Kef C Concerto have much more bass but are probably very dry in the midrange compared to these. Midrange in KEF is always a bit in the back and not that natural. Just get these and a sub depending on your music.
Out of all the speaker reviewers out there, I feel like I can trust the review of someone who likes electronic music and also produces music ,like i do, more than just people who listen to music :) If that makes sense. Great video, thanks!
Thanks for watching! I’m not expert musician, but I dabble because its fun knocking out your own tunes. All of my intros are original beats, for better or worse! 😂
Hi ! I have a challenge for you! I saw on your video that you have an old pair of B&W speakers and I am itching to know how they compare to more recent models from the same company. I think we may have some surprises, some good, some bad, about such a challenge. By the way, great review and your music selection is exemplary ! Thanks!
Oh, yeah. Its sounds great on these. You do needs a sub for those heavy kicks but that is true for any bookshelf. Curiously, what tubes do you have in rotation right now? I’m always looking for new tunes!
@0102studio nice! I'm really happy with the svs sub I'll be pairing them. -- Oh man I have a library of tunes. What's your email so I can send you a Spotify link?
excellent. I have the regular Lumina 2s. I wonder how much of a difference the crossover makes. Or the crossover frequency. I'd love to hear these side by side. (I do have a SF dealer down the street, just never go in. I think the Lumina 2s are the cheapest thing in the whole store. Feel like i'm buying Washer Fluid at the parts counter of a Bentley dealership. )
Great review, thank you! Sonus Faber Lumina 2 Amator, B&W 706 s3 of Kef LS50 for rock, soundtracks, and jazz? Cannot understand why SF never appears among the best speakers, I like their sound a lot. Kef sounds too neutral for my taste. Tnx!
kefs are too forward and have too much separation to be neutral, they are on the analytical side with a softened punch (adds some sweetness to the sound).
Like always another awesome review buddy! Have a great weekend.
Thanks so much for watching and sticking with me!
Excellent review. Very entertaining and a pleasure to watch. Thanks for this.
As always, you’re most welcome!
I’m going to audition these in a couple days. Red is the way to go. Going to listen to the Sonetto II. Wish it came in red.
Thanks for recommending LTJ Bukem, so nice! Subbed
Its such a good tune!
@@0102studiothanks for reminding me of this. Its almost 20 years since I heard this. Used to listen to while studying for finals at Robarts.
Thank you for this review. Now I wonder how they compare to the kef Q concerto
Me too!! And you’re welcome!

Have you listened to both speaker? Or are you going off individual reviews on TH-cam? @@kristwi37
@@kristwi37have you listened to both of these speakers jn person?
Love the styling on these

The finish alone is glorious
If they didn't sound great, you could hang them up as art. They look awesome! Well done!
They do look beautiful!

There is a video similar to that, up right now entitled Buyer’s Remorse!
How does house and techno music sound on these? Would you recommend these for that music? I'm currently listening from Emotiva airmotiv B1+

@@ComeToThySelektor can you paste it below?
Great speaker the Lumina, does the 606S3 have the great soundstage scale - general width, depth and height - that the original 685 had?
I have both, and they are completely different speakers. While they have some of the same merits, most of the similarities are really the badging.

Lol, nah just enjoy the sweet deal you got on great speakers!!!
Thoughts on 1999 Aproditie self titled? Love that album / mix
Honestly, I wasn’t big into Aphrodite.

I loved both the Lumina 2 and 706 s3. I have yet to hear the Kefs. Though hopefully soon!
@@0102studio I will warmly wait for your review, because I am sure it will be honest.
@ its the only way I can be. My poker face is horrendous! 😂

Beauties. Would they match well with Technics SU-G700M2?
I have no idea, but maybe other have tried it?
How do you like these compared to the quad revela?
The revela 1 is much larger, twice the price. Bigger and better overall. I love that speaker so much but its not comparable.
This speaker fits you. Because you're like the Sonus Fabre of HiFi reviews.
Hahahaha! That’s awesome!!
These are real leather? Non-vegan friendly speaker?
I’ve heard both real leather and faux leather. Its looks and feels real to me.
should be priced like a bose that it is
Sigh…
