    I live in North Carolina, and you are by far, out of all the weather channels, that gave a good, clear picture and explanation of what to expect from the weather from Helene. Thank you!

      I'm in Banner Elk vacationing from North Port, Florida. I spent 6 hours in the eyewall of Hurricane Ian. I think I'm more worried about this one! I hope we don't get landslides up here.

      Good question. Many names are re-used on a rotating list. If they are really bad storms, the names are retired not to be used again. Hope this helps.

    03:40 What exactly do you mean when you say the mountains are "5 to 6 thousand feet at times?? Are they growing and shrinking? Jumping up and down? Perhaps you should carefully reconsider your choice of words. A remedial English course may be of help to you as well.

      Some of the NC mountain peaks in that area are 5,000 ft+ and others are 6,000ft+. It's possible to misspeak in a 10 minute extemporaneous weather video :)
