I begin planting chestnuts into 3" x 8" TreePots. Lots of little helpful tips provided along the way. I also solved the issue of access to the plants inside the table(without creating a door).
Had 45 sprouts from cold stratification that I planted in the greenhouse at end of February. I have planted 34 of those in the ground in April and they are doing well. Did not know to remove the nut and the raccoons got them by lifting or opening the tree protectors. Big trees are loaded with catkins. Still looking for new burs.

Thanks - it is a lot of work potting them up, but worth it in the end when you have those beautiful trees!

Thanks - only issue I can see is keeping the pots watered regularly if there is a dry spell. Fortunately, chestnuts don't mind being a little dry.
Where / who- do you get your seed nuts from?
