I've been doing a small neighborhood amateur haunted house for years. I thought I was nuts taking a month off to build it and take it down... NINE YEARS?!!! I bow to the master. Of course if I had 6 mill and a factory sized group of friends to help create it... Excellent walk-thru.
And I'm also a heavy metal guitarist and a singer for my band that's why we scream like this in a lot are professional actors but we are all badass thank you very much for your compliment
Amazing haunt, best I've seen by far. Love the sets and the Animatronics. For me it wasn't about being scared, it's about seeing the details and work that went in to making this. I think the actors were getting frustrated at seeing me walk with a smile from ear to ear lol
I think the place would be even more creepy after dark when it's closed and nobody is around' then walk around just by yourself in darkness with a flashlight, just silence! No machines on or working just silence!😵😱😉😀✌️👍👌😎
Loved this! I am a big fan of haunts more into the detail of the haunts then anything! Haunted houses to me is a place I call wonderland lol! Besides scaring people it’s like walking into a Horror Disney movie...I love going just to find myself staring at the rooms and detail! best time of the year!
My only criticism after walking through it myself earlier this month and watching this walk through is the animatronics...The effects and detail are really solid throughout the entire attraction, but the animatronics offer little to no true scares. If they jumped out at you under strobe lights and loud sound effects, it could be truly terrifying, but when I walked through they weren't being used to scare as much as they were to add to the overall aesthetic of the themes. A huge waste in set potential, if you ask me. Overall though, this is a very highly effective haunt, and is plenty shocking and scary even without the animatronics. It's well worth the price and wait!! I'd give my own personal experience an 8.5/10.
BertonRucker1+ Anamatronics help set the stage, but the actors are the real scares. Different things scare different people, Yes actors are the most common scare factor, but many other people do get scared from the anamatronics as well. The Darkness has more actors then any other haunted house in America per sq. ft. Check out all the other videos in TH-cam on the Darkness, you will see plenty of people screaming and jumping and running away from anamatronics as well. The Darkness is also the best in America based on actual rankings, and have proven this with his designs and sets. People come from all over the world for his Darkness haunted house and his other haunted houses in the city, and many are repeat customers. I can not say that with any other haunted house in America, or any where else for that matter.
Absolutely! Like I said, even if I knew it was going to be exactly the same as last year, I'd still gladly wait in the beautifully decorated queue line. I can't wait to see the improvements and changes! Sometimes just change itself is an improvement...especially for an atmosphere harboring the unexpected.
BertonRucker1+ I think they will always make changes to try and keep it fresh one way or another, they are just not going to do any more major changes. Just watch the video, the poor man looks exhausted, plus he has his side business of designing and building other haunted houses for other people. He is really good at what he does, but he does need some down time to relax and rest.
I work at a Halloween Haunted House, we don’t get paid but we do it for fun. And tbh, it’s fun but there are some people who go through the haunt that are a real downer to those of us who do the haunts. We just try not to let em get to us.
I worked for six flags as a scareactor and you get paid pretty well for the one in CA but it sucks because a lot of guests aren't very respectful and kind of make a joke out of you. Not to mention some grab you in which case we have security escort them out of the park
I wonder that there’s a haunted nursery themed room in the Darkness haunted house. If there is, then I think it would have old creepy dolls, a old music box playing, and a huge horrifying teddy bear. Maybe they can add it in the future. That would be my favorite part.

Sushi Demon this is why American mazes are so awful- in the uk the scare actors can grab you and touch you without you having to sign a waiver- by going in you are allowing them to do so.
This can not be the complete walk thru of The Darkness. Mckamey Manor videotaped his walk through 2016 and there was MUCH more in his video, then what shows in this video. His video showed that the majority of the second floor was totally renovated from the 2 dogs right next to the funeral scene all the way to the end was all redone. It was not like that for his 2015 walk through video. Also it showed a side opening going into a large room with bookcases lined up with a whole bunch of static heads on top of them all lined up, and looked like a storage / work area that is not part of the maze. A worker / owner was in there to ask questions for people before continuing into the maze. Also 2016 walk through seemed much longer and more stuff on the second floor then 2015 video. But for some odd reason, his 2016 walk through vidio is not posted any more. and when I commented on his 2015 walk through video asking where is the 2016 video, i think he mistaken what video I posed on and told me, it was in the 2016 Trans world walk through video in Video #2. But it was not there. So I posted another comment about that he must of mistaken what video i was commenting on and told him this video is his 2015 walk through of The Darkness, so my question was related to the 2016 Walk through of The Darkness, and said it is not in any of his videos, and somehow it must of been deleted, but he has not responded back, and that was many days ago. So why is this video not the same as his 2016 video and has the major remodel of the second floor that looks like it was made longer? I would think if his 2015 video was different from th 2016 video, that his 2016 video should show the same in this video above? His 2016 video of The Darkness walk through showed the best work you all every did, and that extended maze was fantastically done. I doubt you would do that much changes after the 2015 season just for your 2016 convention you have right after the 2016 Transworld convention then change it all for your 2016 Halloween season. I have always known you to add, change things every year to improve it, and make new scenes, because you are the BEST in america what you do. I wish Mckamey would answer me on his missing 2016 walkthrough video. His 2015 video is there but not his 2016 video
This is the complete walk thru from 2016... small parts are cut out to keep the video shorter. But overall this is it start to finish. Its actually longer now than when mckamey taped it because we didn't have silo-x then
ScareFest St Louis Haunted Houses+ This is still not the same one he had posted. This is not the one with the lights on. This one has the actors in it, his did not. He also did not move as fast and we were able to see much more due to the camera did not move around so much and he walked much slower. His was over 46 minutes long. Not sure why he would delete it, when he kept all the other years of his lights on walk through and keeps trying to tell me it is in his other video, when it is not. I am just trying to study your work in more detail, for the couple emails we exchanged sometime ago. NO one else matches your style and talent. That video i am talking about, he took a lot of time showing each scene then any of the others. Your up late. my dogs woke me up needing to go outside, i do not always fall back asleep right after.
The place looks awesome, but why do the actors need to scream for?? Yeah I volunteer at the Fright Farm here in Minnesota, I got to say I think our's kicks this places ass any day of the week. We don't scream at the customers that walk through our place, each actor say different lines depending on where there set is. The actors here when they scream after about eleven minutes of that I stopped the video, cause I got a headache from that. You couldn't pay me enough to walk in there, it's not that scary at all sorry.
The first twenty minutes was a waste of money. I've seen way better actors where I've worked. If I could I'd travel down their and go too town! What was wrong was the animatronics too many, the actors in the clown room weren't really much acting or performing, the zombies one did perfect with the growls but the lady following camera man was no where near scary and got annoying, good job too the rest of the zombies, j.o.g.b actors were really good!
I've been doing a small neighborhood amateur haunted house for years. I thought I was nuts taking a month off to build it and take it down... NINE YEARS?!!! I bow to the master. Of course if I had 6 mill and a factory sized group of friends to help create it... Excellent walk-thru.
Omg those snakes at the beginning were beautiful.
Man, nothing kills the immersion of a haunt faster then a loud walkie with employees chattering over it constantly.
This place seems incredible. This is definetly going on my bucket list.
Props and actors are fantastic I love the big props and the ones controlled by people with giant heads and hands!
These actors got some awesome voice skills
I'm one of them performers. In Melrose park the 13th floor...ty. ..screams brutha.
And I'm also a heavy metal guitarist and a singer for my band that's why we scream like this in a lot are professional actors but we are all badass thank you very much for your compliment

This is one of the best i have viewed so far. A lot of work went into this one for sure,
Oh no the clown part is where I changed my mind on going
I love that clown in the beginning. He was funny.
I think the place would be even more creepy after dark when it's closed and nobody is around' then walk around just by yourself in darkness with a flashlight, just silence! No machines on or working just silence!😵😱😉😀✌️👍👌😎
Yeah then a real person jumps out and abducts you. No thanks buddy.
This attraction NAILS IT! There's no other haunted attraction like it. I only just watched this on youtube though.
Loved this! I am a big fan of haunts more into the detail of the haunts then anything! Haunted houses to me is a place I call wonderland lol! Besides scaring people it’s like walking into a Horror Disney movie...I love going just to find myself staring at the rooms and detail! best time of the year!
That is the creepiest haunted house I have ever seen.. even creeper than the one where they chase you with a chainsaw...
So basically it's creepier than every generic Haunted House
The one where they chase you with a chainsaw?
I remember when i was 6 we always passed by this place and my poor little soul thought it was a little cute Halloween shop
My only criticism after walking through it myself earlier this month and watching this walk through is the animatronics...The effects and detail are really solid throughout the entire attraction, but the animatronics offer little to no true scares. BertonRucker1 they sometimes use the animatronics as distractions so the actor can get a better scare in
We've actually added several more animations this year that do nothing but try to scare you. Hope to see you again this coming year.
BertonRucker1+ Anamatronics help set the stage, but the actors are the real scares.

That skeleton slap tho
Life goals. The haunt is sick man. Great job. One day I'll be there but for now I'll stick my home haunt.
I would definitely say "this" attraction would by far, the BEST in the nation.
I would of been scared as fuck if I went here I would cry my eyes out here for fright
This place is insane. Very impressed 💀👻😱👹
Sometimes I really wonder what it's like to work at a job where all you gotta do is jump out and scare people in costumes.
most dont get paid. i know someone who does it and they do it for fun. they should get paid something. the owners make a lot of cash
tbh when people arent scared of you it kinda brings your self confidence down a tad
I work at a Halloween Haunted House, we don’t get paid but we do it for fun. And tbh, it’s fun but there are some people who go through the haunt that are a real downer to those of us who do the haunts. We just try not to let em get to us.

Its seasonal
17:20 Amazing!
This attraction has a bit of everything.
Saint Louis boy that's where i'm from !!!!
Me too boiii
The low field of view makes it a lot creepier IMO
6:48 Dinosaur animatronic?

He is the best and has been at it since the 90's.
did the skeleton at 8:04 actually hit you with its hands?
yes most of the props pop out and touch you
ScareFest St Louis Haunted Houses u had to sign a waiver right?
Sushi Demon this is why American mazes are so awful- in the uk the scare actors can grab you and touch you without you having to sign a waiver- by going in you are allowing them to do so.
This is awesome
i love the monkey satue its peaceful
It's currently 1:57 A.M. I'm going fu screen
I sadly dont live near any good haunted houses
I refuse to go in any haunted house. Especially ones like these.
I’d like this even more if the person recording would stop looking at the ceiling so much
Walk too fast.
Man, these guys don't fuck around.
This place is humongous
This was the first spookhouse I ever went to... good quality shit but never again. fuck.
I went to this it was my 16 birthday
Bruh, so scary
So scary

I️ would have been so scared by the actors aren’t scary at all
Scary
The camera guy's radio that keeps going off is super distracting

I want there is cool
Hold the frick frackin camera steady
its not that kind of video its a complete walk thru so things are jumping out and hitting you and you move the camera looking for things to film.
The one in Iowa is creepier

Belle's AVlogger theres a difference between a haunted house and paying to get tortured
