Scours mostly happen in calf because of the cryptosporidium at three days age and at 4-6 or 7 is because of the attack of salmonella and scours occur at 10 to 15 days of age is because of E.coli and every scours/severe diarrhoea has different colour and is easy to distinguish.Proper sanitation prevent the occurrence of scours. But when it happened, use broad spectrum antibiotics

I want to 2 calf in pakistan mail and female
How about leaving the calves with their mothers to get the colostrum? That's the best prevention.
after 3 feedings the colostrum is not as effective and enough antibodies get into the calf to protect it. I raise about 2,000 calves a year and only lose about 10 a year. Keeping them separated, clean bedding, fresh water, and grain will always raise a healthy calf
Most dairies feed the recommended 6 qts of colostrum shortly after birth. Scours still happens, even in calves left on the cow, and you need to know how to manage it.
Great video, horrible background music
Athank you. The photo of faeces was particularly helpful.
