US having a good roster doesn't actually matter. They tend to always have problems on international level, i'd put my money on Canada if i had to. I honestly think the US has the smallest probability to win it even though their team is very good on paper, just looking at their previous performances on international level.
im looking forward seeing the valeri bragin veteran heaviness of swedens WJC roster, but im missing that "it" factor on a 3rd line a frondell would bring. frondell has had a slow year, but in a quarter, semi or final. you need "those" guys. with that said, the core of stenberg, edstrom, sorum, wahlberg, pelikka, lindstein and wallinder was a milimeter of winning the 2023 U18s, and was probably the most complete team that tournament. so on that basis, if they click as a team, lookout.
Awesome, and thanks for the time stamps!
