Rams fan here, and of course we love Kevin from when he was here. But besides that he's a great coach and really likeable great guy. The Vikes will do just fine going forward. The players are there, the coaches are there, and the will to win is there. Best of luck the rest of the season.
2 interference calls against us 1 for sure was a ghost call. Conveint hands to the face on a 3-12, and 2 missed interference calls on us. Then to top it off have to listen to Al Michael's who hates the Vikings in the first place. He's a crappy reporter/broadcaster and was told so by Bud early in Michael's career.
At our best we are the best. As a diehard, I knew exactly what we were doing on defense, bet the rams did too. Offense needs to be quicker in general and we will beat people on that alone. We have too much hubris which makes us predictable on defense, gotta be more fluid.

Those phantom defensive pi/holding penalties to stop the Vikings from forcing 4th down were BRUTAL and led to two LA TDs. Can the NFL be anymore obvious that they're trying to let the Rams back in contention? I agree horrible game, but every fucking week these primetime games have such bad, inconsistent officiating conveniently at key moments in the game. Back to earth for me and my Vikings. 5-2 is still a good spot to be in. Flores definitely has to come up with new schemes before next games. Too much film is out there now and good QB's are able to pick apart that scheme as of late. Today was it looks like when the rush is ineffective. This looked like that old Donatel defense where he let guys just run open with that soft zone. Need some new looks asap. More man to man

The playing calling is fine, KOC has maximized Sam Darold’s ability and this is the ceiling. Sam isn’t playing bad but he’s missing lots of plays that are there to be made. His eyes aren’t in the right spot sometimes and he locks on Jettas a lot and doesn’t progress thru his reads fully.
Sam would have had two more TD's without Jefferson falling over his own feet and Nailor dropping a layup. The defense just collapsed again, and again like the Lions game.
That is absolute bullshit. Sam had a 128.8 passer rating today, the best yet of this season. He layers throws into tight windows and escapes pressure, all while in an offense that Cousins said took him a year to fully grasp.
From the very beginning, you know offense had to score 30+ pts to win. Defense wasn't good because they couldn't pressure Stafford...NOT because the DBs couldn't covered. Unfortunately, the oline and dline issues are not fixable in season.

Truth is we don't score after our scripted plays are used up. We make no adjustments defensively or offensively. We scored 6 points in 3 qrts this is not acceptable. Koc just can't do it. He needs to give up playcalling or be relieved of his job. As far as defensively we just kept doing the same things over and over. 0 pressure
And our CBS and lbs particularly pace and Gilmore out of position and looking lost on the field. Most people say it's only 1 or two games but it's been 7 and a pattern has developed. You need to get right or get lost.

Jefferson falling over his own feet in the end zone and Nailor dropping an easy, perfectly thrown ball cost two TD's and turned them into FG's. That, combined with a defense inept to stop Stafford delivered another L.
No pressure on Stafford whatsoever. Defense was lack luster. Vike's should have given Jefferson the ball some more. Still, the damn penalties need to come down to a minimum. KO got out played. Darnold is only temporary. Vike's are a good team, but not "Elite." Still, hopefully the Lions and Rams loss, will be motivation to improve and button up on things. Vike's are still sitting in a good spot, we'll see what the Vike's look like around Week 10, haha. Definitely take this second loss as a learning and growing moment. I'm not even into football, I just enjoy watching it. Vike's gotta improve on 3rd downs... But damn they got some talent though.

Based on one preseason game, and after Darnold posted by far his highest passer rating of the season. If Nailor catches a bunny and the defense isn't awful they win.

Jefferson falling over his own feet in the end zone and Nailor dropping an easy, perfectly thrown ball cost two TD's and turned them into FG's. That, combined with a defense inept to stop Stafford delivered another L.
No pressure on Stafford whatsoever. Defense was lack luster. Vike's should have given Jefferson the ball some more. Still, the damn penalties need to come down to a minimum. KO got out played. Darnold is only temporary. Vike's are a good team, but not "Elite." Still, hopefully the Lions and Rams loss, will be motivation to improve and button up on things. Vike's are still sitting in a good spot, we'll see what the Vike's look like around Week 10, haha. Definitely take this second loss as a learning and growing moment. I'm not even into football, I just enjoy watching it.

Just another loss. Against a 2-4 team and you can't play better. We have Jefferson and we can't score touchdowns. Defense isn't playing well either. Same old vikings. They always seem to lose these must win games. Can't afford to lose since the division is stacked.
