An album so awesome that it deserved a place as part of my home office decor! As far as writing inspiration, it's even got a song called "The Writing Writer"! Doesn't get much better than that.
It's weird because in one sense, you want to demystify the process and break it down to its essential parts - it's just WORK, the same as laying bricks or digging a ditch. You show up and plug away at it, and eventually you have something. Still, it's hard to deny that there is something mysterious at work when those creative juices really start flowing... Thanks for watching, and happy writing!
@@core.author Thanks for the reply. A large part of the writing is work, but some parts of it is truly mysterious. The brain has all the nuts, bolts and gears of the story and fits them together unconsciously into a working machine, and it feels as if the machine came into being without a plan. That has happened in practically every book I have written. I have started listening to The Fallen Odyssey, and I'm impressed by your use of language. I'm much more into science fiction than fantasy, so I'm not impressed by the medieval setting, but you are a true jedi master of "show, don't tell". I have something to learn from you there.
The "best" way to write is such a subjective topic... There's this interesting book I read called "Process: The Writing Lives of Great Authors," and it was amazing how the daily routines and creative processes of the authors examined were SO varied and SO different from one another. It really seems like there's no single right way to do it. Which is liberating - you can do it however it works best for you! Thanks so much for watching.
Lol I have tried out so many different pieces of writing advice and productivity hacks and all that stuff, and the only one that works seems to be "show up and try," so I think we're on the right path! Thanks for watching :)
Love that Coheed album. It was one of the first things I listened to that inspired me to write
Haha. I was just about to comment on that ;)

Great testimony. I recognize most of what you said in my own writing. Nice to know I'm not the only guy who functions like that.

This video helped me. I started to feel lost with a lot of contradicting advice floating around. Thank you!

Great video, and ironically great advice - which I will or will not take after trying it out myself ;)
