Few years back, I did one Udemy course. The instructor used to give a small pep talk after each module about how to stay motivated when you don’t want to do coding or things get complicated. At the end of the course she had suggested this book so good they can’t ignore you. But I didn’t read it. Thank you 👍 I got some essence of it now. I am not going to read this book this year, but I am planning to spend 1000 hours on the skill I am working on this year. 😊
Hi! That's so nice to hear. All the best for your skill development. Please give this book a try when you have time next year. He gives insights about how to spend those highly focused hours which will be useful.
Thanks a lot for Introducing this Book, I got it in Apt time… Appreciate it. My key take aways… Craftsmen Mentality through Deliberate Practice which Creates Career Capital. With that we can even Turndown Promotions. So we have to Achieve the stage “Be Good They Can’t Ignore You” before quit or call it as Passion!
Hi, I am glad you find this book helpful. Yes, pretty much what you have summarized. Only one caveat thought: After gaining some career capital in a certain field, it is unwise to quit that career and go in a totally different direction.
Sorry Subha, I really missed the Essense:( "It is unwise to quit that career and go in a totally different direction!" Well Noted now:) but people (including me) say going after Passion which is Fashion!
@@lsanbu Oh Yes. You are not alone. Print media like Pasumai Vikatan spread such ideas. The arrival of TH-cam and other online platforms that can help generate passive income, accelerated that idea. Because of this many of our people are in chronic unhappiness. They are always looking for this 'job they will fall in love with'. That was the reason why I read and reviewed this book. Much needed one.
