I'm sorry to say that I had seen only one of Edd's video's a year ago, (WTFuture), and I thought it was wonderful and hilarious. But of course, this was before I understood the concept of the subscribe button, and I thought I would remember to watch more. I wish I had seen more of Edd's work before he died, because I feel like those people who only become fans of someone's work until after they died. But the thing is, he's not dead, he lives on through our hearts and our memories.
I found out who Ed was when he died through one of my favourite comic websites, I watched all of his videos then went on to Tom's and Matt's and Bing's, I never knew Edd or his work when he was alive yet, I still feel shocked that he died. I'm not a cheesy person, but I really don't think that he can die in my mind. Thanks for everything Edd.

I loved Edd's videos, I have done for many years now. It's amazing to think how I've never met him, yet I'm really saddened by his death. It must be great to have affected so many people's lives in such a positive way both in life and in death.
I would always watch Edd's videos :) At school my friend told me "The 'I like trains' guy died." I really thought that he had it wrong, but when I got home...I saw all those videos. He was an amazing man. He did amazing work and put time and effort into animations just to make people smile. Rest In Peace Edd.
I grew up with Eddsworld, Edd vs Tom was first thing I saw on Newgrounds in 2004 when I was 9, I've seen him evolve as an animator. Eddsworld has made me cry with laughter on occasion and I love the care that went into the cartoons, to the point where they took many months. I met Edd a few times at the MCM Expo and I always watched his streams whenever they were on. He was an incredibly friendly and funny person and the dent he left in the animation community was a great one, he'll be missed.RIP
I never knew Edd personally, ive watched all of his animations over and over again, i loved them all. i played a few games online with Edd but it wasnt much. When i watched the video, i feel such grief. i never knew him, and yet me, and im sure many others feel this way, that a close friend is gone, Edd you won in the end, youve made so many people laugh and smile, your the real victor here. Thank you for everything that youve done for everyone out there. you will never be forgoten

its been literal years since anybodys commented on this huh i remember being home from school sick when i heard about it, it consumed my entire day just scrolling about online and learning anything i could, in hopes the news would solidify i never, ever expected to hear that he wasnt able to beat cancer a second time. his animations got me more into animation and what it means to develop an art style, got me to develop some of my own type of humor i cannot begin to imagine how it feels to actually be there one day, and know hes gone the next. i know its been over 10 years, but im sorry nonetheless. as corny as it is, i think we're all happy he was here at all, accomplishing what he did. devastating to know his time here has ended, but every closed door inevitably leads to a new way forward.
