I hope they come up with simple solution for registration. They should allow other sim cards as well for the app functionality. I don't see why they cannot. They can use other identifiers to identify the car or make Sim card change registration easier. It would be much easier for both customer and manufacturer to manage.

Yes, it can, you just can't connect to it with your phone or use the apps on the tablet that requires internet, but Android auto will be fine
So if you are in country the app doesn't work then changing the SIM makes no difference?
