Self-righting Hull Design
Designed to be as stable as possible with a self-righting feature if you ever flip it. Unlike other boats, the self-right feature does not require power to work. Give it a few seconds and the flood chamber will fill with water, making the boat self-right. Hit the throttle and the water exits the flood chamber as the boat moves forward.
Dual Water Pickup
Keeping your electronics cool is a priority and we have increased the water flow by adding a dual water rudder pickup. This added water flow will make sure cool clean water is being sent to both the ESC and Motor keeping your temps in check.

Sealed Canopy

Im currently stuck between the sonicwake v2 , the spartan sr or the new traxxas Disruptor....
All Self-Righting all look fab.... what would you recommend
I've not had a chance to use the Disruptor.
The only down fall with the sonicwake is the turning circle. It turns better one way than the other. This can be fixed using a longer rudder.
As seen in this Video the spartan does take on water, Also the hull cover seems to fly away too.
I personally would go for a Pro Boat Sonic wake v2. I don't think you will regret it. But it is a personal choice.
the sonicwake in this video took no water on what so ever. In terms of speed I believe its quicker too!

If your going to use it then yes! 100%
If its once every 2 months then no , As you would use the xmaxx more. You have a boat when you do want an RC boat fix! 🙂

@ajm6001 we have a rescue boat! As shown in the video, when the Traxxas failed and went over.
We also had a dinghy ready!

Standard procedure on any new boat is to put floatation on the hatch before you ever run the boat, just stick some polystyrene or closed cell foam under the hatch. Especially on larger boats where a new hatch can cost £100 - £150 just for a hatch. Also some boats its either difficult to get spare hatches for or worst still hatches are not available.

Thought about getting one of those Spartans, but if the lid is a common problem, il forget it, hope your mate is able to get a replacement lid under warranty as that should hold.
I have the sonicwake V2 36 in the same colour as yours, the 48” 8S version I believe does the same speed. Seen the size and price of the batteries for that thing? £1000+ for the whole setup, boat, batteries and charger if you go down the spektrum route. Hi mate hope your well! Yes the last wheelspin day was fantastic with loads of bargains to be had!
The lid itself on the Spartan clipped out! Which is known to happen in this sort of situation.
They don't have any seals between the lid and the hull which isn't great as they do take on a bit of water.
But other than this issue its a great boat! Very agile.
Best thing on these is to tape them on every run.
The sonicwake V2 has been amazing!
This was the second time I ran it, So much fun!
I do want the 48!
But it all comes down to if I use the 36 V2 more.
If I just buy it, I know the 48 will sit on the shelf after one run a bit like some of my cars! 😆😂🤣
@@thercstore. glad you enjoyed the Traxxas open day, I couldn’t make it due to a health problem which I’m still waiting for an appointment to get sorted out.
A lot of my RCs did not get out this summer, which means I have saved in buying parts this year, still growing the collection (50 now) speaking of boats, I also have a Joysway Alpha in yellow, that rips as well. It’s also a 6S boat and what you pay is really good value, the boat however is not self righting so have been thankful it hasn’t flipped over, and it does take in water, but not an extreme amount.
All the best for now and if you do get the 48” il watch with great interest

Regards the Sonicwake 48 we shall see! As I was the only person that I know of with an RC BOAT locally the Boat hardly gets used.
But since John has brought his Spartan I'm hoping more people join us which would mean I get more use out of mine. If this happens the 48 will be coming!
