Love the classic games broadcasted on FOX in the 1990s. John Davidson was a great analyst for games. Even as a wings fan, the goalie mask of Jeff Hackett is one of my personal favorites along with Eddie the Eagle.
Since it was April 4th, I was just thinking he might not even have been sick this time either. 🤯 I bet Bowman was just resting him for the playoffs since the dude played 30 minutes a game. An amazing human.
The amount of hitting in this game is about the same as a current-day playoff game. And this was a regular season game. They don't play them like this anymore! There were several hits in this video that would have caused the entire team on the ice to jump the guy delivering the hit. Here it was just business as usual.
