith, and Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross

@@SarahSquarah Also I think with a series like this that is SO subjective on opinions that don't feel like you have to read something if you aren't enjoying it! The first book is rough and it won't be for everyone. I know so many people who either love or hate the series 😅❤️🫶🏻
Hi, I love your videos.❤️ If you haven’t read anything from the grishaverse, then I would recommend listening to the six of crows and crooked kingdom books on audible!
@@marissakemmerer5841 I have not 😅 I'm sure I'll try it someday but I did not enjoy the ACOTAR series so I'm worried I won't like this either but may give it a go on audio!
Too hard to pick one favourite book this year. My tops were Just For The Summer, Phantasma, The Unmaking of June Farrow, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow!! 📚
Honestly that would be the dream but I can barely keep up with my corporate job and this channel at times lol! But if I ever were to go full-time on social media I'd love to create a book channel. For now I just enjoy posting bonus uploads about books when I can!! ❤

@@SarahSquarah Also I think with a series like this that is SO subjective on opinions that don't feel like you have to read something if you aren't enjoying it! The first book is rough and it won't be for everyone. I know so many people who either love or hate the series 😅❤️🫶🏻
My favourite book of the year was Words Of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson!
Hi, I love your videos.❤️ If you haven’t read anything from the grishaverse, then I would recommend listening to the six of crows and crooked kingdom books on audible!
I definitely plan on getting to them one day but so many other series to read🤣😭
I just moved. Great timing!🤍
Congrats!! Hope the move went smooth and successful 🏡🤍
@CarterSullivan It was. Thx🤍
Have you read the throne of glass series yet? I saw it on your bookshelf, currently reading the series now myself.
So many good ones!!
Love!!
My favorite book of the year was The Women by Kristin Hannah. ❤️
LOVED that book!
Have you read the Katee Robert's dark mafia romance books?
Of course!!! I love Katee Robert so much🫶🏻
You should create a separate channel for all thing books ❤ you have to much to share!
Honestly that would be the dream but I can barely keep up with my corporate job and this channel at times lol! But if I ever were to go full-time on social media I'd love to create a book channel. For now I just enjoy posting bonus uploads about books when I can!! ❤
