As Salaam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh. Thanks for your detailed reviews as always bro. It’s great to see someone else with an appreciation for quality and craftsmanship. Much Love from Newark, NJ!
Great review and comparison. All merino sweaters pill fast in my opinion but an electric pill shaver brings it back to newish looking. I agree that Uniqlo sweaters are too long and baggy in the sleeve at all sizes. The body is forgiving. A silky AIRism undershirt negates any discomfort for those w/ sensitive skin. The Heat Tech shirts are a great alternative also. For functionality and quality per cost, Uniqlo is great, affordable, and gets the job done. Naadam brand, like Theory fits much better than Uniqlo and the Naadam original sweater is a nice middle ground for fit, quality, price.
Haven’t heard of that brand but will definitely check it out. Fortunately my Theory sweaters are doing surprisingly well. They are my go to winter “base layer” for my outfits. As time passes I have worn them less and less carefully. Despite my careless approach to wearing and caring for them, they still have no issues and still look great with very minor pilling. I work around a lot of rack equipment think server rooms cameras etc. So lots of Velcro and objects that can damage clothes, but these sweaters have surpassed my expectations.
Do you have any Outlier Merino to compare the Theory to? Out of all the Merino I’ve tried it seems like outlier is tops, so it’d be interesting to see if theory can compete with that.
I am an Outlier fan but I have yet to try Outlier Merino shirts, I am thinking about trying one this year. They have so many cuts and weights what would you suggest?
I went with the Theory sweater based on comfort and fit. The Uniqlo one was a little itchy and didn’t fit as well. So I didn’t wear the Uniqlo (returned it ) but I can tell you the Theory sweater is the perfect balance of warm but not too warm. I wore it 52 days so far in temps ranging from 20f to 70f. I find it very comfortable when layering accordingly. Oh and it hasn’t fallen apart which is something I was super worried about with it being so expensive and feeling so soft to the touch almost like cashmere.
Unbounded is incredible. I have their t-shirts long sleeves pullover and now travel pants. They are super fashionable and very durable. Also NEVER wash merino wool in a washing machine only by hand and they will last forever
Just found this page and its creepy! I too only wear all black (merino tee, black converse or Doc martens) love to travel! I tell everyone to wear merino its the best to travel in!
I tried some of their products, the fit didn’t work for me. Wool & Prince fit me much better and I have had excellent results with their shirts after doing the 100 day challenge and beyond.
You think he’s going to reply to such an insulting comment? Be more appreciative or do your own research. Merino wool is relatively expensive. In the grand scheme of things 50 per shirt is not bad at all. Uniqlo is a budget brand, of course it’s going to be cheaper.
@@TheDrew718merino isn’t very durable. It doesn’t matter what brand you buy it’s not going to last as long as something made from cotton. If you want your merino to last long you need to get a merino blend, something nylon will be a lot more durable and last longer.
I cant speak on the UNiqlo quality but the feel compared to the THEORY version was night and day so I sent the UNiqlo Sweater back. The 3 Theory sweaters have held up way better than anticipated with only minor pilling that was easily removed. Oh and I wear them daily when the temps drop below 60.

What’s your height and weight?
thanks for your insights. I'm a female, would you recommend the theory for women or is there a shirt for women?
Theory has a lot of really nice clothing for women, my wife loves their clothes. I definitely recommend it!
Salam brother. Whats your height and weight for reference if i want to order online. Thanks. Great video.
Salam salam, I am approximately 5’7” and 140 LBS.

@@KRTLyfe thanks!
but you are comparing XS vs S and saying that S was too big..
Try Unbound Merino as they arr really good.
I ordered some items from them. The material was nice but the cuts didn’t really fit me so I returned them.

Thank you again! We always appreciate it!
Unbound Merno Wool is the best company for Merino Wool products

Outlier makes the best merino tee
200$ t shirt is better than 50$ t shirt shocker!
Yo, u say you got 3 theory for $150, right? It's insanely expensive compared to uniqlo $50? You know maths meng? Or you talking each $150?

Theory cost $195 each, but with the sale it came down to $150 each. Buy once, cry once. Quality over quantity. ✊🏾

Uniqlo unbeatable compared to the prices

Not sure about that, I think it's beatable by lots of brands because Uniqlo doesn't offer much discount
@@winniethemao3429 true that, but here in Japan it’s already cheap that without discount as cheap as other brands with discount.
