I bought it yesterday but it doesn't pick up location/city. I go to the weather app and city search doesn't work at all.

Is the qr code on the outside of the box the qr code for the individual frame itself? I would like to buy it as a gift and prefill it with pictures but I would prefer not to have to unpackage it to get the unique code for the frame
