If this is what it takes- 2015

What an incredible year!! I have achieved so much more than I could have imagined.
This summer we even had the chance to compete at Hickstead, which is just amazing. We ended up coming 3rd in both dressage championship classes, and would have been reserve champion in the showjumping, but he just knocked the 3rd to last fence in a very fast jump-off!
His dressage has, and continues to improve vastly, and we won the winter dressage series with the most points out of 5 categories over 6 months. We were also crowned dressage champions of 2015 at another venue, and considering how useless we both used to be at dressage, it is such a huge achievement for us both.
He jumps any kind of cross-country fence now, and all the work with ditches and trakehners has paid off, because he's jumped every single one at loads of events with no problem this year. We won a couple of one-day-events and placed top 3 in many others. He's won eventer's challenges and come 2nd in several hunter trials. His showjumping has improved as well, with a lot more clear rounds and a 1st place in the 90cm class at a local venue.
We also had a play with some affiliated showing, and managed to qualify for the Midland Arab championships next summer on our first outing!
He's the most wonderful little horse to have, and I am so lucky to have him. He loves his work and tries so hard. There have been several times where I have really let him down with a bad stride or line to a fence, but he always saves us both and he really takes care of me.
What a fantastic year we have had, and here's hoping for many more happy and successful years together :) ♥

This reminds me so much of the journey of my dear arabian and me. People used to call me crazy for doing anything and everything with him. But as you know people don't know everything and together you can do anything you want :)

I would just like to say you have made so much improvement with him! I have an Arab myself and I know how hard it can be to not give up. I love how determined you are and how strong you are to go through what all you have gone through

Ok, so your video we made the impossible made me cry, because i made the biggest mistake and i regret it every day, i had an aggressive horse i loved nobody believed in us nobody believed that i could train her but one day i got to the point where i could take her on the trails with my english saddle my step dad now a person that i hate made me mad and he told me to use my spurs on her i told him that she bucked every time i used them so i stopped using them he did not believe me and i got so mad at him and was trying to focus he kept distracting me because she was acting up and he was pretty much yelling at me and i used them and she went bronc on me but stayed in one spot i stayed on when she finely stopped and i got off because i was hurt i told ike aka step dad to hold her head because she bucks when i would try to get off he asked me why and i said because she will buck he said no she wont keep in mind he never watched me or said he was proud of our improvement which was a lot of improvement when he did watch he would tell me what to do and yet he barely knew anything about horses and failed at his own horse so to prove it i leaned forward she bucked and he just watched so when she was done he came over and held her head i got off un tacked her brushed and went to the house crying i should have waited a few days but no one trusted her no one believed in me it was to much and so the next day she went back to her old owner i agreed with my parents i regret that but i wont ever be able to see her again that is what bothers me the most i miss her so much i cried for three hours straight i even cried in dairy queen until ike pointed out that a short person looked just like my bio dad that made me laugh i have cried the whole time while writing this.
