I obviously think the production team got her on the show to at least have that start power. She’s easily from the most famous and successful group on that show and she’s had the longest career. So of course when she left they added exid member.

After school is pretty big tho in korea but not overseas and orange caramel never heard of them being big
I found it weird in the first place they invited her from everyone they interviewed. It seems they just wanted her because she was the cherry on the cake and it would give more views. I can recall at least 10 other singers that could've been in her place..
While I think it’s really possible that they used T-ara and Soyeon’s popularity to add more competition and and add hype for the show however I think her story still is valid to be shown. Imagine being hated in your home country for the remaining years of your career as a member of a group even tho the scandal was all false. She performed as if she’s in front of a blank wall in SoKor that’s very traumatizing knowing people hated you and most of your fans left you. She’s a very strong person.
Easily that was why they chose her. They actually chose some quite famous ones. I don’t think Nada should have been there. She’s actually been active fairly recently and her solos have done alright.

the exid member was only for one song though, like a feature (honestly she was a little annoying bc she basically made gayoung do all the work but)
