You also want to add a little bit of dish soap which helps the oil and water mix together. I had an issue with rats chewing one of the harnesses in my car and the peppermint oil seemed to work. The only issue is depending on conditions it may need to be sprayed fairly often, but if the cars are in the garage it should last a bit longer.
I came here to recommend this. I live in Colorado next to a bunch of fields and had a terrible issue with mice chewing bits on my M3. Peppermint oil completely stopped it, and it smells good.

Hi TJ! My girlfriend and I live in Arizona and have been dealing with a rodent problem with her car. They chewed up her harness and caused some bad damage. After getting this fixed, she installed a high frequency noise device that also strobes when the car is off. It detects the vibration of the motor to know when to turn on and off, which I find very cool. Since installing, she has not had any issues with rodents. I don't know exactly which one she got, but I can say that it has worked so far and I would highly recommend you getting one for all of your vehicles that may be vulnerable. Huge fan of the channel and love from AZ.
Irish spring soap bars…. Don’t ask why lol but that stopped them from burrowing in the cabin air filter and nesting in the engine bay. It’s kind of a pain in the butt, but it worked for me
In my opinion the best R34 I have seen. I think if you make the interior look as amazing as the exterior and find all of the trunk trim and original mat it will completely change the car. The wing risers gave it that final exterior perfection that it needed in combination of the gold badges. A work of art. Excellent job done by Tommy and the crew at Garage S Zero.
I know it’s gonna sound crazy but I promise you it works!! I do this to my viper and srt4 and Cummins every year when I park them for storage.. put dryer sheets through out the car! I put some in the cab on the floors in the trunk, and in the engine bay. Tuck them in areas of the bay you think could attract the mice. 😊😊
TJ when you are done with your car for the day turn on the air circulation, that way it closes the little door bringing in fresh air and therefore one more way they cant get into your car.
Rodent repellant peppermint spray and balls. I spray the entry of the garage, inside and around my cars. I also put the peppermint balls in trunk and engine bay for my cars that sit more than a month.

For a almost guaranteed fix although it would be tedious get Honda's pepper tape. Its specifically for mice. Downside is you have to wrap the wires you care about or all if your willing to. Dryer sheets, moth balls etc.. from my 10+ years of auto experience tend to work sparingly if not at all. Any sprays that you can use tend to be hit or miss whether they will damage the car or the wires you are spraying them on. Peppermint oil is probably the second best alternative however, the upkeep depends on you. Hope this helps!

My mom had a Toyota and apparently in Asia they use some form of wire insulation with some part of a rice plant which is why they like to chew the harnesses as well. She used moth balls, but not enough to make her car smell like them, put them in strategic places where they like. Glove box, truck, speaker areas, under the seats, etc. Hope that helps.

I used Meguiar's ultimate compound to fix a spot on my hood. It didn't work and made the spot worse so I tried it again, it made it worse again and now my whole hood needs to be repainted.
Had similiar problem with other animals which bite through cables and to prevent it I had something installed which works basically like an electric fence on the underside of the car. So any animal would get a little zap when they tried to enter the car. Might wanna look into something similiar. Also it didn't actually drain the battery much a all, at least when the car was used daily.
You can park your cars over something. RatMattUsa makes one. It gives off a frequency rats won’t come near ur car if it’s parked on the “frequency pad” I live super close by to you and have had rat issues in the past

Tj , for the rat problèm it’s pretty easy you put peppermint oil with water in a spray bottle and spray the engine with it and VOILÀ

You can also put peppermint plants in pots near the entrance of the garage. I work in a shop that gets rats my area is the only place they avoid.
