The Surprising Journey of Making Zinc Rain Gutters and Ham | How It's Made | Science Channel
• The Surprising Journey... - บันเทิง
Zinc Rain Gutters and Ham is my favorite Dr. Seuss book
Watching the ham part somehow made me hungary for zinc gutters.... NOT! And those hams come out of the room 20 percent lighter because employees have been snacking on them!
@@jamestonybrown1712 The ham slid down to your plate on a conveyor made of zinc. And seasoning made of grated zinc powder was sprinkled on the ham for added flavor.
Win! 😂
“Oh the places it rains” is another banger
That Sam-I-Am! That Sam-I-Am! I do not like zinc rain gutters and ham!
Every aspect of that zinc gutter manufacturing process is so satisfying for reasons I cannot fully explain.
It seems i have binge watching on my hands with this channel. Good thing its the weekend
Imagine a world without zinc
Come back, Zinc!
Almost as bad as a world without springs! IYKYK.
Imagine a world without Ham! :O
Read that in the voice.
A world where we wouldn't exist since it's an essential trace element. It has various roles involving stuff with our DNA, reproduction system, central nervous system and more.
Excellent video 👍 Thank you 💜
The best trimming , gutters , flashings are made from copper . They tarnish like the Statue of Liberty and get that patina.. beautiful quality about it and i love Victorian architecture mixed with gothic architecture. Wrought iron and carved stone. Quality…. Benchmark quality that we marked time with . Civilization was established with these materials and style . Truth and justice, courthouses . Religion with churches the same . Beautiful materials and craftsmanship.
When the narrator mentioned the pigs being 330 pounds, weirdly the subtitles used the symbol for the British Pound Currency
That ham process tho
I really need to get my head out of the gutter
They show you the cutest pigs in the world and immidietly after their severed legs.... T.T
About gutters then to ham messed my concentration up 😂😂, the ham definitely looked delicious 😋 😋, where can you get this ham and how much?
400€ for 8kg of the ham,
There are comparable, much cheaper options
On eBay, 75€ can get you 5kg of dried ham
I bought this before and each time it was the best decision of my life
I’m quickly reminded that I love seeing how metals are made, and that hate seeing where most food comes from.
Was waiting for the liveleak logo to pop up.
Miss live leak
For the rollers, tons and pressure don’t mix, it’s either tons over the contact surface, or tons psi, but not simply tons of pressure.
Titanium does not melt at 700 degrees C.
Maybe it's just titanium powder. Zinc doesn't have an alloy with titanium and copper, at least not a very common one. I'd imagine it's just mixed into the liquid zinc, not melted together. It's likely Zn8Cu5 if I had to guess
It doesn't need to melt if the zinc is molten
46t I thought those coils were 38k not 92k
Solid zinc to make gutters? That just seems silly and expensive considering what other materials are available.
i mean it's funny at least
Make them of steel. It is only iron and carbon.
@@foureyedchickrust???
zinc is cheap and not every house is made of cardboard and plastic like american houses
@@ttan7293 woah!!!!
this video title 🤣
Ham is haram and I love it.
Bacon > Wagu 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Zinc isn't welded, it's soldered.
Omg that guy who has go poke the the ham with a sharp stick and then SMELL the stick. Uggghl that sounds awful
In the 60th, they were made of 40 foot long clear cedar.
🍖😋
I don't think the salt guy gives a shat.
The gutters are now 3/4 of a millimeter. Up yours, Europe. 'murica.
Backwards gutters.. seems like a bad design. We use a better design in australia.
Don’t even rain there
@paintfatpurple7394 hahaha it does.
Not enough women empowering themselves by doing this dangerous work.
ham process is revolting.
Looks more like it’s rotten than “cured” and the grease just sounds like it’s making it worse.
Just wait until you see what goes into a chicken nugget. Or how tofu is made, or how rice is grown in most of the world!
@@Skorpychan what's the problem with rice growing? & honestly, I think I'd prefer nuggets to this, even if they have beaks & feathers & goodness knows what in them. Leaving meat out for a year (in a Mediterranean climate) before eating doesn't appeal to me!
@@mehere8038 It's more what they fertilise the rice with; untreated human waste.
@@Skorpychan really not a problem for rice, is it! Is a problem for carrots or potatoes, but not for rice! As far as rice is concerned, that's no different to using cow or chicken manure on it. I'd be more worried about the workers in the developed world who are not allowed toilet breaks & so shit in the field while harvesting the lettuce. Do you know how many cases of food poisoning occur every year because of that? It's a LOT!
Im sorry but theres nothing appetizing to me about eating meat thats been sitting out unrefrigerated for two years
