Nice to see you back in action! Large substations and (electrical) switchyards are frequently located near railway because the transformer cores are too heavy for any other form of transportation.
There's a big substation near Buttonwillow along the branch that had it's own spur. I didn't know that until I started researching for the video I did on the McKittrick Branch. This one may have had one too although I could find nothing about it.
Mark it is so refreshing to see that you are getting out that just means you’re getting better good for that look forward to more videos that just means you’re getting that much better cheers to you my friend
New sub. Sorry to see you struggled w/covid & am glad your doin better. The first vid I watched was about the different uses for track. Interesting stuff. Anyway I'll be catchin upon your vids & look forward to more from you.✌
Thanks for the sub! It's appreciated. I have a lot of stuff to check out and enough content already scheduled to last into April so you shouldn't miss a thing!
I don't know if it's just the time of day but when you have the camera pointed in certain directions it looks like 1990s VHS tape. Like an old Pentrex video
Great to see you back out an about. Nice to see you getting stronger. As for the Mickey Mouse voice, it's better to have that than being unable to speak.
Hi Mark, glad you are making progress, thank you for the video.
Great catch. I am very happy to see you outside my brother.

Love to see you back in action. This is what I wanted to see ever since you were hit with the COVID....you getting back out there!

Sam Fuller It looks to be late afternoon in Bakersfield, plus the valley gets a lot of haze from being a dusty region.
@@ictrains9731 glad you're back! Breath MARK BREATH!!!
Yeah! It was late afternoon and the sun and smog gave it that golden fuzzy look. My wife even commented on it!

This is true. I'll be back around March old voice or new!
@@MarkClayMcGowan great to hear
Glad your doing better, just take it slow brother!
Good to see you back Mark. For some reason this guy was on main 2. might have something to do with why he was going so slow..
It's good to be back and that territory is signaled in both directions. Who knows with trains, huh?
Probably had an unforeseen slow order.
I hope your voice comes back
Sucks to see him like this.
You're doingfine
