WE DID IT Y'ALL! Thanks so much for your prayers and well wishes! We were able to go on our honeymoon turned babymoon in St. Lucia and get back to the U.S. with absolutely no issues!
I didn't actually plan to vlog the entirety of the trip. And to be fair, I didn't quite do that. But I did pull out my camera whenever there was something that I just wanted to remember. So you'll basically be seeing approximately 5 minutes from each day here lol but still quite a bit from our trip.
This is only part 1 of our trip! In part 2 we do so many fun things including shooting my maternity photos! I hope you all enjoy!

I love Saint Lucia. The last time was there October 2019 right before the pandemic. Since the pandemic I have only been traveling in the States. Maybe in 2023 I will feel more comfortable with traveling outside the States again. I am glad you two had a wonderful time. 🥰

Hello! I have missed you guys. The music that came on when you said "We'll see you in the morning", was a whole vibe with the trees and scenery! I love your videos! Take it easy in these streets, TA. Nice video, i goin to dom rep in May, we’re u not worries of the Zika virus or is it safe there now? Did ur docs not tell u not to go?
Have a great trip! The cdc updates the Zika levels for every country so you know if you need to be concerned about Zika or not. So we just monitored the CDC website before going and it was always low. In fact, the Zika levels in st Lucia were the same as in the United States at the time lol Additionally, our resort sprayed heavily for mosquitoes so the guests were comfortable. And as an extra precaution we brought our own bug spray and Mike sprayed me every morning. Because of all of that I wasn’t really concerned. And my doctors cleared me to travel as well. They weren’t concerned with zika. They were more cautious about Covid and how far along I was in pregnancy. They didn’t want me going into labor in a different country 😂😂😂
Thanks I’m from the uk and I’m pretty sure they will prob advice not to go but I don’t understand how some countries like USA seem ok with it but some don’t. It should effect everybody the same right?
@@ashleyphillips5922 yes it’s the same for everyone. But note that we went to st Lucia last January (2022). At that point the Zika levels were the same in st Lucia as it was in the United States. The risk level was low then. Their were no new reports of Zika diagnoses coming out of st Lucia. So it wasn’t as if our doctor gave us the go ahead when it was risky. There was a very low risk so they weren’t concerned and neither were we. Idk what the Zika levels are now or what it will be when you go. But if the numbers have changed and st Lucia has changed its risk level, then it would make sense not to go.

@@ashleyphillips5922 my main advice for the DR is do not drink the tap water 😂 it will make you so sick. Only drink bottled water there
