The feeling is of bliss Ana, when one is submerged into the Divine; the complete truth. The state of no thought, just one consciousness derived from doing meditation. It is is indescribable, and very addicting.
I believe there is knowledge to be gained from people like Papaji. However, although I'm agnostic, I feel like my Protestant ancestry makes me very uncomfortable with a human being worshipping another human being.

If I saw others worshipping him back then, I would have been uncomfortable with it unless I witnessed him perform something I believed to be a miracle (not likely). Today, Christians don't worship a human being. They worship the persona they believe to be/have faith that he is God, who was once Jesus, a man (for 33 years) then crucified, entombed, rose again and ascended to heaven.
Papaji says not to follow. Toward the end of this video he states; "you followed someone therefore your work was not completed". He would be the first one to tell you not to idolise a human being.
Actually, if you are trying to see through the other side of a wall and there was a peep hole and some light was coming through it you may move towards that peep hole for need of seeing to the other side so you may worship it for it's revelation to you but the peep hole is just a tool to your own sight. Once you are close and you see the other side the peep hole becomes obsolete. The masters are just peep holes. They attract us through the light that they bring and as we move closer to that light the dark corners of existence lose their attraction and slowly we are enamored only of the Light we see as we get closer to it. Once we are fully immersed in that light there is no wall, no peep hole only the Light. All dissolves into the One. That is the goal. _/\_
