Idolish7 is getting the recognition that they deserve little by little and i couldn't be more happier.
Idolish7 Third Beat is seriously one of the best things of the year and it could be compared with other animes like Vivy, 86, Fumetsu and Fruits Basket to me, is THAT amazing.
I think Idolish7 don't get the love and credit they deserve from west people, even when the anime is soooooo good
It's the idol anime that surprised me the most
fr you'd think at least the fujo circles would get to it too but it somehow just stays under the radar.
@@ahnhyungseobhaveyoulearnth8286 yeah Ainana's western fanbase is so low-key (I'm a fujo but tbh I just enjoy the Idolish7 because of the music and because of the story as well, the very slight BL fanservice stuff - not that there is much of it, really - is just a bonus.) Wish more people watch it because it's really good
ikr! I was very surprised by how the game/anime doesn't shy away from the reality of the idol industry. The quality of the music and MV also just gets better!
Boy, I never thought I would get so happy, frustrated and sad because of an Idol franchise. I've seen many idol anime but Tamaki in ainana s1 is the only thing that made me legit cry. (The other thing I shed a tear for being A3!'s Kumon or Kazunari but I CRIED at ainana s1)
And now I gotta prepare myself to cry again at third beat's next episode.
Female idols attract both male and female and unfortunately, the opposite isn’t true. Ofc some guys enjoy it too but that’s probably the main reason why idolish7 is so underated, no matter how good it really is. Not to mention that the idol genre is a very niche anime category.
@@legacymse7095 that's sad cuz tbh is the only idol anime that i can say that i genuinely love, I have nothing against idol animes but it's just not my cup of tea, but Idolish7 is more dramatic and so well written, i feel like everyone would like it, doesn't matter the genre you are

not gonna lie, i agree with nijiro passions being at the place it is. its my favorite love live op, but i have to say in terms of production quality aozora jumping heart and mirai no bokura wa shitteru yo are much better.
Ngl the Akiba dome scene and the color pallets for AoJump just hits different
Bokura wa Ima no Naka de and Sore wa bokutachi no kiseki should be first and second, and then MNBWSY and AJH. Then Nijiiro Passions!
The reason I'd put it at least a little higher despite lower production quality, is I think it better introduces each individual character, their vocal color and their own style/vibe, even if it's just one line. To me, that's so much more important than really gorgeous lighting effects.

Yass So happy to see UtaPri on here!! The anime is what got me into idol genre in the first place-though after hearing what happened with Tatsuhisa Suzuki (voice of Ranmaru Kurosaki from Quartet Night) I had to drop the series for a while, but still so happy to it on this list!!

Because Bang Dream claim that they are band anime, not idol anime (even tho pasupare are idol band lol)
@@shml_gt I think the difference is that the characters in bangdream perform as a band, while idol animes perform as an idol group. Bangdream play instruments while idol groups sing and dance (some may perform with instruments but mostly individually, not as a band). Pasupare are idols but they perform as a band, where the other idols play their instruments instead of singing and dancing only. Maybe they're 50/50?
Not an idol anime, it’s music/band theme anime like K-On and Hibike, pasu pare is the only idol group in that show
Guys please help me. I've seen this anime in Animax before maybe 2012 or 2013. It's an idol group anime and the only thing I remember is the song chorus which sounded like this:

I really love seeing Love Live ! Series; Ongaku Shoujo; AKB0048; 22/7; Wake Up, Girls!; and Lapis Re:Lights in this list. It was all my favorite Idol anime of all time, especially Love Live! School Idol Project. It was my number 1 favorite anime lol.

I agree. I honestly thought there would be at least 3 openings or endings of pripara in this video. They spent a lot of budget on stuff for the new upcoming things. And the songs are amazing. But I was expecting that Love Live or Aikatsu will be on the top tier because they're quite popular. Though since they're more popular than pripara, I can understand that. Though I'm not saying that Pripara is better than all of them. As in my opinion, I like pripara more.
@@Laurahowify I mean, ll has a dub, a decently sized international fanbase, and imo it isn't overrated, although I agree pripara deserves more recognition and that there should've been other idol anime songs in the top 4

The "cool" rock/metal/EDM songs are really good to hear and I’m sure most people would prefer that BUT, from my own experience, the "generic" idol songs are much better. Idk if it’s the choreography, the aura they have or the lyrics (probably the lyrics), but it hits different. I’d choose Sunny Day Song over Kowareyasuki anytime. I’m probably not the only one who think that, so it’s most likely the reason why most idol songs always have the same "flavor"

So, so far in my life, I've only been interested in Love Live (like, I'm huge stan of all groups). I've tried watching Bang! Dream, but for some reason I didn't keep watching. But hearing some of the male anime OPs... I'm curious. What are the best male Idol anime? Also, is IdolMaster good? Thank you!
Idolm@ster, especially the OG series will give you a bit of almost everything (beach episode, mock wedding episode and a mini skirmish, right down to really depressing, tear-jerking moments), plus there are a lot of different insert songs and each episode has a different ED song, most being the image songs of the idol that the episode focuses on, with the ones that has no particular focus on any individual idol being certain group songs instead. Not everybody can get into OG 765 Pro because TBF, the franchise is 16 years old already, but throw in 765 Million Live and you have a choice of 52 different idols from that branch alone.

@@Shadowespeon17 highly recommending idolish7!! it's very down to earth and the conflict is quite realistic. it's more dramatic than, say, love live (for the record i am a huge fan of both lol), and it deals with the cast's issues and challenges in the idol industry.
also some of their songs are composed by popular producers, such as livetune, who wrote the OPs!

Interesting list, but personally, I don't agree that LL dominates the top 4. LL has high quality animations and choreography, but for the actual songs, Change, Ready and even The iDOLM@STER (movie OP) from im@s are just leagues above, coming from a fan of both. Onegai Cinderella deserved higher IMO too but otherwise some interesting looking picks
I think what made Love Live claim all top 4 positions is that they had it all, production quality, music, singers, and animation. Some had great songs but the other aspects didn’t live up to the songs’ quality in which in a ranking system like this could put them below

It is extremely hard to compare idol anime without thinking of Love Live and Idolm@ster. Those two stand so tall that they dwarf the others. Love Live is a really important series to me and I hold it close to my heart for various reasons, however, I do have to say that the other Idol series deserve a bit of spotlight too, and maybe if they got that spotlight, they would have the chance to become something great, if they aren't already!
LL and Im@s selling are top 10 in Japan, they're unbeatable for Anime Idol.
Idolmaster Cinderella girls Starlight stage still one of the top mobile game too with always get top 10 in earning below FGO
