Very interesting video although shared some years ago now so I'm a bit late to the table. Wanted to share my layout as it's different again. My T6 is a LWB so it is only an option to those with the extra 40 cms. See attached photo. Jo. Sorry can't share photo.
Small isn’t always bad! We find our van is great for the 2 of us. It’s also easy to park, fantastic on remote Highland roads and low key causing far less negative reaction from locals than a bigger motorhome! Have fun. N
Many thanks. I’m a bit obsessive and inclined to over-think things because I like to get them right first time. Whilst my vans been in paint I have been living with the fully built interior in my workshop, cooking, relaxing, reviewing and modifying it as I learn what works best. (Also having a lot of fun making best use of the very limited space available!) I’m happy we made the right choice for us and this video was simply about saying you have options. Best wishes and thanks again. N
@@highergroundlifestyle it’s good to see options, some of mine is custom made by me as I needed specific bits of storage for hobby bits. Nothing wrong with getting it right first time, but also you will always find something needs a tweak after you use it in anger
Agreed! I really like the nugget configuration. It makes incredible use of a very limited space to create three distinguishable habitable areas plus a fixed toilet. Very clever but difficult to recreate effectively in a home build. Even Ford’s front bed is a bit of a faff to make up…
@@highergroundlifestyle correct. And one would need LWB to get the toilet in. Westfalia Joker is a bit similar albeit galley kitchen. I am thinking of doing a nugget like setup in reverse so you have the back in same as your U-space. Kitchen behind driver in an L with sink an fridge in corner. But still it's a big puzzle anyway 😊
@@nilsjohnsen7515 Checkout my other videos for how I have fitted electrics into these units and modified them. Another video coming on this soon. Cheers. N
Really useful. We are going with almost the exact same layout!
Glad it helped! We have no regrets. Best wishes. N
Hi, am with you on the U shape it’s great. Also windows at rear at least because you should be enjoying your surroundings. Cheers 👍🏆
Cheers!
I like this layout a lot.
Yes, it works for us! Cheers. N

U shape. The best layout by far 👌🏻.
It’s right for us for all the reasons I mentioned! Cheers. N
Exactly what we are doing at the moment. Had a 7.0 mtr motirhome before toured for 5 years. Vans are so small...

This was extremely helpful! Thank you!

Great thoughts, I built a conventional layout but if I was doing it again it would be a pop top and L shape seat/storage/bed

@@JPracer069 tonight’s job was starting on the bespoke drinks cabinet! Watch this space…
Rear kitchen like the Nugget style works with a reversed pop up roof.

@@highergroundlifestyle it will have a similar kitchen design as this one.

You could add a single seat like a combi seat
Love the u-shape
What company did u go with?
Thanks. I went with van furniture. It’s good solid gear made with 13mm ply. No MDF or anything that will dissolve in water.
@@highergroundlifestyle
Perfect.
I will do the same.
Can i know the price u payed?
@@nilsjohnsen7515 Around £2k but I also ordered cushions, hardwood table/work surfaces and a few extras. Best of luck! N
