If someone who keeps investing time into marriage talk and taking things THAT seriously for 4 years says “gimme a few more months” when you propose? Nah, she’s guilt as charged
Story 1: No firm evidence of cheating, but it sure is suspicious that she needed a couple months. Like OP said, why did she need a couple months? Accepting a proposal doesn't mean you have to get married within a certain timeframe; an engagement can last for years, so why would she need a couple months before she could say yes? Because she was seeing someone behind OP's back and if she accepted the proposal they would have to go public with it, which would complicate things with the AP and everyone who knew about the affair. The AP might not even have been aware that he was an AP, she might have hidden it from him.
S2: This is how you behave as a husband. Remember her brother was just insulting his wife, he was insulting him aswell. Not letting her go alone is also a big W move.
S1 - well...I don't know if there was an affair...but clearly OP was more into his GF than she was into him. Not a good balance. Better for both to just move on. Either OP is delusional or GF is stringing him along.
Her husband is a keeper and her brother shouldn't badmouth his sister whether his problem is. It's not his sister's fault but his own. The parents are morons 🙄
Yep. My brother in law had to put my hot head brother in his place once when he was being rude to our older sister. It was embarrassing because my BIL was a good guy, and I warned him that my family could be toxic.
Story number two: the fact that the brother felt entitled to treat his sister like that shows that he’s been favored for years. He’s immature. He’s taking out his anger on an innocent person. His mother was OK with it. That mother Has raised a real POS.
Same thing happened with my cousins husband and her brother. He beat him up in front of his family. Us being Egyptian, the brothers family stood by and let it happen. The husband's number one priority is to protect his wife's life and reputation, even from her own family. Funny as hell when it happened.
S1: While she maybe cheating, maybe you should gather solid evidence first before accusing her of that, while your entitled to split because of the proposal rejection. S2: The husband did talk with him 1st and said there will be consequences, and punch him since he still talks like that. Clearly the brother is the golden child as the parent did not do anything to stop his mouth at 1st, but jump straight to giving ultimatum to their daughter afterwards.
Story 2 husband is 100% spot on with everything he did , a husband protects his wife no matter who the attacker is stranger/friend or family , she has made a commitment to be with him and only him so his commitment is to her and there children as they are now his responsibility to protect at all costs end of . its good that everyones backing the man for once but just sad it’s come to this as this is how a husband SHOULD behave .
Story 1: Sounds a little like you may have jumped the gun on ending the relationship unless I missed the damning evidence that you found of her affair. Or are you just letting all this decision rest on your sister's "girlcode" explanation. Story 2: Brother would have NEVER gotten to the second verbal assault. There would have been ZERO question in my being serious. I promise.
1) Getting married is a big dicesion, of course she need some time to think also you didnt tell even find any evidence and just believed your sister? YTA 2) NTA your brother is rude becuase you have something he diesnt, your husband is good for standing up for you 3)NTA you actually contrubute to trip with them, like paying, so they should be thankful for that
" spiritually cleanse the house burning sage..." 😅😂😭 Yeahhhh.... Because bad spirits aka demons are so terrified of a burning leaf. LMAO. My goodness, people are so ignorant and foolish.

S2: Yup, a weak man. The mother is angry at the son-in-law cuz he makes her ashamed of her husband

S1: OP, tarnish her reputation she cheated and was not going to marry you.
You loved her but she did NOT feel the same.. Good riddance to her.
Story 2. Im on the husband's side. No one speaks to my better half that way either 😂😂
S2 F.A.F.O that's what the brother did
Story 1 U cant tell anyone about the affair because u have no prove of an affair also never trust the word of someone that burns sage .
Yep. That was a red flag from the sister.
