It's now amiami on the 4th floor. 3rd is mixed merchandise of multiple franchises and has an 18+ doujinshi department. I think Lawson or Family Mart now occupy the 1st floor.
My pleasure!!! Akiba is an awesome place but sometimes difficult to navigate! I hope the videos help people when they visit! Thanks for the comment Daniela!
GREAT VIDEO!...=) THANX FOR THE TOUR. "AKIHABARA" IS ONE THE DESTINATION ON MY LIST TO SPEND TIME AND SHOP TILL I DROP...LOL =) IM A BIG ANIME FAN AND STARTING TO GET INTO MANGA. QUESTION? HAVE YOU EVER DONE A TOUR OR VLOG OF CLIMBING "MT. FUJI" IFSO, WOULD HAVE THE INFO IN HOW TO MAKE RESERVATION & PRICE? AGAIN THANX! =)
Hey Xavier! Thanks for watching the vid!!! I haven't climbed fuji, but this site (www.japan-guide.com/e/e2172.html) gives you all the info you need if you want to do it! I hope you get climb it soon!
+Unique Poison I'm glad it's helpful!!! You'll have a great time in Japan, and Akiba is great! I hope you found the map link too - that should be helpful!
Was a year too late to this video! I went last year and was overwhelmed by the amount of stores and the number of floors, I just went to one that looked decent. PS: that guy at 18:15 though haha
Ha ha!!! xD Oh I know what you mean about the shops being overwhelming - we found that too the first time we went. Took a while to find all the places we love!!!
Thank u so much Natasha for the video , it's soo guidful , but i would like to ask you about the prices . Are the figures cheaper in akihabara than the stores on the internet ?
I do find they are - and especially as you don't need to pay import prices or customs. You do need to shop around akiba to find the best prices though. I hope this helps!!! :D
That is soooo helpful .. I’m planning to go for shopping and idk how to buy from that figures locked in glass.. I saw something like paper do I write the figures number and hand it to the employee? Or is there multi way
Hi Ikoshiki sama! Yes I believe that's how you do it - I've only done it the one time; but I think there are papers around and you write the numbers of all the figures you want then find someone who works in the store to help. I hope you find what you're looking for!
+Kuhan Vasu suica! Pasmo is the same as suica but for Tokyo, suica is the more applicable to the wider Tokyo area and can be used in other places in Japan also. So get suica!
Hi i love your videos. I hope you do not mind me asking . planning on going to Japan for the frist time main for shopping . Do you have a video How do you get stuff home to the uk . I am from uk if not any tips . Thank you for you time x
Oh exciting! Japan is fab for shopping - you'll have a great time! I usually bring a GIANT case with me and just take everything home on a plane with very elaborate packing methods! Some flights will let you take more than one case with an extra fee if you're travelling economy (usually it's free for premium or upper classes). You can also try to post something to yourself from Japan. I've only done this once and a very long time ago! But Japan Post has some good information on it's website - so this might help! www.post.japanpost.jp/int/service/i_parcel_en.html
Thank you so much! This video will be such a great resource when i go next year! 😊 Just wondering, is it difficult to find a hotel/airbnb in Akihabara?
Airbnb is pretty tough now as the Japanese government cracked down on it. However, my favourite hotel chain has a branch in Akihabara, and even though I haven't stayed there it's supposed to be a good one! Oh and the one in Kanda (10 min walk to Akihabara) is supposed to be even better!!! www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g1066443-d12179570-Reviews-Myojin_no_Yu_Dormy_Inn_Premium_Kanda-Chiyoda_Tokyo_Tokyo_Prefecture_Kanto.html
Wow that's expensive! Yes they are cheaper, but by how much depends on the exchange rate! The best place to go is that shop in Floor 5 at Radio Kaikan, I always found their selection good and their prices. So try there if you're going to go! In British Pounds I always found them to be way less than 100 pounds, so more like 50 or so, so much less than 150-200 dollars!
The whole series (part 1, 2 and 3) was all filmed in one day! Although if I was going to all these stores to properly shop I would suggest two or three days - especially if you're a super manga / anime fan! :D
How....did I miss Radio Kaikan?! I was in Akiba sooo often when I was in Tokyo for a month...but I never went into that building???? Whyyyy @ past me qwq'
@@thisNatasha I was wondering if you could possibly tell me a good area to stay that would be convenient to explore but also its not that far to travel to Tokyo Disney && would an airbnb be okay?

Do they sell english translated mangas or just the raw japanese?
Mostly raw Japanese. If you want a good collection of English manga try Kotobukiya in Shinjuku!

@@thisNatasha That sounds PERFECT! Thank you so much! 😊😊😊
Do you happen to know if play arts kai figures are cheaper in Japan than anywhere else? They're about $150-$200 in the us. Depending on the figure.

thisNatasha oh okay thanks you!
Its second hand figures but their expensive from the original retail price...
Yes true! I think some of the figures appreciate greatly, especially some of the Alice things I look for!
Wow, lipstick color is gorgeous. What is it?
Oh thanks so much! It's the Mac Liquid Matte in Retro Grand maybe?! I love it!!!

Time to save up to go again! That's a good enough excuse surely?! :D
thisNatasha already planning to go again lol
If everything works out I'll go again in Autumn 2018~
So do you currently work and live in Japan?
Not anymore sadly! I moved back to the UK in 2016. I'll be back a lot though, and maybe we'll move back in the future!
I'M COLOMBIAN IN ISRAEL!!
wish they carried plus sizes :)
Yeah that would be great - it's not the best place for that sadly :(
